AT40: Ariana Grande (3) Week Of February 6, 2021
So the Super Bowl is this weekend. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are playing in this one this time. I'm hoping the Buccaneers should win this one. I really can't wait to watch it. I also can't wait to see The Weeknd's performance during the halftime show. Hopefully he nails it. Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, it still looks super amazing. We're still in the Golden Ages of the countdown, which was definitely amazing to see. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! #1. Ariana Grande - Positions (#1) [3rd Week At #1]
#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Selena Gomez - Lose You To Love Me (1 of 2 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
For the second week in a row, Justin Bieber - Anyone (+7) had the biggest jump this week as it jumped into the Top 20. I'm so glad to see it in there. Now, hopefully it'll be in the Top 10 very soon.
The Weeknd - Blinding Lights (-4) had the biggest drop this week and it's finally on it's way out. I know this song was super old, but I actually never got sick of it because it was in my Top 10 songs of last year. But I can't wait to see him perform this song during the Super Bowl halftime show.
New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:
Bad Bunny/Jhay Cortez - Dakiti: Oh boy... he has made his return on there! Now, this is absolutely another garbage song. I don't really know what that is, but I just can't like this song! The production is super boring, Bad Bunny's vocals were absolutely awful, the lyrics are a mess, the chorus was super bad, and I'm not really a fan of Jhay Cortez's part. So yeah, not a fan of this. Hopefully this doesn't become a hit on there.
Olivia Rodrigo - Driver's License: This is the only great debut we have this week. Now, before this song, I've known her since she was on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and she was actually the star of that. As for this song, it's definitely amazing. The piano sounded so amazing, Olivia's vocals were absolutely phenomenal, the lyrics are very nicely-written, and the chorus was super amazing. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Dua Lipa/DaBaby - Levitating: No, I don't actually want to see this song drop. I do wanna see this song in the Top 3, but I'm sure it'll be in there within the next week or so.
4. Justin Bieber/Benny Blanco - Lonely: It's almost in the Top 3. Now, I'm sure this is going to be in the Top 3 within the next week or so as well. But I'm not sure if it'll be next week, but hopefully soon it'll be in there.
3. Justin Bieber/Chance The Rapper - Holy: I'm fine with this song still in the Top 3. But I do prefer Lonely over this. I'll be good if Lonely replaces this song in the Top 3 next week. But let's see if it'll happen or not.
2. 24kgoldn/Iann Dior - Mood: Wow, this song has really been holding this spot for a few weeks. But yeah, this might stick around in that spot for a few more weeks longer.
1. Ariana Grande - Positions: Holding the top spot for the 3rd week in a row. Wow, I'm super duper pleased that it's still in there! But I'm sure another song might hit the top spot next week, but let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
