#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Tate McRae - Greedy (5 of 11 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm super pleased to see David Guetta/Alphaville/Ava Max - Forever Young (+15) take a huge biggest jump this week. This totally deserves to take it! Now, hopefully it should go to the Top 10 pretty soon.

I'm not too thrilled to see Tate McRae - It's Ok I'm Ok (-5) take the biggest drop. Why would it do that? But hopefully it should move back up within the next week or so.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Akon - Akon's Beautiful Day: He has finally made his grand return on there after 14 years since his feature on David Guetta's Sexy Chick back in late 2009/early 2010. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. With my opinion, the production was so remarkable, Akon's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see how far this goes on there.

Morgan Wallen - Love Somebody: I'm glad to see this song come back in there. I've actually expected it to happen which was a good thing. Now, let's see how this one does on it's second run on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Myles Smith - Stargazing: I'm sure this is going to be it's last week in there. But again it still had a nice run in there. But yeah I'm sure it's going to be out of here next week.

4. Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile: I'm still waiting for this song to come back to the Top 3. But I'm sure it might happen within the next week or so.

3. Chappell Roan - Hot To Go!: Yeah I'll keep this song in the Top 3 for at least a couple more weeks. It still has been doing so well on pop radio recently. Let's see how long it'll remain in there.

2. Billie Eilish - Birds Of A Feather: It dropped out of the top spot. But it still had an amazing run in there even though this was a decent song for me. Though I'm sure this is going to end up in the Top 3 for a few more weeks. But let's see what happens next.

1. Sabrina Carpenter - Taste: I'm so pleased to see it back at the top spot. I kinda expected it to happen and now I was right. Now, let's see how long in it's second time in there.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Halsey - Panic Attack

2. Lil Nas X - Light Again! (DEBUT)

3. Almost Monday - Can't Slow Down

4. Tate McRae - 2 Hands (DEBUT)

5. The Kid Laroi/Quavo - Slow It Down (DEBUT)

6. Henry Moodie - Good Old Days

7. Meg Donnelly - In My Bag (DEBUT)

8. Nessa Barrett/Artemas - Mustang Baby (DEBUT)

9. Balu Brigada - So Cold

10. Shaboozey - Good News (DEBUT)

11. Griff - Last Night's Mascara

13. Dasha - Heartbreaker From Tennessee (DEBUT)

14. The Marias - No One Noticed (DEBUT)

15. Jessie Murph - Sip

16. Jonah Marais/Ryan Lewis - Slow Motion (DEBUT)

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Lil Nas X - Light Again!: This is just another decent song. There's just nothing interesting to say about this song. Although I could say that this is actually a step up from J Christ, but it's still decent. With my opinion on it, the production still sounds so amazing, but again Nas X's vocals still don't sound good. But the lyrics were still so interesting and I could say that the chorus is decent. So yeah, this is another decent song overall. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Tate McRae - 2 Hands: So I've heard that she announced that she will be dropping a new album in early 2025, and now we have one of the songs from it debuting on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as It's Ok I'm Ok, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Tate's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

The Kid Laroi/Quavo - Slow It Down: What I've noticed about this song is that it actually samples Destiny's Child's 2001 hit song Independent Woman Pt. 1, which I've reviewed back in my 2000's Billboard Decade-End Chart Review in case you remember when my blog hit 200,000 pageviews. To me, I think that it so interesting. But I gotta say, this is another decent song. Though this is actually a step up from Girls, but it's still decent. With my opinion on this song, the production and samples still sound so phenomenal, but again Laroi's vocals still don't sound good here and Quavo's vocals don't sound good in his verse either. But the lyrics were still so interesting and the chorus was just decent. But yeah, this is decent overall. I prefer Benson Boone's song of the same title over this. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Meg Donnelly - In My Bag: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. I've actually known her before this song because she has appeared on the Disney Channel movie ZOMBIES playing her own character Addison back then. And now, here she is making her first ever appearance on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was super phenomenal, Meg's vocals were so heavenly, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was super heavenly. Here's to hoping that it should make the countdown soon.

Nessa Barrett/Artemas - Mustang Baby: It's actually been a while since she last appeared on there. And now she's finally back. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Nessa's vocals were super phenomenal, Artemas's vocals were so phenomenal in his contribution, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Shaboozey - Good News: As A Bar Song (Tipsy) is getting pretty close to breaking the record for most weeks at #1 on the Hot 100 previously set by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus's Old Town Road back in 2019, he now has a new song on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as A Bar Song (Tipsy), but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal and the beat is very similar to A Bar Song (Tipsy) which was so interesting, Shaboozey's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.

Dasha - Heartbreaker From Tennessee: She replaces herself on there this week. And of course I've also been hearing this song a lot on The Highway. Although I wasn't very happy to see Bye Bye Bye drop out of here, but this new song is actually a step up from it. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Dasha's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were so marvelous, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

The Marias - No One Noticed: So I've heard that they actually had an alt hit called Hush back in 2021 which Hits 1 should've picked up. But now they have their first ever appearance on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Hush, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Maria Zardoya's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Jonah Marais/Ryan Lewis - Slow Motion: We now have the first member of Why Don't We making solo music which was so cool. And of course it's also produced by Macklemore's former collaborator which was so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. With my opinion on this one, Ryan's production was so amazing, Jonah's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
