AT40: Doja Cat (3) Week Of June 6, 2020

So from what I heard on the news this week, the stay home order is being lifted and I'm super duper pleased about that. Everything is going to be back open again this Monday. But we're all going to start wearing our masks whenever we enter a restaurant or somewhere else so that way we won't spread the coronavirus or even get it. So please be careful and not get sick! Anyway. As far as the AT40 goes, it still looks okay. We did get rid of my #1 song of last year, and that of course it will forever be missed. But other than that, everything else still looks great. So, let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 40, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Sam Smith/Normani Kordei - Dancing With A Stranger (1st and only week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm super pleased to see Marshmello/Halsey - Be Kind (+5) having the biggest jump for the second week in a row. Wow, this song has really been gaining more airplay on the pop radio charts.

Arizona Zervas - Roxanne, Twenty One Pilots - Level Of Concern, The Weeknd - Heartless and The Weeknd -  In Your Eyes (-3) were all tied for the biggest drop this week. That's crazy that we actually have 4 songs tied for the biggest drop of the week this week.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

Bazzi - Young & Alive: It's actually been a while since we last heard from him. Now, this is such an awesome song. For my opinion, the production sounded so nice, Bazzi's vocals shine throughout the entire song, I'm a fan of the lyrics and they're really nicely-written, and the chorus sounded so awesome. Let's see how this one does on here.

JP Saxe/Julia Michaels - If The World Was Ending: This is also another awesome song. Though I do have this one in blue at first, but then I came back to this song and gave it a few more listens and it has actually grown on me. Now, on to the song. The piano sounded so awesome, JP Saxe's vocals sounded solid, Julia's vocals were amazing in her contribution, and that chorus was so awesome. Let's see how far this song goes on there.

Jonas Brothers/Karol G - X: The best debut this week. This is such an outstanding song to listen to. But it's not as good as What A Man Gotta Do, but it's still outstanding. The production in this one was so awesome, their vocals sounded absolutely outstanding, Karol's vocals also sound absolutely outstanding in her contribution, and I really enjoyed that chorus. Hopefully this one becomes a hit on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Camila Cabello/DaBaby - My Oh My: Looks like this song is about to leave the Top 5 very soon. Though it did had a nice time on there.

4. Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now: I didn't actually expect this song to still be in there, but it actually did. And it's actually moving back up, too. Though I don't think it's going to be back in the Top 3, but we're gonna have to see if it does or not.

3. Justin Bieber/Quavo - Intentions: I'm fine with this song in the Top 3. Though I doubt this song might be at the top spot. But if it does, I'll still be fine and still give credit to it.

2. The Weeknd - Blinding Lights: I'm still great with this song holding that spot, but yeah, I do have a feeling that it's not going to be back at the top spot. It might start dropping next week.

1. Doja Cat - Say So: Holding the top spot for the 3rd week in a row. I'm still fine with this song still in there and I'm still giving credit to it. Though I'm sure hoping for a better song to be at the top spot. Hopefully next week should do it.
