Rose (6) Week Of February 15, 2025

As far as the Super Bowl goes, I thought that it was actually super phenomenal. The Eagles won that one 40-22. It is their second Super Bowl title in team history and the first since 2018. I'm super pleased to see the Eagles win it. And I'm also super pleased to see Jalen Hurts get his first Super Bowl title. He was also the Super Bowl MVP this year which was actually super amazing. He totally deserves his first ever Super Bowl title! And I also thought that Kendrick Lamar did a phenomenal job at the halftime show. He even brought SZA along in some of his songs which was absolutely phenomenal. They absolutely nailed their performances! So yeah, this is such a phenomenal game overall. Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it still looks amazing, although we did get rid of a sing that was in my top songs of last year again, and of course that will forever be missed as always. But we do have some more amazing debuts this week, but I'm gonna get to them later on in this post like always. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Dua Lipa - Houdini (3 of 8 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so pleased to see Gigi Perez - Sailor Song (+8) take the biggest jump to the Top 10. This really deserves to be in there! What an amazing week it has been for her! Now, hopefully this should be in the Top 5 very soon.

Marshmello/Jonas Brothers - Slow Motion, Megan Moroney - Am I Okay? and Alex Warren/Joe Jonas - Burning Down (-3) all took a short biggest drop this week which actually isn't that bad, although I'm still not that thrilled to see that. But I'm sure they might all move back up very soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Doechii - Denial Is A River: So I've heard that she recently won a Grammy for Best Rap Album recently and now she has made her return on there since her feature on Katy Perry's I'm His, He's Mine. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from What It Is (Block Boy). With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Doechii's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this one does on there.

Tyla - Push 2 Start: She is finally back on the countdown since Water last year. Also, I've noticed that there's also a Sean Paul remix of this song which I haven't listened to yet, but I'm gonna have to someday. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal and fun song and it's actually a step up from Jump. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal and I really love the Latin type beat they have in it, Tyla's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly and fun. Let's see how far this gets on there.

LISA/Doja Cat/Raye - Born Again: So I've heard that her debut solo album is coming out soon, and now we have one of the songs from the upcoming album debuting on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Moonlit Floor, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Lisa, Doja and Raye all sound super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this one goes on there.

Teddy Swims - Guilty: I'm so glad to see this song come back on there. This really deserves to re-enter there this week. Now, let's see how this one does on it's second run in there.

Rose - Toxic Till The End: The best countdown debut this week. Since APT. hit #1 on there and after spending a month in the abyss, this song now finally debuts on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from APT, Number One Girl and Drinks Or Coffee. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Rose's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were pretty amazing, and the chorus was super heavenly. Let's see how far this goes on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Shaboozey - Good News: I'm so pleased to see this song in the Top 5. This really deserves to be in there! And I'm sure this is going to be in the Top 3 and into the top spot soon since the song is similar to A Bar Song (Tipsy). Hopefully I'm right.

4. Sabrina Carpenter - Bed Chem: I'm still waiting for this song to get to the Top 3, but I'm sure that it's definitely going to be in there next week. Hopefully it'll happen.

3. Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile: Gosh, this song sure doesn't want to leave the Top 3. But I do know it has been in there for a while so I'm sure this is going to be out of here next week.

2. Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club: I'm still waiting for this song to get to the top spot. But I'm not sure if it's actually going to happen because of what's going on in the top spot. But hopefully it'll do it within the next week or so.

1. Rose/Bruno Mars - APT.: Holding the top spot for the 6th week in a row. Gosh, this song really has been doing super amazing on pop radio recently. But I'm sure another song might take over the top spot next week, but let's see if it'll stay in there or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Alessi Rose - IKYK

2. Selena Gomez/Benny Blanco - Scared Of Loving You (DEBUT)

3. Shinedown - Three Six Five

4. Anne-Marie - Don't Panic (DEBUT)

5. Sabrina Carpenter - Busy Woman (DEBUT)

14. Addison Rae - High Fashion (DEBUT)

15. Kane Brown/Katelyn Brown - Body Talk

16. Justice/Tame Impala - Neverender

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Selena Gomez/Benny Blanco - Scared Of Loving You: So I've heard that those two recently got engaged, and now they're making a collab album very soon. We've now picked up the lead single from the upcoming album this week and... it's garbage. This is absolutely another horrible love ballad. Benny Blanco's production sounded so horrible, although Selena's vocals were okay here, but it's still not enough to save the song. And I'm, also not really huge on the lyrics, and the chorus was absolutely garbage. So yeah, this is such a garbage song overall. Hopefully this doesn't debut the countdown.

Anne-Marie - Don't Panic: We haven't heard anything from her on there since Baby Don't Hurt Me with David Guetta and Coi Leray 2 years ago, and of course that song was in my Top 10 Songs of the year back then. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Baby Don't Hurt Me, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Anne-Marie's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Sabrina Carpenter - Busy Woman: We now have a deluxe version of Short N Sweet which contains a remix of Please Please Please with Dolly Parton and this new song that we've picked up this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Bed Chem. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Sabrina's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so remarkable, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

FlowerOvLove - I've Seen Ur Ex: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. Of course we all remember when she brought us Boys last year which dropped out of Hit Bound, and that was a song that I enjoyed back then. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Boys. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, FlowerOvLove's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was super heavenly. Hopefully this should be on the countdown soon.

JISOO - Your Love: We now have all 4 Blackpink members having solo music on there which was actually so amazing. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Jisoo's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. If this song and Love Hangover debut the countdown next week and when Moonlit Floor and Toxic Till The End both stay on the countdown next week, every Blackpink member will have a song on the countdown which I'm actually hoping for. Let's see if this should make the countdown soon.

SZA - Take You Down: We've now picked up a new single from her since BMF hit the Top 10 on the countdown this week. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as BMF, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, SZA's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. And I'm sure this is going to debut the countdown whenever BMF hits the Top 5 or so. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Alessia Cara - Nighttime Thing: She has now made her return on there after Dead Man dropped out of Hit Bound last year. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Dead Man. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Alessia's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Here's to hoping that this should be on the countdown soon.

Sam Smith - Love Is A Stillness: He's now back on there since Vulgar with Madonna which dropped out of Hit Bound 2 years ago. But I gotta say, this is just a decent song. There really isn't that much interesting to say about this one. It's literally a carbon copy of Scared Of Loving You. The production doesn't sound good here, but Sam's vocals still sound super outstanding and the chorus was decent. And the lyrics were still so interesting, so I'll still give credit to that. But this is decent overall. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Addison Rae - High Fashion: Since Diet Pepsi continues to do well on pop radio, we now have a new song from her debuting on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Diet Pepsi, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was so incredible, Addison's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should make the countdown soon.
