#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Shawn Mendes - If I Can’t Have You (4 of 9 weeks at #1)

This Week’s Mover and Shaker:

Jawsh 685/Jason Derulo - Savage Love, Zoe Wees - Control and Ava Max - Kings & Queens (+8) were tied for the biggest jump this week. Though I’m not too thrilled at one of them, but I’m pleased about the rest.

Zedd/Jasmine Thompson - Funny (-5) had the biggest drop on it’s second week on the countdown?! That’s not fair! Hopefully it should move back up next week.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Ananya - Let There Be Love: The best countdown debut this week. She was actually this month’s Hits 1 To Watch, which was so interesting. Now, for this song, it’s definitely an amazing song. The production is super amazing, Ananya’s vocals are so phenomenal, the chorus was so amazing, and that drop was super fun. So yeah, overall it’s such an amazing song to listen to. Let’s see how far this one goes.

Kane Brown/Khalid/Swae Lee - Be Like That: He finally made his return on the countdown. Now, as we remember back last year, he brought us One Thing Right with Marshmello, which I’ve actually enjoyed back then. Now for this new song, it’s also amazing. Though it does feel like an R&B song instead of a country song. Anyway, on to my opinion. The production sounded outstanding, Kane’s vocals were pretty amazing, Khalid’s vocals sounded absolutely incredible in his contribution, the chorus was so amazing, and Swae Lee sounded marvelous in his verse. Let’s see if this should become a hit on there.

Maroon 5 - Nobody’s Love: It’s such an outstanding song. Now, this is definitely a step up from Memories. For my opinion, the production in this one was absolutely awesome, Adam’s vocals were remarkable, the lyrics are so nicely-written, and the chorus is so outstanding. I’m sure it’s going to do so well on there because of them. Hopefully it could be.

Taylor Swift - Cardigan: After Cruel Summer did not do so well on there, this song has now made it’s debut on there. Now, it’s such an amazing song. Though definitely not as good as Cruel Summer, but it is still amazing. The production is so amazing, Taylor’s vocals were absolutely marvelous, and that chorus is definitely what I stand for. Now, hopefully this should become a massive hit since Cruel Summer didn't.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Dua Lipa - Break My Heart: No, I don’t want this song to drop. I’d like it back in the Top 3. But I’m not sure if it’s going to happen, but we’re gonna have to see.

4. 5 Seconds Of Summer - Old Me: I’m still glad about this song still in there. But I’m sure it might be dropping and be out of here anytime soon. But hopefully it’ll stay in there for a little bit longer.

3. Ashe/Niall Horan - Moral Of The Story: I’m so pleased to see it debut the Top 5. Now, hopefully this should be at the top spot soon.

2. Alesso/Liam Payne - Midnight: I was still waiting for this song to be at the top spot. But I’m not sure if it’s going to be in there because of our current #1 song on there. But hopefully soon it’ll be in there.

1. Harry Styles - Watermelon Sugar: Holding the top spot for the 6th week in a row. Gosh, what was he doing in his career this year? That was actually the biggest year for him. Now, let’s see if it’ll still be in there next week or not.

Now, let’s review this week’s Hit Bound:

1. Ananya - Let There Be Love (DEBUT*)

2. Conan Gray - Heather

3. Blackbear - Queen Of Broken Hearts (DEBUT)

4. Dixie D’Amelio - Be Happy (DEBUT)

* = Debuted the countdown and Hit Bound at the same time

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Ananya - Let There Be Love: Wow, another song debuting the countdown and Hit Bound at the same time this week? I betcha this might be because that’s what they’re doing with Hits 1 To Watch. But I do know this song might be leaving here within the next week or so.

Blackbear - Queen Of Broken Hearts: This is also another decent song. Though this was actually a little bit of a step up from Hot Girl Bummer. Now, on to my opinion. The production here sounded decent, Blackbear’s vocals were okay, but I’m not really huge on those lyrics. Though the chorus is what I’ll still give credit to and it actually sounds fine. So yeah, it’s decent overall. Let’s see if it’ll be on the countdown soon.

Dixie D’Amelio - Be Happy: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. Wow, we have one of the famous TikTok users making her debut on there? That’s pretty interesting! Anyway, now this is absolutely an amazing song. The production sounded super amazing, Dixie’s vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics are definitely what I’m a big fan of, and I really fell in love with that chorus. Here’s to hoping that it should be on the countdown soon.

Surf Mesa/Emilee - ILY: I really have no idea why we have this song, but my gosh this is a horrible song. Because they actually took the Death Bed (Coffee For Your Head) formula, where they actually took a few lines and then repeated them over and over and over and over and over again throughout the whole song, and it gets super annoying! Now, on to the song. The production is so egregious, Surf Mesa sounded so bad, but not as bad as Powfu, but he still sounds so bad. And that chorus… I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT STAND IT!!!!!!!!!! This is going to be in my Bottom 10 Songs of the year just like Death Bed (Coffee For Your Head) is, but I think it might rank lower than that. Hopefully this doesn’t debut the countdown.

Doja Cat/Gucci Mane - Like That: I’m actually okay with this song being back on here. But I do have a feeling that this song might come back to the countdown soon. Let’s see if that happens.
