Benson Boone (1) Week Of April 27, 2024
As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks super interesting. We do have yet another brand new #1 song on there, which was always a nice thing to see. However, the streak with all great songs on there was over because we have one decent debut this week. But I'm gonna get to it later on in this post like always. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Tiesto/Tate McRae - 10:35 (6th and final week at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm super pleased about Hozier - Too Sweet (+10) taking the biggest jump to the Top 10. This really deserves to be in there! Now, let's see if it'll go to the Top 5 soon.
I'm not too thrilled to see Shinedown - A Symptom Of Being Human (-12) take the biggest drop. This should've went to the Top 10! But I'm sure this is going to be out of here very soon.
New Song/s on the countdown this week are:
Taylor Swift/Post Malone - Fortnight: So she has released her new album The Tortured Poets Department recently, and now we have one of the songs from the album making it's debut on there this week. But I gotta say, this is just a decent song. I know it's because she collaborated with an artist that I hate. Though the production was still amazing and Taylor still sounds phenomenal here, but of course Post's vocals were so awful in his contribution. But the chorus still sounds amazing and the lyrics were still so interesting. But this is decent overall. It would've been a phenomenal song if Post wasn't featured in this song, but oh well. But in the meantime, let's see how this one does on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Olivia Rodrigo - Obsessed: I'm so pleased to see this song in the Top 5. It really deserves to be in there! Now, let's see if it'll go to the Top 3 and get to the top spot soon.
4. Ariana Grande - We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love): I'm pleased to see this song move up. Now, this needs to keep it up and go to the Top 3 very soon.
3. Knox - Not The 1975: I actually didn't expect this song to be back in the Top 3. But I'm actually pleased to see it back in there. But I'm sure it's going to be out of here again very soon.
2. Dua Lipa - Training Season: It's almost at the top spot! It really deserves to move up to this spot. Now, can we please let this song go to the top spot very soon?
1. Benson Boone - Beautiful Things: I'm so pleased to see this song at the top spot. And now this has become his first ever #1 song on there, so I'd like to congratulate him for that. Now, let's see how long it'll hold the spot.
Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:
1. Michel Marcagi - Scared To Start
2. Lay Bankz - Tell Ur Girlfriend (DEBUT)
3. People R Ugly - DUMB
4. Lauv - Potential (DEBUT)

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Lay Bankz - Tell Ur Girlfriend: I feel like this song is somewhat having a viral moment or something lately, and now we have her first ever song on there debuting this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Lay Bankz's vocals were super marvelous, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Lauv - Potential: After Love U Like That dropped out of Hit Bound last year, we've now picked up a new single from him this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Love U Like That. With my opinion, the production was so incredible, Lauv's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.
Jessie Murph - Cold: Gosh, Hits 1 sure has been picking up on all her songs recently. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's definitely a step up from Son Of A. But definitely not as good as Maroon 5's song from 2017 of the same title, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Jessie's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were pretty interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should make the countdown soon.
Twenty One Pilots - Backslide: So I've noticed that they will drop Clancy in a few weeks, and now we have a new single from the upcoming album debuting on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Overcompensate, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Tyler's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were very nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
Doja Cat - OKLOSER: She replaces herself on there this week. Although I wasn't too thrilled to see MASC failing to be on the countdown, but this new song is actually a step up from MASC. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Doja's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it will make the countdown soon.
Teddy Swims - Apple Juice: So he has released the deluxe edition of his album I've Tried Everything But Therapy, and now we have one of the songs from it on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. But definitely not as good as The Door, but it's still amazing. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Teddy's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were very nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Kygo/Zak Abel/Nile Rodgers - For Life: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. And what I've noticed about this song is that it actually samples Modjo's 2001 song Lady (Hear Me Tonight) which was so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Whatever, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Zak's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.
