Zedd (2) Week Of March 10, 2018

We do have a mixture of good and bad things happening on the countdown this week. We have another short-tenured countdown song leaving this week, which is sad, we have a super duper old biggest drop this week, which is great, and an awesome biggest jump this week. Kid Kelly guest-hosted this week's countdown because Spyder Harrison was absent this weekend, and I'm okay with that. Before we get to this week's Fresh 45, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You (5th of 9 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

Imagine Dragons - Whatever It Takes (+15) has made an awesome jump in the Top 20 this week. Let's hope this goes to the Top 5 soon.
I was very pleased to see Imagine Dragons - Believer (-10) drop out of the Top 30 this week. They both have the biggest jump and drop this week. Let's see if this song should be out of here soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Keala Settle/Greatest Showman - This Is Me: Her very first countdown appearance from the soundtrack of the movie. The production here is awesome, her vocals shine, and the chorus shines, too. Let's see if I see some success on this song.

Meghan Trainor - No Excuses: This song is so awesome. Not as good as All About That Bass, but it's still an awesome song. I really love the production, she has really good vocals, and it has an awesome lyrical content. And with it's debut in the Top 20, this should hit the Top 5 here. I hope it does.

My Opinion/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Selena Gomez/Marshmello - Wolves: It re-entered the Top 5 this week. I was pleased to see this song back in here. Let's see if it'll get another chance to be at #1.
4. Ed Sheeran - Perfect: It's also back in the Top 5 this week. I was so happy to see it return there. I'm pretty sure this song should be back at the top soon. Hopefully it does.
3. Macklemore/Kesha - Good Old Days: I'd still want this song to stay in the Top 5. I'd like this song to not be out of here. But we're going to see how long it should stay in here.
2. Hailee Steinfeld/Alesso/Florida Georgia Line/Watt - Let Me Go: Looks like it's about to be at the top spot. Since this song is Starving 2.0, and for Starving hitting #1 on this countdown before, this song should most likely hit the top spot here. Hopefully it does next week.
1. Zedd/Maren Morris/Grey - The Middle: Holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. I don't know why it's still at that spot. This seriously needs to be out of here. I'm so done with this song. It's not awful, but I just don't like it very much. It's close to being on the crap list. Hopefully thissong should be out of here soon.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Portugal. The Man - Live In The Moment
2. Demi Lovato - Tell Me You Love Me (DEBUT)
3. Dustin Atlas/Erin Bowman - Fake Friends
4. Post Malone/Ty Dolla $ign - Psycho
5. Welshly Arms - Legendary
6. Rudimental/Jess Glynne/Macklemore/Dan Caplen - These Days
7. Alice Merton - No Roots
8. Khalid - Young, Dumb, & Broke
9. Dua Lipa - IDGAF (DEBUT)
10. Foster The People - Sit Next To Me (DEBUT)
11. Marshmello/Anne-Marie - Friends
12. Niall Horan - On The Loose
13. 30 Seconds To Mars - Walk On Water
14. Bazzi - Mine

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Demi Lovato - Tell Me You Love Me: This song is so much better. The production here is very amazing, her vocals sounded so much better than Sorry Not Sorry, and the chorus was also so much better. Let's hope this song debuts the countdown soon.

Dua Lipa - IDGAF: Just a step up from New Rules. This song to me is pretty low-key. But I do love her voice in this song, especially in the chorus. This should debut the countdown when New Rules leaves the countdown.

Foster The People - Sit Next To Me: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. If you guys remembered this band, they brought us Pumped Up Kicks back in 2011. But now they're back. I do heard this song a lot on Alt Nation, as it spent 2 weeks at #1 on the Alt-8. Now, on to the song, the production is amazing, the vocals are amazing, the chorus was amazing, everything on this song is amazing. Here's to hoping it debuts the countdown soon.
