#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Charlie Puth - How Long (1 of 2 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
Dean Lewis - Be Alright (+18) finally made the Top 20! That was the best week ever for him! I was very pleased to see that.
Though we do have 3 songs that are tied for the biggest drop this week. First off, Fall Out Boy - The Last Of The Real Ones is out of the Top 30, which I'm not impressed by, and then we have 2 songs from the same artist. Imagine Dragons - Machine is about to do poorly on here, and Imagine Dragons - Natural (-6) is about to be back out of the Top 20. Though I am starting to get sick of this song. So hopefully it leaves before I put this song in red.
New Song/s on the countdown this week are:
Stephen Puth - Sexual Vibe: We all know that Charlie Puth has a sister and a brother. But this is his brother, who made his first countdown appearance this week. Now, Charlie's voice is the type of voice that helps him to hit those high notes in a lot of his songs. But Stephen's voice is different and it has a deeper voice. But I think Stephen's deep voice is awesome. Other than that, the production is so great, and the lyrics are awesome. Let's see if it'll do awesome on the countdown.
Avril Lavigne - Tell Me It's Over: The best countdown debut this week. She finally made her return after 6 years off. Now this song is definitely better than Head Above Water. This is definitely a heaven song. Everything on this song was heaven. The production is heaven, Avril's vocals are heaven, the lyrics are heaven, and that chorus was absolutely HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!! This could be in my Top 10 songs of this year. Let's see if it does amazing on the countdown.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. 5 Seconds Of Summer - Youngblood: It re-entered the Top 5 this week. I'm glad that it's back there. Let's see how long it can stay in there.
4. The Chainsmokers/Kelsea Ballerini - This Feeling: Can we please let this song be back in the Top 3? I would like it to spend another week at the top.
3. Panic! At The Disco - High Hopes: Though I'm still pleased that it's still in the Top 3. I would like it to stay in there for a little while longer.
2. Marshmello/Bastille - Happier: It's pretty good that this song re-entered the Top 3. Though I'm not sure if it'll be back at the top spot.
1. Halsey - Without Me: Holding the top spot for the 5th week in a row. You voters seriously need to stop voting for this song at the top. This is just a bad song for me.
Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:
1. Lil' Peep/iLoveMakonnen/Fall Out Boy - I've Been Waiting (DEBUT)
2. Sam Smith/Normani Kordei - Dancing With A Stranger
3. Lauv/Troye Sivan - I'm So Tired
4. Panic! At The Disco - Dancing's Not A Crime
5. Post Malone - Wow.
6. Grandson - Apologize (DEBUT)
7. The Chainsmokers/5 Seconds Of Summer - Who Do You Love (DEBUT)
8. Imagine Dragons - Bad Liar
9. Sabrina Carpenter - Sue Me
10. Rita Ora - Let You Love Me
11. lovelytheband - Maybe, I'm Afraid
12. Ariana Grande - 7 Rings
13. Gesaffelstein/The Weeknd - Lost In The Fire
14. Kelsea Ballerini - Miss Me More
15. Jake Miller - Wait For You
16. Travis Scott/Drake - Sicko Mode
New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Lil' Peep/iLoveMakonnen/Fall Out Boy - I've Been Waiting: I heard this song a lot on Alt Nation. But I gotta say, this song was just a decent song. I don't really think Lil' Peep sounds good and Makonnen's voice sounds pretty generic. But Patrick's vocals sounded amazing in this one. So yeah. It's just a decent song. I'll be okay if it debuts the countdown soon.
Grandson - Apologize: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. This is just a heaven song. But this song wasn't as good as Blood//Water, but it is still heaven. The instrumentation is super heaven, Grandson's vocals are extremely heaven, the lyrics are pretty heaven, the chorus was extremely heaven, everything on this song was heaven. This could be in my Top 5 songs of this year when it makes the countdown. I really hope it does soon.
The Chainsmokers/5 Seconds Of Summer - Who Do You Love: That was an amazing collaboration. Now, this song was an amazing song. But unfortunately, Andrew Taggart worked on the production instead of taking some vocals in this one. Now, the production was so amazing, the vocals are pretty amazing, the lyrics are very nicely written, the chorus was really amazing, and the drop was very amazing. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown next week.
