Taylor Swift (10) Week Of January 21, 2023

As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it still looks amazing, but we did get rid of 2 songs that were in my Top 10 Songs of last year, and of course they will forever be missed. However, it has been a new year, and we still need to find some new songs from this year that will make this list. Hopefully we should find some before the year is over. Ed Sheeran - Shivers (14th and final week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so pleased to see Sabrina Carpenter - Nonsense and SZA - Nobody Gets Me (+7) gain lots of airplay this week. What a big week for them!

I'm not really that thrilled to see AJR - World's Smallest Violin (-11) take the biggest drop, but I'm sure it's going to be out of here very soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Coi Leray/DJ Smallz 732 - Players: This is actually the remix of it that they actually played on there. Though I could say that I actually liked the original one better than this version, but this is still an amazing song. With my opinion, DJ Smallz 732's production was so amazing, Coi's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see how far this one should get on there.

Sam Smith/Jessie Reyez/Koffee - Gimme: Although this wasn't actually the first time they collaborated, because the first time they collaborated was back when Calvin Harris had that song Promises in 2018, and Jessie only had backing vocals saying "tonight" in it. She was also on those 2 songs from that Eminem album back in 2018, and those were both songs that I actually enjoyed and Hits 1 should've picked up one of them back then. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Promises. With my opinion on this one, the production was super amazing, both Sam and Koffee's vocals were so phenomenal, Jessie's vocals were pretty phenomenal and all she contributes in it was saying the word "gimme" 28 times in the chorus, which I think is super phenomenal. And the lyrics were super interesting. But yeah, overall it's such a phenomenal song for me to listen to. Let's see if this should do well on there.

Mimi Webb - Red Flags: The best countdown debut this week. This is absolutely another heavenly song and it's actually a step up from House On Fire. With my opinion on this song, the production was super phenomenal, Mimi's vocals were so heavenly, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was super heavenly. So yeah, this is such another heavenly song overall. Gosh, she sure has been such a very talented singer. Let's see how far this one should get on there.

Miley Cyrus - Flowers: She actually put out a new song last week from her upcoming album which I think is so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Lauren Spencer-Smith's song from last year with the same title, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Miley's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this one does on there.

The Weeknd - Die For You: This song was actually released in 2016, which was actually 7 years late to be on there. But this song was actually a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Out Of Time. I've gone through my opinion on this song before back when it debuted the AT40. The production was so phenomenal, Abel's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly and I really fell in love with it. Lt's see if this should become a hit on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Meghan Trainor - Made You Look: Well it's dropping. And I'm sure that it's definitely going to be out of the Top 5 next week. But it still had a nice run in there.

4. Lewis Capaldi - Forget Me: It's so nice to see this song come back up. I actually thought it was going to be out of the Top 5 this week but thank goodness it didn't.

3. David Guetta/Bebe Rexha - I'm Good (Blue): I'm so pleased to see this song come back to the Top 3, but I'm sure that it might be it's last week in the Top 3 and then it's going to be on it's way out of here.

2. Lil Nas X - Star Walkin': I'm still fine with this song holding this spot. But I'm sure it's going to be on it's way out of here very soon.

1. Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero: Holding the top spot for the 10th week in a row. 4 more weeks left until this song ties the record. Gosh, this song sure has been doing so heavenly on there. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Gracie Abrams - Where Do We Go Now

2. The Kid Laroi - I Can't Go Back To The Way It Was (Intro) (DEBUT)

16. Lonnie - One Night Stand

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

The Kid Laroi - I Can't Go Back To The Way It Was (Intro): So he has dropped what seems to be the intro track of his next album which hasn't had a release date yet hence the parenthesis in the title. As far as the song goes, it's actually a decent song. Though not as decent as Thousand Miles, but it's still decent. With my opinion, the production was actually so outstanding, but again Laroi's vocals actually don't sound good here. He's just not a good singer in my opinion except on Stay. And I think the chorus was decent and I really don't mind the lyrics here, because I think they're still so nice. But this is decent overall. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Kim Petras - Brrr: We've now picked up a new single from her after If Jesus Was A Rockstar dropped out of here a few months ago. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from If Jesus Was A Rockstar. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Kim's vocals were super phenomenal, I'm definitely a huge fan of the lyrics, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

The 1975 - I'm In Love With You: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. I've been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so heavenly, Matt Healy's vocals were super heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly. This is definitely going to end up in my Top 10 Songs of the year when it debuts the countdown. I'm sure hoping that it'll do it soon.

All Time Low - Tell Me I'm Alive: I've also been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation as well. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely another amazing song and it's actually a little bit of a step up from Sleepwalking. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Alex's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Here's to hoping that it should be on the countdown soon.

McKenna Grace - Ugly Crier: I've actually known her before this song because I know she's been having a successful acting career in movies. And now, here she is making her debut on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, McKenna's vocals were pretty phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. But I'm not sure if it's actually going to be on the countdown, but let's see if it does soon.

Fall Out Boy - Love From The Other Side: They've finally made their return on there after almost 3 years when Bob Dylan was there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Bob Dylan. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Patrick's vocals were super phenomenal, I'm definitely a huge fan of the lyrics, and the chorus was so heavenly. I'm sure hoping that it should be on the countdown soon.

Casey Bishop - Blurry Vision: This is absolutely another phenomenal song. Gosh, Hits 1 must've been picking up lots of brand new artists lately. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Casey's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Although I'm not sure if it'll actually be on the countdown since she's new, but I'm sure hoping that it does soon.
