#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
The Chainsmokers/Daya - Don't Let Me Down
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
Maroon 5/SZA - What Lovers Do (+9) is doing great at radio charts. What a great week for them!
The Chainsmokers - Honest (-13) is not doing well on this countdown. Somebody please let this song jump and not let it stay in the bottom 5.
New Song/s on the countdown this week are:
Zedd/Liam Payne - Get Low: This song is catchy. Liam's vocals shine throughout the entire song. Let's see how this new song does for them.
Kelly Clarkson - Love So Soft: She has 2 years off, and now she's back this year. Kelly's voice sounds a little bit like Adele. Her vocals in this one are awesome. Let's see if there's some success from her new song.
The Revivalists - Wish I Knew You: I heard that song a lot on Alt Nation. It is so catchy. I really love the vocals in this one. I hope this song does well on this countdown than the Alt-18 countdown.
Sam Smith - Too Good At Goodbyes: The best entrant this week. Sam's vocals are superior. I think this song should reach the height of Stay With Me. Let's see if it does.
My Opinions/ My Thoughts On The Top 5;
5. Kesha - Praying: This song debuted the Top 5 this week. It would be interesting if this song hit #1 on this countdown.
4. Ed Sheeran - Galway Girl: It's holding the spot. I don't know why every song by Ed Sheeran always has to be a Top 5 hit on this countdown. Let's see if it can jump to the top.
3. Demi Lovato - Sorry Not Sorry: I wasn't very pleased to see that song debut the Top 3. We do not need this song at #1 on this countdown. It needs to get out of here.
2. Shawn Mendes - There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back: It's still there. But I still like this song. But I would put this song in pink anytime soon.
1. Niall Horan - Slow Hands: It's holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. Let's see how long this song takes to hold the spot.
Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:
1. Evaride - Heartless
2. Zayn/Sia - Dusk Till Dawn
3. Taylor Swift - ...Ready For It?
4. Sabrina Carpenter - Why
5. Fergie/Nicki Minaj - You Already Know (DEBUT)
6. Niall Horan - Too Much To Ask (DEBUT)
7. Selena Gomez - Fetish
8. Why Don't We - Something Different
9. The Script - Rain

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Fergie/Nicki Minaj - You Already Know: Fergie's vocals are great. I do love Nicki Minaj's part.
Lauv - I Like Me Better: The vocals in this song are so great. Let's see if it'll make the countdown.
Niall Horan - Too Much To Ask: Of course, after Slow Hands hit #1 on this countdown, this song debuted Hit Bound. This is the best Hit Bound entrants this week. Niall's vocals are so awesome. I hope it makes it to the countdown next week.

Nice post!
ReplyDeleteI do agree that Kelly Clarkson sounds pretty much like Adele, especially at the beginning. Though there are a few questionable lyrics, Love So Soft is still pretty divine nonetheless.
If you've been following Hits 1, you should know that they love Ed Sheeran. Thus, any song is certain to be either a Top 5 or a Top 10 hit. Still, I'm pleased to see Galway Girl do well in its early countdown run.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately for you (and Adrian), the same goes for Demi Lovato. I knew Sorry Not Sorry would enter that region at some point, given that Hits 1 also loves Demi. Plus, it's gaining elsewhere right now.
BTW, my first countdown of the fall is out!

ReplyDeleteI’m excited to see what happens with Sam Smith’s “Too Good At Goodbyes”! Nice work on the countdown blog, ATR!
ReplyDeleteI really like the way you describe the songs, ATR! I’m surprised that Taylor Swift didn’t have a bigger jump this week!
ReplyDeleteHello! Nice blog ATR, I like that your best countdown song is Feel It Still. That song I've been growing into recently. I see you worst countdown song is Hey Violet - Hoodie. While I really like the song, I respect your opinion for Hoodie. I'm surprised Taylor Swift's song isn't in the Top 5 yet. I have a feeling it will soon and ...Ready For It? will be on the countdown soon as well. Anyway, nice work!
