Harry Styles (4) Week Of July 18, 2020

The countdown looks alright this week, there was actually a mixture of good and bad things happening on here. But we do have some okay debuts this week, but we do have an amazing Top 5 this week that I'll actually get to later. Other than that, I don't have anything else to say about this one, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

The Chainsmokers/5 Seconds Of Summer - Who Do You Love (1 of 2 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm okay with DaBaby/Roddy Ricch - Rockstar (+7) having the biggest jump this week. I'll still give credit to this song.

I really have no idea why Maren Morris - The Bones (-8) decided to have the biggest drop again. This does not deserve to do that. But it is going to be the end of it.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

Pink Sweat$ - 17: This song re-entered the countdown for the third time. That's so crazy to see it having three runs on there. Now, let's see how this one does in it's third run.

Conan Gray - Heather: Since Maniac left the countdown a couple weeks ago, this song now makes it's debut on there. Now, this song isn't as good as Maniac, but it's still amazing. The production in this one was so marvelous, Conan's vocals were super amazing, I'm a fan of those lyrics, and that chorus was so amazing. Let's see how this one does on there.

Jackson Wang - 100 Ways: I really have no idea why we have this song, but this is actually not a good song. I know that he actually sounds decent back when Walking was on there. But this song does not work for him. There's nothing good about this song. The production in this one was actually strange, Jackson's vocals do not sound good at all, and wow, that chorus was so boring. So yeah, overall it's definitely not a good song for me. Hopefully this one does poorly on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Lady Gaga/Ariana Grande - Rain On Me: I'm super pleased to see this song debuting the Top 5. Now, hopefully this song goes to the top spot soon.

4. 5 Seconds Of Summer - Old Me: It dropped out of the Top 3 this week. Now, I feel like this song might be out of the Top 5 sometime soon, but hopefully it'll stay in there for longer.

3. Alesso/Liam Payne - Midnight: I'm so glad to see this song in the Top 3. Now, can it be his first #1 song on there? Although he did had a #1 song on there a couple years ago, which of course is Let Me Go, but that's actually Hailee Steinfeld's song, not his. But I'm sure hoping it'll be in there soon.

2. Dua Lipa - Break My Heart: I'm still waiting for this song to be at the top spot. But I don't think it's ever going to be in there because of what was happening. But let's see if it'll be at the top spot soon.

1. Harry Styles - Watermelon Sugar: Holding the top spot for the 4th week in a row. I was actually surprised that this song was still there. Now, let's see if it'll still be in there next week or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Zoe Wees - Control

2. Niall Horan - Black And White

3. Conkarah/Shaggy/DJ Fle - Banana

4. Katy Perry - Daisies (RE-ENTRY)

5. 5 Seconds Of Summer - Wildflower

6. Topic/A7S - Breaking Me

7. Harry Styles - Falling

8. Kane Brown/Khalid/Swae Lee - Be Like That (DEBUT)

9. Sia - Together

10. Trevor Daniel/Selena Gomez - Past Life (DEBUT)

11. Cyn - Drinks

12. Kygo/OneRepublic - Lose Somebody

13. Jawsh 685/Jason Derulo - Savage Love (DEBUT)

14. Tones And I - Ur So Fucking Cool

15. AJR - Bang!

16. Young T & Bugsey/Headie One - Don't Rush

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Katy Perry - Daisies: WHY WOULD IT RE-ENTER HIT BOUND WHEN IT ALREADY LEFT THE COUNTDOWN?????!!!!! This does not deserve to be back in there! This seriously needs to be out of here and be gone for good! I'm getting so tired of hearing this song!

Kane Brown/Khalid/Swae Lee - Be Like That: Does anyone remember him? He brought us One Thing Right with Marshmello last year. And now, he's back. Though this song looks like an R&B song instead of a country song. And this song wasn't actually on The Highway because of the way the song feels like. But this is actually an amazing song. Not as good as One Thing Right, but it's still amazing. The production in this one was so outstanding, Kane's vocals were pretty amazing, Khalid's vocals were absolutely incredible in his contribution, the chorus in this one was so amazing, and Swae Lee sounded marvelous in his verse. So yeah, overall it's such a fun song for me to listen to. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.

Trevor Daniel/Selena Gomez - Past Life: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. Now, since Falling was doing so amazing on the pop radio charts (and even on the AT40), this song now makes it's debut on there. Now, this song was actually better than Falling and this is definitely his best song ever. This is definitely a heavenly song for me to listen to. Now, on to the song. The production in this one was so phenomenal, Trevor's vocals were so heavenly, Selena's vocals also sound so heavenly in her contribution, those lyrics are definitely what I'm a huge fan of and are super nicely-written, and that chorus was super heavenly. This could end up being in my Top 10 Songs of the year when it debuts the countdown soon. I'm sure hoping it'll happen.

Jawsh 685/Jason Derulo - Savage Love: He finally made his return on there after a long while. Now, this song is such an outstanding and fun song. Now, on to the song. The production and the beat here is super fun, Jason's vocals shine throughout the entire song, especially his falsetto. The lyrics were super outstanding, and the chorus was so amazing. So yeah, overall it's outstanding. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
