#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Charlie Puth - How Long (2nd and final week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

Stephen Puth - Sexual Vibe (+19) has finally made the Top 20. He had the best week ever. Let's see if it'll make the Top 10 soon.
I'm not too thrilled about the biggest drop this week from Benny Blanco/Calvin Harris - I Found You (-20). Let's see if it'll move up again soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

The Chainsmokers/5 Seconds Of Summer - Who Do You Love: What an amazing EDM song. This is definitely a step up from This Feeling. Unfortunately, we don't get vocals from Andrew Taggart, which was sad. He worked on the production instead.  Now, on to my opinion. The production was so amazing, the vocals are pretty amazing, the lyrics are also amazing, the chorus was really amazing, the drop was very amazing, everything on this song was amazing. I really hope this song becomes a big hit. We know they're two of Hits 1's favorites, so it's definitely going to become a big hit. Let's see if it does.

Travis Scott/Drake - Sicko Mode: Oh boy...... his first countdown appearance this week. I've already explained why this song was insanely awful in my Bottom 10 Songs Of 2018 post. It has a lazy and boring production, Travis' vocals are insanely awful, and the lyrics are terrible. I could say that Drake sounded okay in his verse. But overall, the song was insanely awful. This better not become a big hit on here.

Sabrina Carpenter - Sue Me: The best countdown debut this week. This is definitely her best song EVER!!!!!!!!!! This song is definitely HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!! The production in this one was very heaven, Sabrina's vocals are very heaven, the lyrics are very heaven, the chorus was very heaven, everything on this song was very heaven. This is going to be in my Top 3 songs of this year. This better become a big hit on here.

Sam Smith/Normani Kordei - Dancing With A Stranger: This song was just amazing. Now, this song was just a step up from Too Good At Goodbyes. Sam's vocals are very amazing, and Normani's vocals sounded amazing in the second verse. The production is also amazing, and that chorus was spectacular. Let's see if it'll do amazing on this countdown.

Jake Miller - Wait For You: Of course, he had a few songs trending on the YouTube 15. Now, this song was just decent. I don't think the production fits well with this song. But Jake's vocals are so great. I'll be okay if it does great on this countdown. Let's see how far this one gets.

Ariana Grande - 7 Rings: Since this song was gaining lots and lots of airplay on pop radio charts, this song had the highest debut of the week this week. Now, this song was definitely better than Thank U, Next. Everything on this song is so much better. The production was so amazing, Ariana's vocals are really good, the lyrics are so nice, and I love the chorus. Let's see if it'll do great on this countdown.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On the Top 5:

5. 5 Seconds Of Summer - Youngblood: I'm glad it's still in there. I actually don't have anything to say about that.
4. Marshmello/Bastille - Happier: Wow. This song was been on here for quite a while. That's actually pretty good.
3. Halsey - Without Me: It dropped out of the top spot. I'm glad it's out of here. Now this song needs to stay out of the top spot.
2. Panic! At The Disco - High Hopes: Great. It's back at that spot. Let's see how long it can stay at that spot.
1. The Chainsmokers/Kelsea Ballerini - This Feeling: I'm so glad that this song was back at the top. Let's see how long it can hold that spot.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Imagine Dragons - Bad Liar
2. Rita Ora - Let You Love Me
3. lovelytheband - Maybe, I'm Afraid
4. Maren Morris - Girl (DEBUT)
5. Gesaffelstein/The Weeknd - Lost In The Fire
6. Panic! At The Disco - Dancing's Not A Crime
7. Kelsea Ballerini - Miss Me More
8. Post Malone - Wow.
9. Grandson - Apologize
10. Meghan Trainor - All The Ways (DEBUT)
11. Lil' Peep/iLoveMakonnen/Fall Out Boy - I've Been Waiting
12. Madison Beer - Hurts Like Hell (DEBUT)
13. Lauv/Troye Sivan - I'm So Tired
14. LSD (Labrinth/Sia/Diplo)/Lil Wayne - Genius (Remix) (DEBUT)
15. Kelsy Karter - Harry (DEBUT)

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Maren Morris - Girl: What a heaven country-pop song. This is definitely a step up from Rich. The production is definitely fantastic, Maren's vocals are heaven, the lyrics are also heaven, and wow. That chorus was definitely heaven. I really hope this song debuts the countdown soon.

Meghan Trainor - All The Ways: This is just an amazing song. Though this song wasn't as good as Let You Be Right, but it is still amazing. Meghan's vocals in this one shine throughout the whole song. Other than that, the production was amazing, the lyrics are amazing, and the chorus was amazing. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Madison Beer - Hurts Like Hell: This song was just mediocre. Hits 1 did edit out Offset's verse in this one, which is great. But I gotta say, this song was still mediocre without him. This song was definitely a step down from Home With You. The production in this one was okay, but I don't think Madison sounds good in this one. However, my opinions would change in a few more listens. And if my thoughts do change, it'll change to green or red. I really hope it's going to be green.

LSD (Labrinth/Sia/Diplo)/Lil Wayne - Genius (Remix): Of course, I heard the original version of this song a lot on Alt Nation. But now we got the remix. Now, both Labrinth and Sia sounded amazing, and I love Lil Wayne's verses. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown.

Kelsy Karter - Harry: This is just a decent song. The production here is good, Kelsy's vocals are okay, and the chorus was just decent. Hoiwever, my thoughts would change in a couple of more listens and I'm hoping it's going to be green. Let's see if it'll debut the countdown soon.

  2. I really love this countdown blog this week, ATR. Good insight and thoughts on so many new songs. I also think it’s pretty awesome there is so much crossover with country and alternative songs.

  3. I also like how unbiased you are. The fact that you hated Thank U, next, but love her new song says a lot about the fact that you truly just enjoy the music itself and it’s not about the artist!
