Miley Cyrus (1) Week Of October 7, 2023

So the month of October is now officially upon us and spooky season is here. And we are also in the last quarter of the year as well. I know time sure has been flying by so fast. Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks super interesting. #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Charlie Puth/Jung Kook - Left And Right (3 of 4 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm fine with Billie Eilish - What Was I Made For (+14) taking the biggest jump to the Top 10. I'll still give credit to that. Though I don't think it's ever going to hit the Top 5 on there, but I'm still okay with that.

I'm not too thrilled to see Nicki Minaj - Last Time I Saw You (-13) take the biggest drop. This does not deserve to take it! But hopefully it'll move back up soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Usher/Summer Walker/21 Savage - Good Good: He has finally made his first countdown appearance since 2014 on there. Though this wasn't the only time that Usher and Summer Collab together because the last time those two collaborated was Come Thru back in 2019. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely an amazing and fun song. But definitely not as good as Come Thru, but it's still amazing. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, both Usher and Summer sound super amazing, the lyrics were so interesting, the chorus was so phenomenal, and 21 Savage's rapping sounded super amazing in his verse. Let's see how this one does on there.

Diplo/Jessie Murph/Polo G - Heartbroken: The best countdown debut this week. This actually sounds like a country song production-wise even though it's from an EDM artist. But this is absolutely a phenomenal country-EDM song. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Jessie's vocals were pretty phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, the chorus was so heavenly, and Polo G's rapping in his verse was super phenomenal. Let's see how far this goes on there.

Jung Kook/Jack Harlow - 3D: This song has now joined Seven on there this week since it's about to be on it's way out of here. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song and it's actually a little bit of a step up from Seven. With my opinion on this song, the production was so amazing, Jung Kook's vocals were super amazing, Jack's vocals in his verse were also super amazing, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see how far this one gets on there.

*NSYNC - Better Place: So Justin Timberlake's boy band has reunited once again. I know this boy band was popular in the 90's/2000's because they have some hits during this time back then. And now, they're back. And this new song was actually taken from the soundtrack of the new Trolls: Band Together movie, which I'm really looking forward to seeing in theaters. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production and the whistling was so phenomenal and catchy, all of the boys sound super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should become a hit on there which I'm sure it will.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. The Weeknd/Playboi Carti/Madonna - Popular: I actually don't want this song to drop. I really would like to see it in the Top 3, but maybe it might happen.

4. Olivia Rodrigo - Bad Idea Right?: I'm pleased to see this song in the Top 5. It really deserves to be in there! And hopefully this song should be in the Top 3 next week.

3. Doechii - What It Is (Block Boy): I have a feeling that this song is going to leave the Top 3 very soon. But it still had a nice time in there though.

2. Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer: It dropped out of the top spot once again. But it still had yet another amazing run on there. Though I'm sure this song is going to hang around in the Top 3 for a few more weeks longer at the very least.

1. Miley Cyrus - Used To Be Young: I'm so pleased to see this song at the top spot. This is now her second career #1 song on there, which was amazing. Now, let's see how long it'll hold the spot.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. PinkPantheress - Mosquito

2. Ed Sheeran - American Town

3. Loud Luxury/Two Friends/Bebe Rexha - If Only I

15. Travis Scott - I Know

16. Maneskin - Honey (Are U Coming?)

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Jaden Hossler - Chrome Hearted: So I finally realized that Jxdn was a dumb stage name so he has to change it (And I hope Jvke and D4vd do the same thing very soon). I know he has been making some terrible music by that dumb stage name before. But I gotta say, this song is actually not that bad, but it's actually decent. With my opinion on this song, the production still sounds amazing and it sounds a lot better than in his other songs by the dumb stage name, but Jaden's vocals still don't sound good here and the chorus sounds fine. But the lyrics were still so interesting, so I'll still give credit to that. But this is decent overall. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Kenya Grace - Strangers: This is the only great debut we have this week. And what I've noticed about this song is that it actually seems like it's going viral recently. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely another phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Kenya's vocals were pretty phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll make the countdown soon.

Zach Bryan/Kacey Musgraves - I Remember Everything: I'm pleased to see this song come back on there. I actually didn't expect it to happen though but it somehow managed to do it. Now, let's see if it'll have another chance to be on the countdown soon.
