AT40: Teddy Swims (3) Week Of May 4, 2024
So the month of May is now officially here. And now I only have one more month left of my third year of college. I'm so looking forward to summer. Hopefully I'll do lots of fun stuff! Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks super amazing. We do have one debut this week that was going to be in my top songs of the year, which was always an amazing thing to see. Miley Cyrus - Flowers (8 of 9 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm so glad to see Djo - End Of Beginning (+7) take the biggest jump for gaining some airplay on the pop radio charts throughout the week. What a week it has been for him! Now, let's see if it'll go to the Top 20 very soon.
Dua Lipa - Training Season (-12) took the biggest drop since we now have a new single from her debuting on there this week. Although I'm not too thrilled to see it do that, but I'm sure it's going to be the end of it.
New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:
Dua Lipa - Illusion: Since Training Season and Houdini are on their way out of here, we now have this song making it's debut on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Training Season. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Dua's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so marvelous and nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should do well on there.
Hozier - Too Sweet: The best debut this week. And it's actually been quite a long time since we last heard from him on there. And now he's finally back. And of course I've been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song and this was actually the best song that I've ever heard from him. It's definitely a huge step up from Take Me To Church and all of his other songs. With my opinion on this song, the production was so heavenly, Hozier's vocals were super heavenly, I'm definitely a humongous fan of the lyrics, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. This is definitely going to end up in my Top 10 Songs of the year. Hopefully it'll become a hit on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Doja Cat - Agora Hills: Gosh, this song sure has been loving the Top 5 on there. But I'm sure it's definitely going to be out of here within the next week or so.
4. Sabrina Carpenter - Feather: It dropped out of the Top 3 which I kinda expected. Although it did had a nice time in there spending a couple weeks at the top spot. But I'm sure it's going to be out of the Top 5 very soon.
3. Jack Harlow - Lovin On Me: Wow, it really must've enjoyed the Top 3 on there. But I know it's been in there for a while so I'm sure it's going to be out of here very soon.
2. Benson Boone - Beautiful Things: I'm pleased to see this song in the Top 3. And it's almost at the top spot so let's see if it'll be in there soon.
1. Teddy Swims - Lose Control: Holding the top spot for the 3rd week in a row. Gosh, this song sure has been getting popular on there recently. But I'm sure another song might take over the spot very soon, but let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
