My Top 10 Songs Of 2023

As what I said, we have a lot of amazing songs this year. So now, I'm going to count down my top 10 songs of the year and explain why those songs were on there. We know it's going to be every song that made Hits 1. Some of them actually did poorly on the countdown this year, but some of them did amazing on there. We won't go through my honorable mentions like we always do, because there's actually a lot of amazing songs this year. So now, let's get to my top 10 songs of the year. But before we do that, here are my top 10 songs of last year:


10. Avril Lavigne/Blackbear - Love It When You Hate Me

9. Lauv - All 4 Nothing (I'm So In Love)

8. Alesso/Katy Perry - When I'm Gone

7. Ed Sheeran - Overpass Graffiti

6. Halsey - So Good

5. OneRepublic - I Ain't Worried

4. Zedd/Maren Morris/Beauz - Make You Say

3. Tiesto/Ava Max - The Motto

Now, here are my Top 10 Songs Of 2023:


10. The 1975 - I'm In Love With You - This is absolutely one of the best songs that I've ever heard from them. And of course I've been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation this year. This has got to be one of the best songs that I've heard on Alt Nation throughout the year. It's definitely a heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so heavenly, Matt Healy's vocals were super heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly. But yeah, this really deserves to be in there. Such a heavenly song overall.


9. David Guetta/Anne-Marie/Coi Leray - Baby Don't Hurt Me - This was actually the second time those two collaborated because the last time they collaborated was back in 2018 with Don't Leave Me Alone, and that was a song that I really enjoyed back then. But this new song has got to be the best one that I've ever heard from those two. And this was actually the second time that David sampled an old song, this time he sampled What Is Love from Haddaway, which was super amazing. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly EDM song and it's definitely a step up from Don't Leave Me Alone. With my opinion on this song, the production was so heavenly, Anne-Marie's vocals were super heavenly, I'm definitely a humongous fan of the lyrics, the chorus was extremely heavenly, and Coi Leray's vocals in her verse were super heavenly. So yeah, overall it's such a heavenly and fun EDM song and it really deserves to be in there.


8. Latto/Lu Kala - Lottery - This is actually her first ever appearance on this list. And of course this has got to be the best song that I've ever heard from her. It's definitely a huge step up from all of her other songs. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another heavenly song. With my opinion on it, the production was so heavenly, Latto's rapping in the verses was super heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and Lu Kala's vocals in the chorus were extremely heavenly. But yeah, this really deserves to be on this list. It's such another heavenly song overall for me to listen to.


7. The Weeknd/Playboi Carti/Madonna - Popular - This is absolutely another heavenly song and it's actually a step up from Double Fantasy. I know I say that it's heavenly because I know he collaborated with a singer who's popular in the 80's which was actually the best thing. With my opinion on this one, the production was so heavenly, Abel's vocals were super heavenly, Madonna's vocals in the second verse were extremely heavenly and she actually sounds the best here, I'm definitely a humongous fan of the lyrics, the chorus was extremely heavenly, and Playboi Carti's rapping in his verse was actually super heavenly and he actually sounds way better on here than in his other songs. But yeah, overall it's such a heavenly song and it totally deserves to be on this list.


6. Jessie Murph/Jelly Roll - Wild Ones - She has finally made her first appearance on this list which was actually super amazing because this song has got to be the best song that I've ever heard from her. It's definitely a huge step up from Heartbroken and all of her other songs and this is even better than Flo Rida and Sia's hit song from 2012 of the same title. It's absolutely a pretty heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was pretty heavenly, Jessie's vocals were pretty heavenly, Jelly Roll's vocals were also pretty heavenly in his contribution, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of and they're actually pretty heavenly, and the chorus was pretty heavenly. Everything on this song was pretty heavenly. But yeah, overall it's such a pretty heavenly song and it deserves to be in there.


5. David Kushner - Daylight - I've also been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. And I've also been hearing his other song Dead Man on there too, which Hits 1 should've picked up. And this was also his first ever appearance on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song. With my opinion on this one, the production was super heavenly, David's vocals were super heavenly, the lyrics were super heavenly and they're definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. So yeah, this is heavenly overall and it totally deserves to be in there.


4. Kylie Minogue - Padam Padam - After 16 years off of making new music, we now have this song that has made this list. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a super heavenly song. With my opinion on it, the production was super heavenly and it sounds a bit like a Tiesto song, Kylie's vocals were extremely heavenly, the lyrics were super heavenly and what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. But yeah, this is absolutely a super heavenly and fun song overall for me to listen to and this totally deserves to be this high on this list.


3. Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red - This is absolutely the best song that I've ever heard from her. It's definitely a huge step up from Attention and all of her other songs. And of course this song is currently doing super phenomenal on the AT40 recently because of how many weeks it spent at the top spot on there which was super duper amazing. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a super heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was super heavenly and super fun, Doja's vocals were super heavenly, the lyrics were extremely heavenly, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. But yeah, overall this is such a super heavenly song and it really deserves to be on there.


2. Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer - Of course I've actually gone through this song before back in 2020 that it was a phenomenal song. And then 3 years later, the song has grown on me more and more and more before it came back to the countdown. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an extremely heavenly song and this is definitely my favorite song from her. With my opinion on this song, the production was super heavenly, Taylor's vocals were extremely heavenly, the lyrics were extremely heavenly, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. So yeah, overall it's such an extremely heavenly song and this totally deserves to be on there.


1. Fall Out Boy - We Didn't Start The Fire - This is it. This is my #1 song of 2023. And this was actually their cover of Billy Joel's hit song from 1989, except they changed some of the lyrics. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an extremely heavenly song and this is absolutely the best song that I've ever heard from them. It's definitely a humongous step up from Hold Me Like A Grudge and all of their other songs. With my opinion on this song, the production was extremely heavenly, Patrick's vocals were extremely heavenly, the lyrics were extremely heavenly, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. But yeah, overall it's such an extremely heavenly song and it totally deserves to be my top song of this year.
