Benson Boone (3) Week Of June 7, 2025

So June is now officially here and now I'm officially done with college! I thought I did pretty well overall in my college classes throughout my career. Gosh, I was so ready to be done with school forever because I don't really like waking up early, but thank goodness it's finally over! And now I'm free to do whatever I want since I don't have school anymore and hopefully I can find myself a job soon. Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so interesting. We do have another interesting Top 5 and we also have some more interesting stuff happening on there this week, including our biggest jump. But like always, I'm gonna get to them later on in this post. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! #1. Benson Boone - Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else (#1) [3rd Week At #1]

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Hozier - Too Sweet (5 of 6 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

Rose - Messy (+9) sure has been gaining lots of airplay on there throughout the week. I'm so pleased to see this song take the biggest jump. What a week for her! Now, hopefully it'll go to the Top 10 soon.

I'm actually fine with Teddy Swims - Bad Dreams (-5) taking the biggest drop. I know this song has been in there for quite a long time, so I guess I'll still give credit to that. And I'm sure this song is going to be out of here very soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Machine Gun Kelly - Cliche: This is the only debut we have this week. And this is also his first song on the countdown after changing his name to MGK. Although I refuse to call him that because I've actually gotten so used to calling him Machine Gun Kelly. Plus, he's also back on the countdown since Lonely Road last year which was interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's definitely a step up from Lonely Road. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, MGK's vocals were super excellent, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this goes on there.

Dasha - Not At This Party: I actually didn't expect this song to come back on the countdown since it hasn't been doing that well on pop radio recently. But I guess I'll take it. Though I'm sure this is not going to do as well as it did on its first run in there, but let's see how far this goes on its second run.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Miley Cyrus - End Of The World: I'm pleased to see this song in the Top 5. This really deserves to be in there! Though I'm not sure if it'll be in the Top 3, but I somehow want this song to at least stay in the Top 5 for at least a couple more weeks or so. Let's see what happens next.

4. Alex Warren - Ordinary: Yeah I expected this song to be out of the Top 3. I don't think it's ever going to hit the top spot. But I'm sure this is going to be out of the Top 5 sometime soon.

3. Sabrina Carpenter - Busy Woman: I'm glad to see this song back in the Top 3. This really needed to do that because we all know who she is. And I'm really hoping that it should get to the top spot very soon. Hopefully it'll be in there.

2. Lady Gaga - Abracadabra: Gosh, this song really has been enjoying the Top 3 on there. I know it's because of how well it did at the top spot. But I have a feeling that this song is probably going to stick around in the Top 3 for at least a few more weeks longer. Let's see how long it'll remain in there.

1. Benson Boone - Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else: Holding the top spot for the 3rd week in a row. Gosh, this song sure has been doing well on there recently. I'm glad that it's still at the top spot once again. Although I'm sure another song might take over the top spot next week, but let's see if it'll stay in there or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Haven Madison - Castle (DEBUT)

2. Ed Sheeran/Arijit Singh - Sapphire (DEBUT)

3. Jon Bellion/Luke Combs - WHY

4. Sabrina Carpenter - Manchild (DEBUT)

11. Jessie Murph - Touch Me Like A Gangster (DEBUT)

12. Tyla - Bliss

13. Avril Lavigne/Simple Plan - Young & Dumb

14. Joe Jonas - Heart By Heart

15. SUPER-Hi/NEEKA - Following The Sun (DEBUT)

16. Alexander Stewart - Here Again (DEBUT)

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Haven Madison - Castle: I've actually heard a couple of her songs which are Monster and Obsessed last year and those were pretty good songs so I was hoping that she should make her Hits 1 debut, and now here she is making her first ever appearance on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Haven's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly and I really fell in love with it. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Ed Sheeran/Arijit Singh - Sapphire: This was such an interesting collaboration because we have an Indian singer being featured in this song, although Arijit barely has any vocals and he isn't credited on Spotify so I'm not sure why Hits 1 credits him. But as far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song and it's actually a step up from Old Phone. With my opinion on this one, the Indian production was so amazing, Ed's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so remarkable, and the chorus was so phenomenal and fun. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Sabrina Carpenter - Manchild: Since Busy Woman hit the Top 3 on the countdown, we've now picked up a new single from her this week. As far as this new sing goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Busy Woman. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Sabrina's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. And I'm sure this song is going to debut the countdown next week or when Busy Woman hits the top spot. Let's see if it'll be in there very soon.

Addison Rae - Money Is Everything: She has finally released her first album, and now we have one of the songs from the album debuting on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Diet Pepsi, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Addison's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so marvelous, and the chorus was so heavenly. Here's to hoping that it should be on the countdown soon.

Crash Adams - New Heart: They are now back on here after Optimist dropped out of Hit Bound 4 months ago. Although I wish they would've picked up this song last week after its release because I know that's what Hits 1 does a lot, but that's okay. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Optimist. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, the vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so clever, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Jessie Murph - Touch Me Like A Gangster: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. Also, Blue Strips have just started its run on both the countdown and on pop radio. I know it's too early for Hits 1 to pick up this song, but they just had to do it because of course they had to pick up on every song from her. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Blue Strips. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Jessie's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were pretty miraculous, and the chorus was super heavenly. Here's to hoping that it should make the countdown soon.

SUPER-Hi/NEEKA - Following The Sun: This song was also released in 2020, but it doesn't seem to be trending anywhere so I don't know why Hits 1 decided to pick up on this song. But as far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal and fun song. Also in case you don't know, NEEKA actually consists Katy Tiz, who had that song on Hits 1 called Whistle (While You Work It) back in 2015, and it also consists Negin Djafari who I've actually never heard of. But with my opinion on the song, SUPER-Hi's production was so phenomenal, both Katy and Negin sound super phenomenal, I'm definitely a huge fan of the lyrics, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Alexander Stewart - Here Again: I've also heard his other song called Put You First last year after Daniel put it on his Hits Of The Future post, and I thought that it was a pretty good song. And now, he has made his first ever appearance on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Alexander's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were very remarkable, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
