AT40: Nicky Youre (2) Week Of September 3, 2022
So we are now officially in the month of September. And of course I hope everyone's been having an amazing Labor Day weekend. And of course I'll be starting my second year of college on Tuesday. Hopefully it'll be a better year than last time. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so interesting. There has been lots of great stuff that happened on there this week, but I'm gonna get to some of them later on in this post. #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Olivia Rodrigo - Good 4 U (6 of 7 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
Kane Brown - Grand (+10) sure has been gaining lots of airplay on the pop radio charts and I'm so pleased to see it take the biggest jump. And hopefully it'll go to the Top 10 soon.
Sam Smith - Love Me More (-15) has been losing lots of airplay recently and I actually expected it to take the biggest drop. And I'm sure it's definitely going to be out of here soon.
New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:
Stephen Sanchez - Until I Found You: This is just a decent song. There isn't really anything interesting to say about it. Though I'm not really huge on the production here, but Stephen's vocals actually don't sound that bad here and the chorus was just decent. And I think the lyrics were still fine here, so I'll still give credit to that. But this is decent overall. There's also another version of the song where it featured Em Beihold which they should've picked up instead of the original. But oh well, this version without her was decent. Let's see how this one does on there.
Harry Styles - Music For A Sushi Restaurant: While Late Night Talking is currently doing so well, on there, we now have this song making it's debut. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely an amazing song. But definitely not as good as Late Night Talking, but it's still amazing. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Harry's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. And I'm sure this is also going to do so well on there because we all know who he is. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.
Morgan Wallen - Wasted On You: I've been hearing this song a lot on The Highway. And I remember when he had Heartless with Diplo and Julia Michaels 2 years ago on there, and that was a song that I actually enjoyed back then. And now, this is his first solo appearance on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song and it's actually a step up from Heartless. With my opinion on this song, the production was so amazing, Morgan's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see how far this one should get on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God): I'm still waiting for this song to move up and be in the Top 3. But I'm sure hoping that it'll do it next week.
4. Harry Styles - As It Was: I'm still good with this song still in there. However, it might start dropping here within the next week or so.
3. Lizzo - About Damn Time: Yeah, I'm sure this song is going to hang around in the Top 3 for a little while longer because of how well it did at the top spot. Let's see how long it will last for this song to stay in there.
2. Harry Styles - Late Night Talking: Once again, I'm still waiting for this song to be at the top spot. I know he's no-stranger to the top spot on there so hopefully that next week it will be in there.
1. Nicky Youre/Dazy - Sunroof: Holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. I'm so pleased that it's still there, though I do know another song might make it to the top spot next week to replace it, but let's see if it'll stay in there or not.
