Harry Styles (6) Week Of November 14, 2020
Again, I hope everyone did not do anything bad on Friday The 13th. As far as the countdown goes, it doesn't actually look bad. Though there were a few things that were good and bad on here this week. But other than that, it still looks pretty good this week. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
5 Seconds Of Summer - Teeth (1 of 2 weeks at #1) [yuck...]
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm super pleased to see Ariana Grande - Positions (+10) taking the biggest jump this week. Now, I'm sure hoping this should be in the Top 10 next week.
I'm not too thrilled to see Ava Max - Kings & Queens taking the biggest drop this week. This does not deserve to have that at all. But 5 Seconds Of Summer - Wildflower (-8) was tied for it, and I'm actually not too thrilled to see that either.
New Song/s on the countdown this week are:
Why Don't We - Fallin': The best countdown debut this week and the only great debut we have. This is definitely an outstanding song. This is definitely a step up from What Am I. Now, on to the song. The production here sounded so outstanding, these guy's vocals were super marvelous, the lyrics are absolutely outstanding, and that chorus was super amazing. Let's see how far this one goes.
Ritt Momney - Put Your Records On: This was actually a cover of the original song by Corinne Bailey Rae back in 2006. But I really have no idea why we have this one, because my gosh this song is garbage. There's nothing good to say about this one. It's definitely worse than the original one. The production here is so bland, I really hate how auto-tuned this guy's vocals were, and wow, that chorus is so bad. So yeah, not a good song for me. We don't need this. This better do poorly on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. AJR - Bang!: Yeah, I don't think this song is ever going to come back to the Top 3. It might still hang around in there for a little bit longer.
4. 24kgoldn/Iann Dior - Mood: I'm fine with this song out of the Top 3. Although I am still giving credit to it when it comes back there.
3. Shawn Mendes - Wonder: I'm still waiting for this song to be at the top spot. But I'm sure it's going to be in there next week.
2. All Time Low/Blackbear - Monsters: I'm super pleased to see this song debuting the Top 5 and into the Top 3. And it's almost at the top spot! Can it be their first #1 song on there? I'm really hoping so, because this is actually going to be my #1 song of the year. Hopefully this should be in the top spot very soon.
1. Harry Styles - Falling: Holding the top spot for the 6th week in a row. I'm glad that this song is still there, but I'm sure another song is probably going to be in the top spot next week. But let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:
1. Billie Eilish - Therefore I Am (DEBUT)
2. Travis Scott/Young Thug/M.I.A. - Franchise
3. Ariana Grande - 34 + 35 (DEBUT)
4. G-Eazy/Blackbear - Hate The Way
5. Zara Larsson - WOW
6. Justin Bieber/Benny Blanco - Lonely
7. AJR - Bummerland
8. The Weeknd - Save Your Tears (DEBUT)
9. Shaylen - Goodbye
10. MAX/Suga - Blueberry Eyes
11. Lil Nas X - Holiday (DEBUT)
12. Rosie - Never The 1
13. Malia Civetz - Broke Boy
14. Internet Money/Gunna/Don Toliver/Nav - Lemonade
15. Royal & The Serpent - Overwhelmed
New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Billie Eilish - Therefore I Am: This is definitely another decent song. Now, since My Future has been doing poorly on the pop radio charts, this song now debuts Hit Bound. Now, this is not as decent as My Future, but it's still decent. The production here actually sounded so good, though Billie's vocals still sound decent and the chorus was decent. So yeah, overall it's decent. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Ariana Grande - 34 + 35: Since Positions is doing so well on there, we now have this song. Though the title here is so interesting that I actually wanted to do the math there. And of course, I know the answer to that is 69, because I'm actually super good at addition. But that's not what we're talking about, we're going to be talking about this song. Now, this is definitely an amazing song. Though definitely not as good as Positions, but it's still amazing. The production here is so amazing, Ariana's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics are super interesting, and that chorus was super amazing. Now, I'm sure this will be on the countdown when Positions hit the Top 10. Hopefully this should happen.
The Weeknd - Save Your Tears: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. Even though Blinding Lights is still in the Top 10 on the AT40 and on the Hot 100, it's finally about to lose some airplay and now it's time to get a new single from them. Now, this is definitely a phenomenal song. Though still not as good as Blinding Lights, but this is a step up from In Your Eyes and Heartless. The production here is so phenomenal, the vocals were super amazing, and that chorus is so heavenly. Hopefully this should be on the countdown soon.
Lil Nas X - Holiday: Yeah, I know he's definitely not a good singer, but this song is actually not bad. It's also a decent song. I know I've been hating Old Town Road and Panini back then. But this song is actually way better than those two, but still not that great. Now, on to my opinion. The production here actually sounds great, but I still don't like Lil Nas X's vocals. But other than that, I really love the lyrics here and I think the chorus actually sounded decent. So yeah, it's another decent song for me. I'll be fine if this song debuts the countdown soon.
