Tate McRae (11) Week Of January 27, 2024
As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so amazing. We did get rid of yet another crappy song on there which was the best thing to see. And there's also some more interesting stuff happening on there, but I'm gonna get to them later on in this post like what I always do. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Meghan Trainor - Made You Look (1 of 2 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm so pleased that Taylor Swift - Now That We Don't Talk and AJR - Yes, I'm A Mess (+7) are gaining lots of airplay this week. What a week it has been for all of them!
Noah Kahan - Stick Season (-11) took the biggest drop this week after taking the biggest jump last week, which I wasn't really that thrilled to see. But I'm sure this is going to be the end of it.
New Song/s on the countdown this week are:
Umi/V - Wherever U R: This was actually another interesting collaboration because we have a new R&B singer collaborating with another BTS member, and now they've made their first ever appearance on there this week. But I gotta say, this is just a decent song. There really isn't anything interesting to say about it. Though the production actually doesn't sound good here, but Umi's vocals were still outstanding and V's vocals were still amazing in his contribution and the chorus was decent. And the lyrics were still interesting, so I'll still give credit to that. But this is decent overall. Let's see how this one does on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now: Why would we let this song move down again? Come on, we know who she is and she has a lot of #1 songs on there so this needs to move back up and get back to the Top 3 very soon.
4. Olivia Rodrigo - Get Him Back!: Well it's a good thing to see this song move back up, but again I don't think this song is ever going to come back to the Top 3. But I'm sure it'll stay in the Top 5 for a couple more weeks or so.
3. Teddy Swims - Lose Control: Yeah I don't think this song is ever going to hit the top spot on there. But I'm sure it's going to leave the Top 3 very soon.
2. Dua Lipa - Houdini: I'm pleased to see this song move back up to that spot, but again I don't think this song is ever going to hit the top spot because of what's going on in there.
1. Tate McRae - Greedy: Holding the top spot for the 4th week in a row. 3 more weeks to go for this song to tie the record! It really has been doing super phenomenal on there recently. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:
1. Kygo/Ava Max - Whatever
2. Alec Benjamin - Pick Me (DEBUT)
3. Ice Spice - Think You The S*** (DEBUT)
4. Crash Adams - Good Side
5. Fletcher - Lead Me On (DEBUT)
6. Jagwar Twin - Bad Feeling (Oompa Loompa)
7. Lil Nas X - Where Do We Go Now (DEBUT)
8. Flyana Boss - Candyman (DEBUT)
9. Boys Like Girls - Miracle
10. Justin Timberlake - Selfish (DEBUT)
11. Paul Russell - Say Cheese (DEBUT)
12. Willow Avalon - Honey Ain't No Sweeter
13. Knox - Here's To Us
14. Teddy Swims - The Door (DEBUT)
15. The Kid Laroi - Heaven (DEBUT)
16. Fall Out Boy - So Much (For) Stardust (DEBUT)
New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Alec Benjamin - Pick Me: He replaces himself on there this week. And I'm actually pleased to see I Sent My Therapist To Therapy get out of here because that was a garbage song. But as for this new song, it's also mediocre. But this is definitely better than I Sent My Therapist To Therapy, but it's still not that good. Though the production here sounded solid, but again Alec's vocals still sound childish and not good at all and the chorus was okay but not the best. But the lyrics were still nicely-written, so I'm definitely still giving credit to them. But this is mediocre overall. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Ice Spice - Think You The S***: This was actually her first solo appearance on there which was so interesting. I was actually waiting for a solo single from her to be on there, and now here it is. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Pretty Girl. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Ice Spice's vocals were super phenomenal especially in her flow, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Fletcher - Lead Me On: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. And we actually haven't heard anything from her since a couple years ago when she had Becky's So Hot on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a little bit of a step up from Becky's So Hot. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, her vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Lil Nas X - Where Do We Go Now: So we've now picked up a new single from him after J Christ made the countdown last week. But I gotta say, this is also a decent song. Though it's actually a step up from J Christ, but it's still decent. Though the production still sounds so amazing here, but once again Lil Nas X's vocals don't sound good here and the chorus was decent. But the lyrics were still super nicely-written, so I'll definitely still give credit to them. But this is another decent song overall. I prefer Gracie Abrams's song of the same title over this. And I'm sure this is going to be on the countdown when J Christ leaves. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Flyana Boss - Candyman: In case you remember, they had a Hit Bound dropout back in August last year called You Wish, and that was a song that I enjoyed back then. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's definitely a step up from You Wish. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, both Bobbi and Folayan sound so phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Hopefully this should be on the countdown soon.
Justin Timberlake - Selfish: After doing two re-teamings last year, he's got a new solo album coming out soon and here's one of the songs from that upcoming album on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Better Place, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Justin's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly and fun. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
Paul Russell - Say Cheese: We've now picked up a new song from him after Lil Boo Thang hit the Top 3 on there a few weeks ago. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Lil Boo Thang. With my opinion on this one, the production was super amazing, Paul's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Teddy Swims - The Door: Since Lose Control hit the Top 3 on there, we now have this song making it's debut on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Lose Control. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Teddy's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.
The Kid Laroi - Heaven: After Bleed dropped out of here a couple weeks ago, we've now picked up a new single from him on there this week. But I gotta say, this is also a decent song. Though it's actually a little bit of a step up from Bleed, but it's still decent. With my opinion, the production still sounds amazing here, but again I'm not really huge on Laroi's vocals. He doesn't actually sound that good here and the chorus was just decent. But the lyrics were still super nicely-written, so I'm definitely still giving credit to them. But this is another decent song overall for me. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Fall Out Boy - So Much (For) Stardust: This was actually the title track off of their album which I think was super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as We Didn't Start The Fire, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Patrick's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Here's to hoping that it should be on the countdown soon.
