Olivia Rodrigo (2) Week Of December 16, 2023

So I've officially turned 21 on Monday. It actually feels super good in that age. Gosh, I sure am getting old. And I had a blast on my 21st birthday because I went to a casino for the first time and I started gambling. I actually thought I did well on my first time. Although I sometimes lose when I gamble, but I thought that I still did well on my first time there. I also went to a bar and I tried a beer for the first time and I actually thought it was pretty good. Though it's kinda bubbly, but it's still pretty good. So yeah, overall it was a blast. Also, I have some Year-End posts coming out after I get done with this post. So look forward to that. Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so interesting. We do have quite another amazing Top 5 this week, but I'm gonna get to it later on in this post like always. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero (5 of 10 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so pleased to see AJR - Yes, I'm A Mess (+10) take the biggest jump into the Top 10. It really deserves to be in there! Now, let's see if it'll go to the Top 5 soon.

I'm not too thrilled to see Olivia Rodrigo - Can't Catch Me Now (-5) take the biggest drop. It's only it's second week in there! Come on, this better not be out of here too soon and hopefully it'll move up very soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Thirty Seconds To Mars - Seasons: The best countdown debut this week. And this was actually their first countdown appearance since Closer To The Edge back in 2011, which was super interesting. And I've been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation as well. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song. But definitely not as good as Walk On Water, but it's still heavenly. With my opinion, the production was super phenomenal, Jared Leto's vocals were so heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly. Let's see how far this one goes on there.

Noah Kahan - Stick Season: This is another song that I've been hearing a lot on Alt Nation. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely an outstanding song and it's definitely a step up from Dial Drunk. With my opinion, the production was so outstanding, Noah's vocals were super outstanding, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so amazing. Let's see how this one does on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Miley Cyrus - Used To Be Young: Well I actually expected this song to drop out of the Top 3 this week. But again it still had an amazing run in there. But I'm sure this might stay in the Top 5 for a couple more weeks or so.

4. Dua Lipa - Houdini: It debuted the Top 5 this week. I'm so pleased to see this song in there. It totally deserves it! Now, let's see if it'll go to the Top 3 soon.

3. Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now: I'm pleased to see this song in the Top 3. And I'm sure this song is going to hit the top spot very soon. Let's see if it does.

2. Tate McRae - Greedy: I have a feeling that this song might stay in the Top 3 for a few more weeks longer because of how well it did at the top spot on there. Let's see how long it'll remain in there.

1. Olivia Rodrigo - Get Him Back!: Holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. I'm so pleased that it's still in there. She really is getting so popular on there. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Knox - Girl On The Internet

2. Renee Rapp/Megan Thee Stallion - Not My Fault (DEBUT)

3. Dominic Fike - Mama's Boy

4. AJR - Inertia (DEBUT)

5. People R Ugly - Brain Dead (DEBUT)

6. PinkPantheress/Central Cee - Nice To Meet You

7. Alec Benjamin - I Sent My Therapist To Therapy

8. Nicki Minaj/Lil Uzi Vert - Everybody (DEBUT)

9. LANY - XXL

10. Tate McRae - Run For The Hills

11. Boys Like Girls - Miracle

12. Dove Cameron - White Glove

13. Mitski - My Love Mine All Mine

14. Jung Kook - Standing Next To You

15. The Kid Laroi - Bleed

16. Patrick Martin - Dandelion Eyes

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Renee Rapp/Megan Thee Stallion - Not My Fault: So I've heard that earlier next year, she will star in the new Mean Girls movie, and now she has put out a new song from it that's making it's debut on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Too Well. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Renee's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, the chorus was so heavenly, and Megan's rapping in her verse was pretty heavenly. Here's to hoping that it should be on the countdown soon.

AJR - Inertia: They replaced themselves on there this week. Although I'm not really that thrilled to see Touchy Feely Fool leave, but this new song is actually another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Touchy Feely Fool. With my opinion on this one, the production was super amazing, Jack's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

People R Ugly - Brain Dead: What the heck is this?! And I've also heard that the song only has 85,000 streams on Spotify as well. So I decided to give this song a listen and... it's definitely stupid and absolutely total garbage. I really have no idea what's going on with this song, but it's just a super awful song for me. The production here sounded so awful, the vocals were super terrible, the lyrics were so stupid, and my gosh that chorus was absolutely garbage. This is definitely going to end up in my Bottom 10 Songs of the year next year when it makes the countdown. Hopefully it doesn't end up on the countdown. NEXT!

Nicki Minaj/Lil Uzi Vert - Everybody: She also replaces herself on there. Although I wasn't very happy at all to see Pink Friday Girls drop out of Hit Bound. But as far as this new song goes, it's also a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Pink Friday Girls, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Nicki's vocals were super phenomenal, I'm definitely a huge fan of the lyrics, the chorus was so heavenly, and Lil Uzi Vert's rapping in his verse actually sounds so phenomenal. Let's see if this should make the countdown soon.
