#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Olivia Rodrigo - Good 4 U (4 of 7 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm so pleased to see Doja Cat - Vegas (+11) take the biggest jump into the Top 20. This sure has been gaining lots of airplay on the pop radio charts recently. Now, hopefully this should go to the Top 10 soon.
The Weeknd - Out Of Time (-16) sure has been losing lots of airplay recently and that's what caused it to take the biggest drop. And I'm sure this is going to be out of here within the next week or so.
New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:
Ellie Goulding/Big Sean - Easy Lover: The best debut this week. She has made her return on there after a few years off of making new music. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's definitely a step up from Hate Me. With my opinion, the production here was so phenomenal, Ellie's vocals were super phenomenal, it has super nicely-written lyrics, the chorus was so heavenly, and Big Sean's rapping in his verse was so phenomenal. Hopefully it'll do well on there.
Yung Gravy - Betty (Get Money): What I've noticed about this song is that it actually samples Rick Astley's 1987 hit single Never Gonna Give You Up, which was actually super amazing. But I gotta say, this is just a decent song. There isn't really anything interesting to say about it. Though the production and samples both sound super amazing, but Yung Gravy's vocals do not sound good here. But the chorus was decent and I still don't mind the lyrics because they're still super nicely-written. But this is decent overall. Let's see how this one does on there.
Steve Lacy - Bad Habit: He has made his first ever appearance on there. Now, before this song, I've actually listened to his song Dark Red on Alt Nation during Advanced Placement 5 years ago, and that was a song that I enjoyed back then. And now, for this new song, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Dark Red, but it's still phenomenal. For my opinion on this one, the production was super amazing, Steve's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and I really enjoyed the chorus. Let's see how far this one should get on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Doja Cat - Get Into It (Yuh): No, this song does not deserve to drop! But at least it still has a chance to be in the Top 3, so I'm sure hoping that it'll be in there pretty soon and not leave here.
4. Nicky Youre/Dazy - Sunroof: It debuted the Top 5 this week. I'm so pleased to see it in there. And I'm sure that it's going to be in the Top 3 within the next week or so. Hopefully I'm right.
3. Harry Styles - As It Was: I actually did not expect this song to drop, but now that we have another song from him in the Top 3, I'm sure this is going to leave here very soon.
2. Harry Styles - Late Night Talking: It's almost at the top spot! And again I'm 100% sure that it's going to end up at the top spot mainly because it's him. He sure cannot be stopped from becoming so popular.
1. Lizzo - About Damn Time: Holding the top spot for the 6th week in a row. Gosh, this song sure has been doing so phenomenal on there, but I'm sure another song might take over the top spot next week, but let's see if it'll stay in there or not.
