AT40: Doja Cat (4) Week Of June 13, 2020
So everything in my local area is now back open this past Monday. Thank goodness the stay home order is finally over and I'm pleased that I don't have to stay at home anymore. And I also hope everyone's been wearing masks whenever they come to a place that was closed down so that they don't get the coronavirus or spread it. Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, it's looking pretty good. We had an amazing debut this week which I'm going to get to that later. So now, let's get to it! #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Jonas Brothers - Sucker (6 of 8 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm so pleased to see Ariana Grande/Justin Bieber - Stuck With U (+4) in the Top 20. Now, I'm sure hoping this goes to the Top 10 soon.
I'm okay with Roddy Ricch - The Box (-7) taking the biggest drop this week. I had a decent feeling that it's going to leave very soon.
New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:
Lil Mosey - Blueberry Faygo: This is definitely an outstanding song. Now, I actually found out that this song is actually his biggest hit after that XXL Freshman cypher, which was actually interesting. Now, I've gone over this song back when it debuted Hit Bound last month. The production in this one was so catchy, Mosey's vocals were outstanding, and the chorus was absolutely amazing. Here's to hoping that this one should do well on there.
Harry Styles - Watermelon Sugar: What an amazing song. Now, since Adore You was doing really well, this song has now made it's debut on there. Though not as good as Adore You, but it's still amazing. The production in this one was outstanding, Harry's vocals were remarkable, and the chorus was definitely amazing. Let's see if this one does amazing on there.
Lady Gaga/Ariana Grande - Rain On Me: The best debut this week. It's definitely her best song ever and it's definitely a big step up from Stupid Love. Now, I've already gone over my opinion a couple weeks ago back when it debuted the countdown. The production was so heavenly, Gaga's vocals were absolutely amazing, Ariana's vocals were pretty heavenly in her contribution, and my gosh that chorus was extremely heavenly. This is definitely going to be in my Top 5 Songs of the year and it will replace Stupid Love from there. Hopefully this one becomes a massive hit on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Harry Styles - Adore You: It re-entered the Top 5 this week. I'm so glad to see that, but I'm sure this song is going to be back out of here next week or so.
4. Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now: I'm glad that it's actually still there. Though I do have a feeling that this might be the end of it, but it sure did had an amazing run in there.
3. Justin Bieber/Quavo - Intentions: I'm still fine with this song still in the Top 3. But again I'm still gonna give credit to this song if it goes to the top spot soon.
2. The Weeknd - Blinding Lights: Wow, how is this song still standing at this spot? I thought it was actually going to drop this week, but I'm pleased it didn't.
1. Doja Cat - Say So: Holding the top spot for the 4th week in a row. Gosh, this song has really been doing so amazing on there. Though I'm still fine with this song still in there. Now, let's see how long it could stay in there even more.
