AT40: Doja Cat (4) Week Of December 2, 2023

So the month of December is now finally here, and that means we are now 1 month away from the new year. Gosh, I know time sure has been flying by so fast. Also, my birthday is coming next Monday. I'm going to be turning 21, which is actually going to be the biggest one yet. I get to start gambling at the casinos and start drinking some beer and stuff. Hopefully it's a blast! Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so amazing. There has been lots of amazing stuff happening on there this week. But like always, I'm gonna get to them later on in this post. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 40, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Sam Smith/Kim Petras - Unholy (1 of 6 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm super pleased to see Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now (+7) take the biggest jump. This really deserves it! And I'm sure this is definitely going to be in the Top 20 next week. Hopefully I'm right.

The Weeknd/Playboi Carti/Madonna - Popular (-4) sure has been losing lots of airplay recently. And I'm sure this song is going to be leaving here very soon.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

Dua Lipa - Houdini: What I've noticed about this song is that it was actually produced by Kevin Parker and Tame Impala, which I think is super amazing. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Dance The Night, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Dua's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. SZA - Snooze: Again I'm pleased that it's still in the Top 5, but like what I said maybe this might be it's last week in there. I'm sure it's going to start dropping and be on it's way out of here within the next week or so.

4. Miley Cyrus - Used To Be Young: Gosh, when is this song going to move up and get to the Top 3? This better do it next week.

3. Doechii - What It Is (Block Boy): Yeah I don't think this song is ever going to hit the top spot on there. But maybe it might stay in the Top 5 for a few more weeks longer and then be on it's way out of here. But let's see what happens next.

2. Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer: I'm super pleased to see this song move back up to that spot, but again it's never going to come back to the top spot. But maybe it might stay in there for at least a couple more weeks.

1. Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red: Holding the top spot for the 4th week in a row. Gosh, this song sure has been doing super amazing on there recently and I'm super duper pleased that it's still at this spot. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
