2021 Lights Over Paris Hit Bound Hero Award: Weezer/AJR - All My Favorite Songs

Now, let's talk about the shortest and longest tenured songs on the countdown, because I can't remember what the shortest and longest tenured songs were on the American Top 40 this year. As far as it goes, we do have a lot of songs that were on the countdown for a short time and then they came on Hit Bound. Though some of them lasted a long time on there. So, here are the songs that have their shortest and longest tenured countdown run on the Hits 1 Weekend Countdown.

Shortest Tenured Songs:

Shaylen - Goodbye (1 Week) (Debuted On January 23, 2021; Exited On January 30, 2021)

Foushee - Deep End (1 Week) (Debuted On February 6, 2021; Exited On February 13, 2021)

Coldplay - Higher Power (1 Week) (Debuted On May 15, 2021; Exited On May 22, 2021)

Longest Tenured Song:

Glass Animals - Heat Waves (25 Weeks) (Debuted On January 30, 2021; Exited On July 24, 2021)

We also have a song that debuted in 2020 and lasted far into 2021 and had a longer countdown tenured than Heat Waves, and that song is:

Tate McRae - You Broke Me First (30 Weeks) (Debuted On October 3, 2020; Exited On May 1, 2021)

And the last thing I want to mention is the Biggest Whiff Of The Year. That means it's the biggest song on Billboard's Year-End Hot 100 that failed to be on Hits 1. So here's the biggest song of the year on Billboard that failed to be on Hits 1.

2021 Biggest Whiff Of The Year Award Winner: Luke Combs - Forever After All
