#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Taylor Swift/Ed Sheeran/Future - End Game (1st and final week at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
Benny Blanco/Calvin Harris - I Found You and Mark Ronson/Miley Cyrus - Nothing Breaks Like A Heart (+9) are now moving up. They had the best week ever.
Do we seriously need Imagine Dragons - Machine (-10) to be out of the Top 20? I'm not that thrilled about it being out of there. I would like it to get back in here and I would like to see it in the Top 10.
New Song/s on the countdown this week are:
Pitbull/Rhea - Ocean To Ocean: This is one of the songs taking from the soundtrack of Aquaman. Now, this was definitely an awesome song. And of course, this song uses a sample of Africa. Of course, this song wasn't as good as the cover from Weezer, but it is still awesome. Pitbull did a nice job on the verses and Rhea's vocals are so awesome in the chorus. Let's see if it'll do great on this countdown.
Charli XCX/Troye Sivan - 1999: The song itself is similar to 2002, where it has many references such as ...Baby One More Time and movies. It's a nice duet between Charli and Troye. Charli's vocals in this one shine throughout the entire song, and Troye's vocals in the second verse are so awesome. Let's see if it'll do awesome on the countdown.
Dean Lewis - Be Alright: The best countdown debut this week. This is his first countdown appearance this week. Now, this is definitely a fantastic song. Dean's vocals in this one are heaven, the lyrics are fantastic, and that chorus was just fantastic. This might be in my Top 10 songs of this year. I really want this song to do fantastic on this countdown.
SeeB/Bastille - Grip: Of course, after 3 years off, they have made their return on the countdown this week. Now, this was such an awesome EDM song. I love the production in this one, Dan Smith's vocals are so great, and I really enjoyed the drop in the chorus. Let's see how this one does here.
Lauren Daigle - You Say: Of course, this was such an amazing Christian song. I love the piano in this one and Lauren has an amazing voice. She does sound a lot like Adele, which was interesting. Other than that, the chorus was just unstoppable. Let's see if it'll do amazing on this countdown.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Ariana Grande - Thank U, Next: It debuted the Top 5 this week. I'm not too thrilled about that. Now, back to my opinion. The production is bland and generic, her vocals are underwhelming, and the way she drops the f-bomb in the chorus was so awkward and unnecessary. This is definitely her worst song ever and it better not be at the top.
4. Marshmello/Bastille - Happier: I'm actually running out of things to say. Though I'm still glad that it's still there.
3. The Chainsmokers/Kelsea Ballerini - This Feeling: I'm glad that it's still in the Top 3. I still would like to see it go back at the top.
2. Panic! At The Disco - High Hopes: I'm not sure if it'll be back at the top. But I'm sure it's going to stay at that spot for a long time.
1. Halsey - Without Me: Holding the top spot for the 4th week in a row. I seriously want that song to be out of that spot. Let's see if it'll be out of that spot next week.
Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:
1. Imagine Dragons - Bad Liar (DEBUT)
2. Rita Ora - Let You Love Me (DEBUT)
3. lovelytheband - Maybe, I'm Afraid
4. Gesaffelstein/The Weeknd - Lost In The Fire
5. Sabrina Carpenter - Sue Me
6. Panic! At The Disco - Dancing's Not A Crime (DEBUT)
7. Kelsea Ballerini - Miss Me More
8. Stephen Puth - Sexual Vibe
9. Ariana Grande - 7 Rings (DEBUT)
10. Sam Smith/Normani - Dancing With A Stranger
11. Post Malone - Wow.
12. Lauv/Troye Sivan - I'm So Tired (DEBUT)
13. Jake Miller - Wait For You
14. Avril Lavigne - Tell Me It's Over
15. Travis Scott/Drake - Sicko Mode
New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Imagine Dragons - Bad Liar: The best Hit Bound debut this week. This is definitely their best song ever. It's also like a mix between Demons and Walking The Wire, two songs that I really enjoyed. Dan's vocals are heaven in this one, the production is also heaven, and that chorus was just heaven. This could be in my Top 10 songs of this year if it makes the countdown. Let's see if it does next week.
Rita Ora - Let You Love Me: I pretty much already explained why this song was amazing when it debuted the American Top 40. Rita's voice is amazing. It really shows how talented she is. And of course, the production is also amazing, and those lyrics are nicely written. The chorus in this one is definitely what I fell in love with. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Panic! At The Disco - Dancing's Not A Crime: What an awesome song. This is just a step up from Hey Look Ma, I Made It. Brendon's vocals are awesome in this one, the production is also awesome, and that chorus was so awesome. Though that chorus sounds like something AJR would make, which is interesting. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Ariana Grande - 7 Rings: This is a much better song. It's definitely better than Thank U, Next. Ariana's vocals are so much better, the production is also better, and that chorus sounded so much better. This seriously needs to debut the countdown soon.
Lauv/Troye Sivan - I'm So Tired: What an amazing song. Though this song wasn't as good as There's No Way, but it is still amazing. Of course, Lauv has been a talented singer. Now, Lauv's vocals in this one are amazing, Troye's vocals sounded amazing in the second verse, and that chorus was just amazing. Everything on this song was amazing. I really hope this debuts the countdown soon.
