Post Malone (3) Week Of September 7, 2024

So I have officially started my final year in college on Tuesday and so far I'm doing well on the first week. Hopefully I'll keep it up and work very hard throughout the school year! Also, football is back. I'm so looking forward to seeing what teams will play each other in the Super Bowl this year. Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it still looks amazing, however we did get rid of a song that was going to be in my top songs of the year and of course it will forever be missed. But we still have quite some more amazing stuff happening on there. But I'm gonna get to them later on in this post like always. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer (4 of 6 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

Kesha - Joyride, Shawn Mendes - Why Why Why and Marshmello/Kane Brown - Miles On It (+4) all took a short biggest jump this week. I'm so pleased to see them all do that. They deserve it!

I'm not too thrilled to see Megan Thee Stallion/Yuki Chiba - Mamushi (-5) take the biggest drop to the bottom spot. This does not deserve to take it! But hopefully it'll move back up soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Paul Russell/Meghan Trainor - Slippin': After dropping out of Hit Bound and spending a month in the abyss, this song has now finally made it's debut on there. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely a phenomenal and fun song and it's actually a step up from Say Cheese. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Paul's vocals were super marvelous, Meghan's vocals were so heavenly in her contribution, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this one does on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Teddy Swims - The Door: I'm so pleased to see this song back in the Top 5. Now, can we please let this song go back to the Top 3 and get to the top spot soon?

4. Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe!: Yeah I'm sure this song is going to be out of the Top 5 very soon. Maybe one more week in there and then it'll be on it's way out of here.

3. Shaboozey - A Bar Song (Tipsy): I'm sure this might spend at least a couple more weeks in the Top 3 at the very least. But let's see how long it'll remain in there.

2. Sabrina Carpenter - Please Please Please: Yeah I'm sure this song is going to stay in the Top 3 for at least a few more weeks and then it'll be out of here. But let's see what happens next.

1. Post Malone/Morgan Wallen - I Had Some Help: Holding the top spot for the 3rd week in a row. I'm still fine with this song still being at this spot. Nothing can stop this song from becoming popular for both pop and country. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Henry Moodie - Right Person, Wrong Time

2. Halsey - Ego (DEBUT)

3. Jimin - Who

4. Jessie Murph/Bailey Zimmerman - Someone In This Room (DEBUT)

5. KATSEYE - Touch

6. Andy Grammer/Maddie & Tae - I Do

7. Addison Rae - Diet Pepsi

8. Katy Perry - Lifetimes

9. Dasha - Didn't I

10. The Chainsmokers/Kim Petras - Don't Lie (DEBUT)

11. Alex Warren - Troubled Waters (DEBUT)

12. Tinashe - Nasty

13. Myles Smith - Wait For You

14. Camila Cabello - Godspeed (DEBUT)

15. Beabadoobee - Beaches

16. Koe Wetzel/Jessie Murph - High Road

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Halsey - Ego: She replaces herself on there. Although I wasn't very happy to see Lonely Is The Muse drop out of here. But as far as this new song goes, it's actually a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Lonely Is The Muse. With my opinion on this one, the punk rock production was so phenomenal, Halsey's vocals were super unstoppable, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Here's to hoping that it should make the countdown soon.

Jessie Murph/Bailey Zimmerman - Someone In This Room: She also replaces herself on there this week. I'm also not happy to see Dirty dropping out of here which was unfortunate. But as far as this new song goes, it's actually another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Dirty. With my opinion on this song, the production was so incredible, both Jessie and Bailey sound super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

The Chainsmokers/Kim Petras - Don't Lie: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal and fun song. But unfortunately we do not have vocals from Andrew this time. He worked on the production along with Alex. I thought they did an amazing job on the production and it actually sounds so phenomenal here. And other than that, Kim's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly and super fun. Hopefully it'll make the countdown soon.

Alex Warren - Troubled Waters: This is absolutely another amazing song and it's actually a step up from Carry You Home. With my opinion on this one, the production was so amazing, Alex's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. And I'm sure this might debut the countdown replacing Carry You Home on there, but we never know yet. Hopefully this should be on the countdown soon.

Camila Cabello - Godspeed: So she has put out a deluxe version of CXOXO, and we now have one of the songs making it's debut on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Hot Uptown, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Camila's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should make the countdown soon.
