#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Harry Styles - Watermelon Sugar (1 of 7 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so pleased about Marshmello/Jonas Brothers - Leave Before You Love Me (+9) taking the biggest jump into the Top 10. Now, I'm really hoping that this should be in the Top 5 soon.

I'm not too thrilled about Glass Animals - Heat Waves (-7) taking the biggest drop. This does not deserve to have it at all! But I do have a feeling that this might be the end of it.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Polo G - Rapstar: This song has actually been #1 on the Hot 100, which I'm fine with. This is just a decent song. There's nothing really interesting to say about this one. With my opinion, the production actually sounded great, but I'm not really huge on Polo G's vocals. He still doesn't sound good here. But the lyrics were fine and the chorus was just decent. So yeah, this is decent overall. Let's see how far this one gets.

Nessa Barrett/Jxdn - La Di Die: I'm fine with this song being back on the countdown. I'm definitely still giving credit to that. Now, let's see how far this one should get in it's second run.

Tones And I - Cloudy Day: This is also another decent song. There isn't really anything interesting to say about it. Though the production here was outstanding, but I'm not really huge on her vocals. Though she doesn't sound as bad as she did in Dance Monkey and Bad Child, but not by much. And I also don't like those backing vocals in the chorus. Though the lyrics were still very nicely-written, so I'll still give credit to that. But yeah, this is another decent song for me overall. Let's see how this one does on there.

Tate McRae/Khalid - Working: This is the only great debut we have this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. For my opinion, the production was super outstanding, Tate's vocals were super amazing here, Khalid's vocals were so amazing in his contribution, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and that chorus was so phenomenal. Hopefully it'll do amazing on there.

Nelly/Florida Georgia Line - Lil Bit: This also re-entered the countdown. I'm pleased to see this song back on there. Now, let's see how this one does in it's second run on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Ariana Grande - POV: I'm fine with this song holding at this spot. But I don't think it's actually going to be in the Top 3. Maybe it might start dropping probably within the next week or so.

4. Lil Nas X - Montero (Call Me By Your Name): Ok, that's fine. I'll still give credit to this song dropping and being out of the Top 3. But yeah, I don't think it's ever going to hit the top spot on there.

3. AJR - Way Less Sad: I'm super pleased to see this song in the Top 3. And this is their second straight song to hit the Top 3 on there. But I don't think it's ever going to hit #1 on there because it's them. But I'm really hoping that this should stay in the Top 3 for a little while longer.

2. Doja Cat/SZA - Kiss Me More: It's almost at the top spot! I'm so pleased to see this song at that spot, but can this be her first ever #1 song on there? We're gonna have to find out. Let's see if it'll be at the top spot soon.

1. Olivia Rodrigo - Good 4 U: Holding the top spot for the 4th week in a row. Wow, this song has really been doing super amazing on there. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Roddy Ricch - Late At Night (DEBUT)

2. Willow/Travis Barker - Transparent Soul (DEBUT)

3. DJ Khaled/Post Malone/Megan Thee Stallion/Lil Baby/DaBaby - I Did It

4. Weezer/AJR - All My Favorite Songs (DEBUT)

5. Riton & Nightcrawlers/Mufasa/Hypeman - Friday

6. NF - Just Like You (DEBUT)

7. Nic D - Fine Apple (DEBUT)

8. Mimi Webb - Good Without

9. Doja Cat/The Weeknd - You Right (DEBUT)

10. Billie Eilish - Lost Cause

11. Giveon - Heartbreak Anniversary

12. Lorde - Solar Power (DEBUT)

13. Coldplay - Higher Power

14. Annita - Girl From Rio

15. Mooski - Track Star

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Roddy Ricch - Late At Night: Though this song is actually a little bit of a step up from Rockstar, but this is still a decent song. There's nothing interesting to say about it. Although the production sounded so outstanding, but again I'm not really huge on Roddy's vocals. He still doesn't sound good here. But the lyrics were still very nicely-written and the chorus here was decent. But yeah, this is a decent song overall. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Willow/Travis Barker - Transparent Soul: This is such an amazing song. I've been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. With my opinion, the production and instrumentation here was super amazing, Willow's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were very interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. But yeah, this is such an amazing song for me overall to listen to. Here's to hoping that it should be on the countdown soon.

Weezer/AJR - All My Favorite Songs: The best Hit Bound entrant. And this is actually the remix of it. We haven't heard much from this band since Africa was there back in 2018, and that was my top song of the year back then. And now, they're back. Now, this is another song that I heard a lot on Alt Nation, but it was the original version that they have played. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a super heavenly song. The production was super heavenly, Rivers's vocals were super heavenly, Jack's vocals were so heavenly in his contribution, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and that chorus was extremely heavenly. This is definitely going to end up in my Top 3 Songs of the year when it debuts the countdown. Hopefully it'll be in there soon.

NF - Just Like You: He's finally back after a year and a half off. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely an amazing song. For my opinion, the production was super outstanding, NF's vocals were so amazing especially his rapping, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and that chorus was super amazing. But yeah, this is such an amazing and fun song overall to listen to. Here's to hoping that it should be on the countdown soon.

Nic D - Fine Apple: This is just a mediocre song. There's seriously nothing here that's interesting to say about it. Though the production here was decent, but I don't think Nic sounds good here and I don't think the lyrics were interesting. Although the chorus was okay. That's all I have to say about this one. But yeah, mediocre overall. I'll be fine with this song making the countdown soon. Let's see if it'll be in there soon.

Doja Cat/The Weeknd - You Right: The last time they collaborated was the In Your Eyes remix which I loved back then. Now, since Kiss Me More hit the Top 3 on the countdown, this song has now made it's debut on there. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely an amazing song. The production was so fun, Doja's vocals were absolutely amazing, the lyrics were super interesting, and Abel's vocals in the chorus were super amazing. And I'm sure this song is going to make it's debut on the countdown when Kiss Me More hit the top spot. Hopefully it'll happen soon.

Lorde - Solar Power: They have finally made their return on there. We haven't heard from them in a while. The last song we heard from them was Green Light, and that was a Hit Bound dropout back in 2017. As far as this new song goes, it's absolutely amazing. The production was so amazing, her vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.
