#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Glass Animals - Heat Waves (1 of 2 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm so pleased to see SZA - Kill Bill (+19) taking a huge biggest jump into the Top 20. This totally deserves it! Now, hopefully it'll be in the Top 10 soon.
Though Tate McRae - Uh Oh (-14) has been losing lots of airplay recently, it has managed to take the biggest drop this week. And I'm sure that it's going to be out of here within the next week or so.
New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:
Beach Weather - Sex, Drugs, Etc.: I really have no idea what's going on with this song, but my gosh this song was horrible and egregious. And the song was also released in 2016 as well. And as you remembered in my Bottom 10 Songs Of 2022 post, this song landed at #3 on this list, meaning that the song is my third least favorite of the year. And I've also explained why it's horrible and egregious. The production was so horrible and egregious, there's strange effects across the whole song, the vocals were awful, the lyrics were so terrible, and the chorus was so grating. Hopefully this doesn't do too well on there.
SZA - Nobody Gets Me: This song has now joined Kill Bill on there, which was actually so amazing. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely another amazing song. But definitely not as good as Kill Bill, but it's still amazing. With my opinion on this one, the production was so amazing, SZA's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if this should also do well on there.
Raye/070 Shake - Escapism: She has finally made her first appearance on there this week. And of course the song has been out for a few months but it seems like that it's gone viral on TikTok or something. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Raye's vocals were so phenomenal, I'm definitely a huge fan of the lyrics, the chorus was super phenomenal, and 070 Shake's rapping in his verse was actually so phenomenal. Let's see how this one does on there.
Miley Cyrus - Flowers: The best debut this week. So she has put out a new album a few weeks ago from her upcoming album which I think is so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Lauren Spencer-Smith's song from last year with the same title, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Miley's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Nicki Minaj - Super Freaky Girl: Yeah, this song really loves being in the Top 5 on there. But again it might be out of here within the next week or so.
4. The Weeknd - Die For You: Gosh, I've been waiting for weeks for this song to get to the Top 3. However, this might not be in there at all, but I'm sure hoping that it does.
3. Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero: It dropped back out of the top spot. I actually thought that it was still going to be in there this week, but it's not. But I'm sure it'll come back in there again soon.
2. Sam Smith/Kim Petras - Unholy: I'm still cool with this song moving back up. And I'm sure it's going to stay in the Top 3 for a little while longer at the very least. Let's see how long it'll remain in there.
1. David Guetta/Bebe Rexha - I'm Good (Blue): I'm super pleased to see this song at the top spot. This totally deserves to be in it! And this was actually my #1 song of last year, so I really feel proud of myself. Hopefully this should stay in there for a few more weeks longer at the very least. Let's see how long it could hold the spot.
