Post Malone (2) Week Of February 8, 2020

As far as the Super Bowl goes, I thought it was so awesome. I had a fun time watching it. The Chiefs won this one and I'm glad about that. The final score is 19-16. And Jennifer Lopez and Shakira did an amazing job in the halftime show. I thought they sounded amazing throughout the whole show. Anyway. Enough of that. Let's get to it! #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Halsey - Without Me (5th and final week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so glad to see Rex Orange County - 10/10 (+10) in the Top 30. That is actually a 11/10 for me. Now, hopefully it'll be in the Top 20 soon.

I was actually surprised to see Sam Smith - How Do You Sleep? (-21) to have the biggest drop this week all the way out of the Top 30. Though it is going to be the end of this song on here.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

The Weeknd - Heartless: I've gone over my opinion back when it debuted the AT40. This was such an outstanding song. The production in this one sounded outstanding, the vocals sounded absolutely outstanding, the chorus in this one sounded outstanding, everything on this song sounded outstanding. Let's see if it does well on here.

Alec Benjamin - Demons: This song is actually a little better than his other songs. But I gotta say, this song was still a mediocre song. Alec's vocals in this one still don't sound good, but the production in this one was awesome. Other than that, the chorus sounded decent. So yeah, overall it's a mediocre song for me. Let's see how this one does.

Halsey - You Should Be Sad: The best countdown debut this week. That was definitely an amazing song. It's definitely a step up from Finally // Beautiful Stranger. And it even feels like a country song. Now, on to my opinion. The guitar in this one sounded amazing, Halsey's vocals sounded heaven, the lyrics are absolutely amazing, and that chorus sounded heaven. Here's to hoping that it should do amazing on here.

Lewis Capaldi - Before You Go: This is also an outstanding song. This is definitely a step up from Someone You Loved. Now, on to the song. The instrumentation in this one sounded remarkable, Lewis's vocals sounded absolutely amazing, I'm a fan of the lyrics, and the chorus sounded amazing. Hopefully this one does amazing on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now: I'm so glad to see this song in the Top 5. Now, I'm hoping this should be her first #1 song on here. Let's see if it happens.

4. Niall Horan - Nice To Meet Ya: I somehow would like this song to get back in the Top 3, but I don't think it's going to happen. But let's see if they confirmed me next week.

3. Selena Gomez - Lose You To Love Me: I'm super pleased to see this song in the Top 3. Now, I'm sure hoping it should be at the top spot soon.

2. Harry Styles - Adore You: It's almost there. Now, can it be his first #1 song on here? We're going to have to find out soon.

1. Post Malone - Circles: HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?????!!!!! I really have no idea why it's still at the top. THIS DOES NOT DESERVE THAT SPOT!!!!!!!!!! We seriously need a better #1 song next week (Adore You, Lose You To Love Me, Don't Start Now, etc.) and let it leave the Top 5 and BE OUT OF THE COUNTDOWN!!!!!!!!!!

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. BTS/Lauv - Make It Right

2. Demi Lovato - Anyone (DEBUT)

3. Khalid - Up All Night

4. Selena Gomez - Rare

5. X Lovers - Play Your Game

6. Harry Styles - Watermelon Sugar

7. Niall Horan - Put A Little Love On Me

8. Post Malone/Ozzy Osbourne/Travis Scott - Take What You Want

9. Taylor Swift - The Man

10. Meghan Trainor/Nicki Minaj - Nice To Meet Ya (DEBUT)

11. Louis Tomlinson - Don't Let It Break Your Heart

12. All Time Low - Some Kind Of Disaster

13. Blackbear - Me & Ur Ghost (DEBUT)

14. JP Saxe/Julia Michaels - If The World Was Ending (DEBUT)

15. Dua Lipa - Physical (DEBUT)

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Demi Lovato - Anyone: This is one of the songs that she performed at the Grammys last month before the song was released and I thought it sounded amazing. Now, on to my opinion. The piano in this one sounded amazing, Demi's vocals sounded fantastic, and that chorus was absolutely phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Meghan Trainor/Nicki Minaj - Nice To Meet Ya: Hey, that's the same song title as what we have currently on the countdown. Now, this was such an outstanding song. This is definitely a step up from Wave. The production in this one sounded spectacular, Meghan's vocals sounded amazing, Nicki has nailed her verse, and that chorus is what I fell in love with. Now, if this debuts the countdown and that our current one is still on there, we would have 2 songs that have the same song title on here. Let's see if it'll happen.

Blackbear - Me & Ur Ghost: This song was definitely mediocre. Not as good as Hot Girl Bummer, but it's still mediocre. I'm not too fond on the vocals here, but the production sounded solid. Other than that, I'd say that the chorus sounded okay in this one. So yeah. It's just a mediocre song overall. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

JP Saxe/Julia Michaels - If The World Was Ending: This is just a decent song. There's nothing really interesting about this one. Now, on to the song. The piano in this one sounded awesome, though JP Saxe's vocals in this one sounded decent. But Julia's vocals actually sounded amazing in this one. And other than that, the chorus in this one is not bad. So yeah, it's just decent for now. But I am going to give this song a couple more listens and I'm hoping it'll change to green.

Dua Lipa - Physical: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. Since Don't Start Now hit the Top 5 this week, this song now debuts on here. Now, this song was definitely a step up from Don't Start Now. The production in this one sounded phenomenal, Dua's vocals sounded heaven, the lyrics are amazing, and that chorus sounded absolutely heaven. Hopefully it'll debut the countdown soon.
