So the month of August is now upon us. And of course I'll be starting my second year of college next month. I'm sure hoping I'll do better than I did last year. #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits (1 of 5 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so pleased that Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) (+12) managed to take the biggest jump into the Top 10 this week. This totally deserves it! Now, hopefully it'll go to the Top 5 soon.

Although I wasn't that thrilled to see Ed Sheeran/Lil Baby - 2step (-7) take the biggest drop, but I do know it's starting to lose airplay on the pop radio charts so it might be the end of it.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

AJR - I Won't: I've been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Way Less Sad, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Jack's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see how this one does on there.

Yung Gravy - Betty (Get Money): This is actually a decent song. There isn't really anything interesting to say about it. Although I actually found out that this song actually samples Rick Astley's 1987 hit single Never Gonna Give You Up which was the best thing, but this is still decent. With my opinion, the production and samples both sound super amazing, but Yung Gravy's vocals do not sound good here. But the chorus was just decent and I don't mind the lyrics here because they're still super nicely-written. But this is decent overall. Let's see how far this one should get on there.

OneRepublic - I Ain't Worried: The best countdown debut this week. They have now made their return on there since Lose Somebody with Kygo last year, and first solo appearance since Wanted back in 2020. And of course I've also been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a super heavenly song and it's definitely the best song that I've ever heard from them. It's definitely a step up from all of their other songs. With my opinion on this song, the production was so heavenly, Ryan's vocals were super heavenly, the lyrics were so heavenly, and the chorus was super heavenly. This is definitely going to end up in my Top 5 Songs of the year. Hopefully it'll do amazing on there.

Lizzo - 2 Be Loved (Am I Ready): Since About Damn Time hit the top spot last week, this song has now made it's debut on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. But definitely not as good as About Damn Time, but it's still amazing. As for my opinion, the production was so amazing, Lizzo's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Hopefully it'll do well on there.

Black Eyed Peas/Shakira/David Guetta - Don't You Worry: The last time those two collaborated was Girl Like Me from last year, and that was a song that I really enjoyed from which you remembered. As far as this new song goes, it's absolutely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Girl Like Me. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, both Will.i.am and Shakira sound super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it'll become a hit on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Shawn Mendes - When You're Gone: No! This does not deserve to drop! But I do know it's about to lose some airplay so I'm sure it's going to be out of here soon.

4. Ava Max - Maybe You're The Problem: I'm pleased to see this song go up. Although I'm not sure if it's going to be in the Top 3, but I'm sure hoping it does.

3. Nicky Youre/Dazy - Sunroof: Well it's dropping. But maybe this song might stay in the Top 3 for a few more weeks longer at the very least. Let's see how long it'll remain in there.

2. Lizzo - About Damn Time: It dropped out of the top spot. But it really did had a nice time there last week. But I'm definitely sure that it's never going to come back to the top spot.

1. Harry Styles - Late Night Talking: I'm so pleased to see this song at the top spot. Gosh, nobody can stop this guy from becoming popular. Now, let's see how long it could hold the spot.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Steve Lacy - Bad Habit

2. Benny Blanco/BTS/Snoop Dogg - Bad Decisions (DEBUT)

3. Havanna Winter - Rain Rain Go Away (DEBUT)

4. Jax - Victoria's Secret

14. Tate McRae - What Would You Do (RE-ENTRY)

15. Rosa Linn - Snap

16. Marshmello/Mae Muller/Trippie Redd - American Psycho

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Benny Blanco/BTS/Snoop Dogg - Bad Decisions: This is such an interesting collaboration. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, the boys from BTS's vocals sound super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, the chorus was so heavenly, and Snoop's rapping in his verse was so heavenly. I'm really hoping that it should be on the countdown soon.

Havanna Winter - Rain Rain Go Away: It actually sounds really similar to La Di Die from last year, but there's no Jxdn this time which was amazing because we don't really need him on there. As far as the song goes, it's also phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Havanna's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and I really stand for the chorus. Here's to hoping that it will be on the countdown soon.

Calvin Harris/Charlie Puth/Shenseea - Obsessed: We now have this song making it's debut on there since Potion has been doing well on the pop radio charts. As for this new song, it's definitely amazing. But definitely not as good as Potion, but it's still amazing. As for my opinion on this song, the production was so amazing, Charlie's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so interesting, the chorus was so phenomenal, and Shenseea's verse was super amazing. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Blackbear/The Used - Toxic Energy: This is actually a full-on pop-punk song which is actually amazing because he fits very nicely in that type of music and not rap/hip-hop like he did in the start of his career. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. For my opinion on this song, the production was so amazing, Blackbear's vocals were super amazing, the guy from The Used's vocals were also super amazing in his contribution, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Mergui - Sucks To Know You (FU): This is just a mediocre song. There isn't really anything here that's interesting to say about it. And plus, it's also not even 2 minutes long which is a bummer. And now, for my opinion on this one, the production is so boring and his voice isn't good either. And the lyrics don't fit very well with the song either and overall it's just not that good. I have it in blue as of right now, but it's close to becoming red than it is in green. Hopefully it doesn't debut the countdown.

DJ Khaled/Drake/Lil Baby - Staying Alive: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. They have now collaborated again after Popstar and Greece back in 2020, and of course those songs were definitely what I really enjoyed back then. And now, as for this song, it's definitely a heavenly song. But definitely not as good as Popstar, but it's still heavenly. With my opinion, the production was super phenomenal, Drake's vocals were so heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, the chorus was super heavenly, and Lil Baby sounded super phenomenal in his verse. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.

Tate McRae - What Would You Do: Wow, I actually did not expect this song to come back on there. But I'm so pleased to see that happen. Hopefully it'll have another chance to be on the countdown soon.
