All Time Low (2) Week Of January 2, 2021

So it has now been a new year. Thank goodness 2020 is finally over! Now we don't have to think about that year anymore, because this was definitely the worst year ever. Burn in hell, 2020. Though restaurants and schools are still closed, which sucks. I wasn't very happy to see them remain closed for the rest of 2020. But hopefully they'll be back open again soon. Anyway. I really can't wait to see what's trending with new music on here this year. Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, we are still in the Golden Ages of the countdown, which was definitely the best way to begin the year. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Niall Horan - Nice To Meet Ya (5 of 8 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm super glad to see Shawn Mendes/Justin Bieber - Monster (+8) taking the biggest jump this week. Now, I'm sure this is going to be in the Top 10 very soon.

I'm okay with Drake/Lil Durk - Laugh Now Cry Later and Lil Nas X - Holiday (-4) tying for the biggest drop this week. I'll still give credit to them.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Sigala/James Arthur - Lasting Lover: This is just a decent song. There's nothing really interesting to say about this song. Although I'd say that the production here sounded decent, but James's vocals were actually outstanding and I still really love those lyrics. I think they'll still so nicely-written. Though the chorus here sounded decent. So yeah, it's decent overall. Let's see how far this one goes.

Ed Sheeran - Afterglow: This is the only great debut we have this week. And this is absolutely another amazing song. Though it's not as good as South Of The Border, but it's still amazing. For my opinion, the production here sounded so outstanding, Ed's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus is what I really enjoyed. Hopefully this should become a big hit on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Shawn Mendes - Wonder: It re-entered the Top 5. I'm so glad to see it back in there, although I don't think it's ever going to come back to the Top 3, but we're gonna have to see.

4. Billie Eilish - Therefore I Am: Ok, that's fine. I'll still give credit to this song being out of the Top 3. However this might come back there sometime soon.

3. Harry Styles - Golden: I'm so pleased to see this song coming back to the Top 3. Though I'm sure this is going to come back to the top spot, but let's see if it'll be back in there soon.

2. Dua Lipa/DaBaby - Levitating: What's going on with this song still standing at that spot? Although I'm sure this is probably not going to be at the top spot, but I'm sure this might hang around in the Top 3 for a while.

1. All Time Low/Demi Lovato/Blackbear - Monsters: Holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. I'm super duper pleased to see this song still in there. I really would like to see it stay in that spot for a few more weeks longer. But let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

MAX/Suga - Blueberry Eyes: It re-entered Hit Bound this week, which is so great for me. Now, let's see if it'll have another chance to be on the countdown soon.

Justin Bieber - Anyone: This is absolutely another outstanding song. This is definitely a step up from Lonely. Now, for my opinion, the production in this one sounded so awesome, Justin's vocals were absolutely outstanding, the lyrics here are super nice, and that chorus was so amazing. I'm sure this should debut the countdown when Lonely is doing well on there. Let's see if it'll happen soon.

Jennifer Lopez - In The Morning: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. She has finally made her return on there. Now, the last time we heard from her was Medicine with French Montana, and well it was doing okay on the countdown. But now, here she is back. Now, this is absolutely a phenomenal song. The production is so amazing, J-Lo's vocals were super phenomenal, and that chorus is absolutely heavenly. Hopefully this should debut the countdown soon.
