Panic! At The Disco (5) Week Of October 6, 2018

And of course, I'd like to wish reader WAMB10 a happy birthday. Yesterday was her birthday. Overall, the countdown this week looks pretty good. But two of our exits this week were short-tenured songs. Though we did lose an old song, which is good. But for now, we send you right to the countdown. #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Liam Payne - Strip That Down (2nd and final week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

The big jump this week in the Top 10 from Zedd/Elley Duhe - Happy Now (+10) makes me loathe. This better not become a hit.
I also did not expect Taylor Swift - Delicate (-22) to drop out of the Top 20 towards the Bottom 5. Though it's almost off the pop radio charts, but I'm hoping it should move back up again soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Silk City/Dua Lipa - Electricity: It's such an outstanding song. I've actually never heard of this EDM group before this song. This EDM group consists of Mark Ronson, who made his smash hit, Uptown Funk from a few years ago, and it also consists Diplo. Now, on to my opinion. I love the production on this one, Dua Lipa's vocals shine throughout the whole song, and I love that drop in the chorus. Let's see how this one does on here.

Shawn Mendes/Zedd - Lost In Japan: This is such an awesome song. I like this version better than the original version. Now, this song was just a step-up from Nervous. It does sound like Stay and The Middle mainly because it uses the same sound in the chorus. Though Shawn's vocals are not annoying like in The Middle and Happy Now, they're actually very good. And the production in this one was awesome. Let's see if this one does awesome on this countdown.

The Chainsmokers/Kelsea Ballerini - This Feeling: The best countdown debut this week. This is just a step up from Side Effects. Though it isn't as good as Something Just Like This, but it's still amazing. It's such a great duet between those two. Kelsea's vocals in the first verse sounded amazing, and Andrew Taggart's vocals are so great in the second verse. I fell in love with the chorus. Let's see if it'll do amazing on this countdown.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Marshmello/Bastille - Happier: Because it was doing great on the Alt-8, this song makes it's debut here this week. Now, back to my opinion. The production in this one was pretty good, Dan Smith's vocals are so awesome, and I love that drop in the chorus. Though it should most likely become a bigger hit than Friends, but Friends is actually better than this one. Let's see if it'll go to the top spot soon.
4. Charlie Puth - The Way I Am: It even debuted the Top 5 this week. Now, my opinion on this song is that this song was just a step up from Done For Me. I really love Charlie's vocals in this one, the lyrical content is nice, and I fell in love with the chorus. Let's see if this should be his 4th #1 song here.
3. Selena Gomez - Back To You: It re-entered the Top 3 this week. Let's see if this should have another chance at the top spot.
2. 5 Seconds Of Summer - Youngblood: I think I still want this song to stay at that spot. But let's see if it'll go back to the top soon.
1. Panic! At The Disco - High Hopes: Holding the top spot for the 3rd week in a row. I was very pleased that it's still there. Let's see how long it can stay there even more.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Calvin Harris/Sam Smith - Promises
2. Shawn Mendes - Nervous (RE-ENTRY)
3. Tiesto/Dzeko/Preme/Post Malone - Jackie Chan
4. Halsey - Without Me (DEBUT)
5. Walk The Moon - Kamikaze
6. Pitbull/Theron Theron - Free Free Free
7. Ariana Grande - Breathin'
8. The Struts/Kesha - Body Talks
9. Jason Derulo/David Guetta/Nicki Minaj/Willy William - Goodbye
10. Lady Gaga - I'll Never Love Again (DEBUT)
11. Benny Blanco/Halsey/Khalid - Eastside
12. Alex Aiono - Big Mistake
13. Twenty One Pilots - My Blood
14. Loud Luxury/brando - Body

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Shawn Mendes - Nervous: It re-entered Hit Bound this week after Lost In Japan debuted the countdown this week. Let's see if this should have another chance to debut the countdown.

Halsey - Without Me: I don't know what's going on with this song, but this song was just not good. The song itself was slow and boring. The production is underwhelming and her vocals do not sound good. This is probably her worst song to date. It better not debut the countdown.

Lady Gaga - I'll Never Love Again: That's the only good debut of the week this week. This song was taking from the A Star Is Born soundtrack. Though this song isn't as good as The Cure, but it's still amazing. She really has some talented vocals and the chorus is what I fell in love with. Let's see if it'll debut the countdown soon.
