Ed Sheeran (3) Week Of August 21, 2021
We have kind of a crazy countdown this week. There has been lots of good and bad stuff that's happening on there. But we did get rid of another piece of trash, which was always a nice thing. But unfortunately, we are not back to having no bad songs on the countdown because of one of our debuts this week which I'll get to later. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say about this one, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Ashe/Niall Horan - Moral Of The Story (1 of 6 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm fine with Lil Nas X/Jack Harlow - Industry Baby (+13) taking the biggest jump. Though it's almost in the Top 10, and I'm sure this is going to be in there next week.
I'm not too thrilled to see Kane Brown/Blackbear - Memory (-6) taking the biggest drop. But I'm sure hoping that this should come back up and not leave very soon.
New Song/s on the countdown this week are:
Normani Kordei/Cardi B. - Wild Side: The best countdown debut this week. This was actually her first song to be on the countdown. I know she has been on there since she was collaborated on Khalid's Love Lies and Sam Smith's Dancing With A Stranger, but that doesn't actually count because this was actually their songs, not her's. And Motivation was a Hit Bound dropout a couple years ago. So this is now her first ever song to be on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. But definitely not as good as Motivation, but it's still amazing. For my opinion, the production was so amazing, Normani's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were very nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. But my only issue about this song was Cardi B.'s verse which we all know why. She sounds so bad in her verse. But this is amazing overall. Let's see how far this one should get.
Vaultboy - Everything Sucks: I really have no idea where this come from and why it's here, but it's such a boring song. And not only that, but this song is actually less than 2 minutes long, which I don't like. And this must've came from TikTok or something. For my opinion, I'm not really huge on the production and this guy's vocals do not sound good. And the lyrics were so horrible and the chorus was so boring. So yeah, this is such a boring song for me overall. This better not become a hit on there.
Khalid - New Normal: He hasn't been having a solo single in a couple years. And now he has finally made his return on there. Now, the last time we heard from him was Talk, and that was a hit back then. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely an outstanding song. But definitely not as good as Talk, but it's still outstanding. For my opinion, the production was so outstanding, Khalid's vocals were super outstanding, the lyrics were so nice and they're actually so interesting, and that chorus was so amazing. Let's see how far this one should get.
WizKid/Tems/Justin Bieber - Essence: Does anybody remember him? He was featured in Drake's song, One Dance along with Kyla, and that was a hit back in 2016. And of course, I've been enjoying this song back then. And now, we have this one, although it is the remix of it with Justin being in it. Though the remix was actually on the same level as the original one. As far as the song goes, it's also an outstanding song. With my opinion, the production was so outstanding, all of their vocals were remarkable, the lyrics were so nice, and the chorus was so amazing. Let's see how this one does on there.
Billie Eilish - Happier Than Ever: She replaces herself this week. As far as this new song goes, this is also another decent song. Though it's not as good as NDA, but it's still decent. For my opinion, the production here was decent, Billie's vocals were decent, and the chorus was okay. But I don't mind the lyrics here, because I think they're still super nicely-written and I'm still a huge fan of them. But this is a decent song for me to listen to overall. Let's see how far this one should get.
Lizzo/Cardi B. - Rumors: She has finally made her return on there. I know Juice and Truth Hurts were both decent songs and Good As Hell was an amazing song and Cuz I Love You was a bad song. And now, she's finally back with another outstanding song. For my opinion, the production was so outstanding, Lizzo's vocals were super outstanding, the lyrics were so remarkable, and that chorus was so amazing. And yes, again I don't like Cardi B.'s verse because she still sounds so terrible in it. But this is an outstanding song for me overall. Let's see if this should do well on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Anne-Marie/Niall Horan - Our Song: I sure would like this song to move back up and get back in the Top 3, although I'm not sure if it'll actually happen. But I'm sure hoping it will.
4. The Kid Laroi/Justin Bieber - Stay: I'm still waiting for this song to be in the Top 3. But I'm sure that it'll be in there within the next week or so. Hopefully I'm right.
3. Marshmello/Jonas Brothers - Leave Before You Love Me: I actually don't want this song to leave the Top 3, but I do have a strange feeling that this might be out of here pretty soon.
2. Olivia Rodrigo - Good 4 U: I'm glad that it's moving back up, but I don't think it's ever going to come back to the top spot. But I'm sure this is going to stay in the Top 3 for a little bit longer.
1. Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits: Holding the top spot for the 3rd week in a row. I'm so pleased that it's still in there. He really has been doing amazing in his career on there. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:
1. Doja Cat - Need To Know (RE-ENTRY)
2. Dream/Alec Benjamin - Change My Clothes (DEBUT)

16. Masked Wolf - Say So
New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Doja Cat - Need To Know: I'm pleased to see this song coming back on there this week. I know this has gone viral on TikTok and it has also been a Top 20 hit on the Hot 100. So I'm sure this is going to be on the countdown very soon. Let's see if it does.
Dream/Alec Benjamin - Change My Clothes: Wow, we have a Minecraft YouTuber making his debut on there? That's so interesting. But this song is actually decent. There's nothing much interesting to say about this song. With my opinion, the production here was decent and I think Dream's vocals were actually decent. And of course Alec's vocals do not sound good in his contribution. He still sounds childish here. And the chorus here was decent and I actually don't mind the lyrics, because I think they're still very interesting. But this is a decent song for me overall. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Shawn Mendes/Tainy - Summer Of Love: This is such an amazing song and this was actually a step up from Wonder. And we have yet another brand new producer coming in here. As for my opinion, the production was so amazing, Shawn's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and that chorus was so fun and phenomenal. But yeah, overall it's such an amazing song. I'm really hoping that this should be on the countdown very soon.
Jackson Wang/Internet Money - Drive Me Home: I'm actually surprised that they didn't pick up LMLY, because this song is actually a step up from it. But this is also a mediocre song. There isn't really anything here that's interesting to say about this one. Though the production was decent, but I'm not really huge on Jackson's vocals here and the chorus was okay. But I don't mind the lyrics here because I think they're actually not that bad. But this is mediocre overall. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Clinton Kane - I Guess I'm In Love: Oh god... here we go again coming back on there. He really is yet to be another bad singer, because I know I've hated Fix It To Break It and Chicken Tendies back then. And now we have this one. This is absolutely a garbage song. For my opinion, the production was so boring, Clinton's vocals were so bad, the lyrics don't make any sense at all, and that chorus was so garbage. But yeah, we don't need more music from him. This is such a garbage song for me overall. This better not be on the countdown.
Ed Sheeran - Visiting Hours: Since Bad Habits hit the top spot on the countdown, this song has now made it's debut on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and this is actually a step up from Bad Habits. For my opinion, the production was super amazing, Ed's vocals were so phenomenal, I'm a huge fan of those lyrics, and that chorus was absolutely phenomenal. I'm really hoping that this should be on the countdown next week.
Black Eyed Peas/Saweetie/Lele Pons - Hit It: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. Although I'm not too thrilled that they didn't pick up Girl Like Me, but this new song is actually a step up from it. It's such an amazing song. For my opinion, the production was so amazing and groovy, the Black Eyed Peas's vocals were super amazing, Saweetie's vocals were so much better in her verse, Lele's vocals were so heavenly in her contribution, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and that chorus was super phenomenal. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.
