#1. Post Malone - Circles (#1) [2nd Week At #1]
#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Marshmello/Bastille - Happier (1 of 5 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
Selena Gomez - Lose You To Love Me (+6) has been really gaining lots and lots of airplay on the pop radio charts. What a week for this song!
Billie Eilish - Bad Guy and Post Malone/Young Thug - Goodbyes (-5) were tied for the biggest drop this week. I'm actually okay with the first one, but I'm so pleased about the last one.
New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:
French Montana/Post Malone/Cardi B./Rvssian - Writing On The Wall: You know, I really enjoyed his music. But this song was definitely garbage. You see, he collaborates with two artists that I hate. He should've known better. Now, on to the song. The production in this one sounded boring, Post's vocals sounded extremely awful in this one, and I really hate Cardi B.'s verse. I'll admit that French sounded okay in this one. This better do poorly on here.
Blackbear - Hot Girl Bummer: Now, as you know, he had a horrible song called Do Re Mi back in 2017, and it landed at #3 at my Bottom 10 Songs of the year. Now we have this song, which is just decent. I'm not huge on the production, but Blackbear actually sounded a little better in this one. The chorus sounded okay in this one. Let's see how this one does.
Kesha/Big Freedia - Raising Hell: I've already went over my opinion back when it debuted the countdown a couple weeks ago. This was such an amazing song. The production in this one sounded spectacular, Kesha's vocals sounded amazing, the chorus was marvelous, and the drop was absolutely amazing. Let's see how this one does on here.
Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now: The best debut this week. We finally have the big return of her on here. Now, she had a big year last year when New Rules become the #1 song of 2018 on here. Now, as far as the song goes, it was amazing. The production in this one sounded amazing, Dua's vocals sounded absolutely amazing, and that chorus is what I really love. Let's see if this should become a big hit on here.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Ed Sheeran/Khalid - Beautiful People: I still somehow would like to see it in the Top 3. Hopefully that happens soon.
4. Jonas Brothers - Only Human: It dropped out of the Top 3. Though I'm not sure if it'll be back here or not, but we're gonna have to see.
3. Lizzo - Good As Hell: It debuted the Top 5 this week. I'm so glad to see that. This is way better than Truth Hurts. Now, back to my opinion. The production in this one sounded absolutely amazing, Lizzo's vocals are so much better than her other songs, and that chorus was remarkable. Hopefully it'll be at the top soon.
2. Lewis Capaldi - Someone You Loved: I still would like to see it back at the top. Though I'm not sure if I'm right, but let's see.
1. Post Malone - Circles: Holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. I really don't know why it's still there, I am not happy about that. We seriously need a better #1 song than that. Hopefully next week.
