AT40: Sam Smith (3) Week Of December 17, 2022
So I have officially turned 20 on Sunday. Although I am gonna miss my 10's, but my 20's is actually going to be even more better because next year I'm gonna be starting to gamble at casinos and other stuff. I'm so looking forward to do that. Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so phenomenal. Also, this is the last AT40 of 2022. Gosh, it sure has been a great year for music on there. But yeah, like what I said, the countdown looks so phenomenal this week. We do have an interesting Top 5 this week, and of course I'm gonna get to it later on in this post like what I always do. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 40, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Adele - Easy On Me (2 of 8 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm so pleased to see Meghan Trainor - Made You Look (+9) take the biggest jump into the Top 20. This really deserves it! Now, hopefully it'll go to the Top 10 soon.
I'm not too thrilled to see Elton John/Britney Spears - Hold Me Closer (-11) take the biggest drop. But I do know it has been losing some airplay recently so I'm sure it's going to be out of here soon.
New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:
Ava Max - Million Dollar Baby: The best debut this week. And this was actually one of the songs that was taken from her upcoming album that has unfortunately been delayed until next month, but it's still okay. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song and it's actually a step up from Maybe You're The Problem. With my opinion on this song, the production was super phenomenal, Ava's vocals were pretty heavenly like always, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly. Hopefully this should do amazing on there.
Black Eyed Peas/Annita/El Alfa - Simply The Best: Although it's simply not the best song that I've ever heard from them. But this is still a phenomenal song for me. But definitely not as good as Don't You Worry, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, the BEP members all sound so phenomenal, both Annita's and El Alfa's vocals in their contributions sound super phenomenal, the lyric were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was super phenomenal and so fun. Let's see how far this one should get on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Steve Lacy - Bad Habit: I actually expected this song to be out of the Top 3 this week and now it's out of here. And I'm sure this song is going to leave the Top 5 within the next week or so.
4. David Guetta/Bebe Rexha - I'm Good (Blue): I'm super pleased to see this song move up. And I'm sure hoping that it should go to the Top 3 next week.
3. Nicki Minaj - Super Freaky Girl: I'm still great with this song still in the Top 3, but yeah I don't think it's ever going to hit the top spot in there.
2. Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero: It's almost at the top spot! Although I do know it is the last countdown of the year, so I'm sure hoping that it should be at the top spot in the next countdown.
1. Sam Smith/Kim Petras - Unholy: Holding the top spot for the 3rd week in a row. And this is where it'll be staying for the next 2 weeks since it's the last AT40 of the year. It really has been a great year for music on there and I'm really looking forward to see what 2023 would look like for music. Hopefully it'll be another amazing year for it.
