AT40: Ariana Grande (1) Week Of March 30, 2019

Hey my fellow bloggers. I now have reached 30,000 pageviews on my blog. I'm thinking I might do a special post instead of waiting for 50,000 pageviews, because that's going to be a very long time. Anyway. Look forward to that. But first, here's the AT40 from a couple of weeks ago. Pete Wentz guest hosted. So, let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 45, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

G-Eazy/Halsey - Him & I (1st and only week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

Since Jonas Brothers - Sucker (+16) was going strong on airplay, it had the biggest jump this week all the way to the Top 20. They had the best week ever.
I'm not too thrilled about Dua Lipa - Swan Song having the biggest drop this week. But what's also tied for the biggest drop this week was Travis Scott/Drake - Sicko Mode (-4), which I was so pleased about. Now, this song seriously needs to be out of here.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

LIVVIA - Damn: I've been hearing this song a lot on Venus before it debuted here. And I gotta say, this song was such an amazing song. She has an amazing voice in this one and the production sounded marvelous. The chorus in this one is what I fell in love with. Let's see how this one does here.

Bebe Rexha - Last Hurrah: This was such an amazing song. Though it wasn't as good as I'm A Mess, but it is still amazing. I've already explained why this song was amazing when it debuted Hit Bound a few weeks ago. Bebe's vocals shine pretty much throughout the whole song, the production is amazing, the lyrics are amazing, and that chorus was amazing. Let's see if this one becomes a hit.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Ariana Grande - Thank U, Next: Oh great. This song is finally dropping. Now, this needs to be out of the Top 5 next week. I really had it with this song.
4. Ellie Goulding/Diplo/Swae Lee - Close To Me: It debuted the Top 5 this week. I'm so pleased to see that. Now, back to my opinion. The production is amazing, Ellie's vocals shine pretty much throughout the entire song, especially when she hits those high notes in the chorus, and Swae Lee's verse sounded so much better than Sunflower. Let's see if this should go to the top soon.
3. Benny Blanco/Halsey/Khalid - Eastside: It dropped out of the top spot. Though it did had an amazing run at the top for a few weeks. I still want this song to go back to the top.
2. Halsey - Without Me: Can we please let this song drop? I really am so tired of hearing this song. This seriously needs to be out of here.
1. Ariana Grande - 7 Rings: I'm so glad to see this song at the top. She really is the queen of the American Top 40. Let's see how long it can hold the spot.

Now, here are the songs they played for Breakouts/On The Verge:

Alessia Cara - Out Of Love
Ally Brooke/Tyga - Low Key
Panic! At The Disco - Hey Look Ma, I Made It
Mabel - Don't Call Me Up

And here are the songs they played as Extras/Optional Extras:

Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We're Goin' Down
Fall Out Boy - My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light 'Em Up)
Pitbull/Ne-Yo/Afrojack/Nayer - Give Me Everything
Fall Out Boy - Thnks Fr The Mmrs
Fall Out Boy - Centuries

My Top 20 Review:
