#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Lizzo - Good As Hell (6th and final week at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm so glad to see Justin Bieber/Benny Blanco - Lonely (+8) taking the biggest jump and almost in the Top 10. Now, I'm sure hoping it should be in the Top 10 next week.
Kane Brown/Khalid/Swae Lee - Be Like That (-10) is now losing lots of airplay on the pop radio charts. Although I'm not that thrilled to see it have the biggest drop this week, but it is going to be the end of it.
New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:
Maluma/The Weeknd - Hawai: I've actually known Maluma since they collaborated with The Vamps in the song All Night back in 2017. And now, for this new song, it's actually mediocre. There isn't really anything interesting to say about this remix. Although the remix is on the same level as the original one. The production actually sounds underwhelming, and Maluma's vocals actually sound decent. But I do love Abel's vocals here. I think he still sounds amazing on there. Though the chorus here is mediocre. So yeah, this is a mediocre song overall. Let's see how far this gets.
The Kid Laroi - So Done: He has made his first appearance on there. Now, this is absolutely another decent song. There isn't really anything here that's interesting to say about this song. The production here actually sound great and the chorus here sounded awesome. But my main issue here is this guy's vocals. But I do love those lyrics, because I think they're still great. But it's a decent song overall. Let's see how far this gets.
The Weeknd - Save Your Tears: Since Blinding Lights is finally about to lose airplay, this song has now made it's debut on there. Now, this is definitely a phenomenal song. Though not as good as Blinding Lights, but this is definitely a step up from In Your Eyes and Heartless. The production here sounded so phenomenal, Abel's vocals were super amazing, and that chorus is so heavenly. Hopefully this should become a big hit on there.
Miley Cyrus/Dua Lipa - Prisoner: The best debut this week. This was actually my #2 song of last year from which you've seen in my Top 10 Songs of the year post. It's definitely an extremely heavenly song and this is definitely a step up from Midnight Sky. The production here is extremely heavenly, Miley's vocals were super heavenly, Dua's vocals were extremely heavenly in her contribution, those lyrics were super heavenly, and that chorus was extremely heavenly. Let's see how far this gets.
Ritt Momney - Put Your Records On: This was actually a cover of the original song by Corinne Bailey Rae back in 2006. But I really have no idea why we have this song, because this is definitely another garbage song. This is definitely worse than the original one. The production here is so bland, I really hate how auto-tuned this guy's vocals were, and my gosh that chorus is so bad. So yeah, we don't need this. Hopefully this does not become a hit on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Dua Lipa/DaBaby - Levitating: It debuted the Top 5 this week. I'm super glad to see it in there. Now, I'm sure this is definitely going to be at the top spot sometime soon. Hopefully it'll happen.
4. Justin Bieber/Chance The Rapper - Holy: I'm fine with this song still standing at that spot, but I'm sure it'll be in the Top 3 within the next week or so.
3. Ava Max - Kings & Queens: Oh gosh... I don't really want this song to drop! I'd like this song to be at the top spot pretty soon, but I don't think it's actually going to happen.
2. Ariana Grande - Positions: I'm super pleased to see it almost at the top spot. Now, I'm sure this is definitely going to be at the top spot within the next week or so.
1. 24kgoldn/Iann Dior - Mood: Holding the top spot for the 9th week in a row. Wow, what on earth has this song been doing on there? It really has been doing super phenomenal on there. Although I'm actually okay with this song still in there. But I'm sure another song is probably going to be at the top spot very soon. But let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
