Taylor Swift (9) Week Of January 14, 2023

As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it still looks great, although we did get another trashy song on there which isn't a good thing. But we do have another interesting Top 3 this week. But I'm gonna get to that later on in this post like what I always do. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Ed Sheeran - Shivers (13 of 14 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm super glad to see Metro Boomin/The Weeknd/21 Savage - Creepin' (+8) take the biggest jump to the Top 15 this week. What a week for them!

Although OneRepublic - I Ain't Worried (-6) sure has been losing lots and lots of airplay recently. Even though I wasn't that thrilled to see it take the biggest drop, it's still about to be out of here very soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Joji - Die For You: I really have on idea what's going on with this song, but my gosh this song is so garbage. Although this one wasn't as bad as Glimpse Of Us, but it's still garbage. For my opinion, the production was so boring, Joji's vocals were awful, I'm not really huge on the lyrics, and my gosh that chorus was just garbage. But yeah, this is definitely not a good song overall. I'm sure hoping this doesn't do too well on there.

SZA - Kill Bill: The best countdown debut this week. And this song has also joined Nobody Gets Me on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Nobody Gets Me. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, SZA's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should do amazing on there.

Raye/070 Shake - Escapism: So this song has been out for a few months but it seems like that it's gone viral on TikTok or something. And I've actually known about her since 2019 in case you don't know. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Raye's vocals were so phenomenal, I'm definitely a huge fan of the lyrics, the chorus was super phenomenal, and 070 Shake's rapping in his verse was actually so phenomenal. Let's see how this one does on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Lewis Capaldi - Forget Me: I have a feeling that this song might be out of the Top 5 within the next week or so since it's dropping. But maybe one more week in there and then it'll be out of here.

4. David Guetta/Bebe Rexha - I'm Good (Blue): It dropped out of the Top 3. But it still had an amazing run in there. But I'm sure that it's going to be out of the Top 5 very soon.

3. Meghan Trainor - Made You Look: Wow, I did not expect this song to be in the Top 5. But I'm so pleased to see it do that. However, I don't think it's ever going to be at the top spot, but maybe it might stay in there for a few more weeks longer.

2. Lil Nas X - Star Walkin': I'm still fine with this song remaining at this spot. But still I don't think it's ever going to be at the top spot mainly because of what's currently happening on there.

1. Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero: Holding the top spot for the 9th week in a row. And now this song is down to 5 more weeks to tie the record. Gosh, this song sure has been doing super phenomenal on there. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Tiesto/Tate McRae - 10:35

2. Miley Cyrus - Flowers (DEBUT)

16. Loud Luxury/Kiddo - These Nights

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Miley Cyrus - Flowers: She actually has put out this song this week from her upcoming album which I think is so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Lauren Spencer-Smith's song with the same title from last year, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Miley's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Diplo/Kodak Black/Koe Wetzel - Wasted: What the heck? Why do we have Kodak on Hits 1? That's so not cool. But at least they didn't pick up Super Gremlin thank goodness, because that was my worst song of last year. But this song is also garbage and probably Diplo's worst song ever. As for my opinion, the production was so awful, Kodak's vocals were absolutely grating in the hook, the lyrics were definitely a huge mess, and the chorus was so terrible. Though Koe's vocals don't sound bad in the verses, so I'll still give credit to that. But this is still a garbage song overall. This is definitely going to end up in my Bottom 10 Songs of the year when it makes the countdown. Even if it doesn't, it will still count. Hopefully this doesn't go to the countdown.

Sam Smith/Jessie Reyez/Koffee - Gimme: Although this wasn't actually the first time they collaborated, because if you remember back in 2018, Calvin Harris collaborated with them on his song Promises, and Jessie only has backing vocals saying "tonight" in it. She was also on those 2 songs from that Eminem album back in 2018, and those were both songs that I actually enjoyed and Hits 1 should've picked up one of them back then. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Promises. With my opinion on this one, the production was super amazing, both Sam and Koffee's vocals were so phenomenal, Jessie's vocals were pretty phenomenal and all she contributes in it was saying the word "gimme" 28 times in the chorus, which I think is super phenomenal. And the lyrics were super interesting. But yeah, overall it's such a phenomenal song for me to listen to. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Lonnie - One Night Stand: This is absolutely an outstanding song. With my opinion on this one, the production was so outstanding, Lonnie's vocals were super outstanding and he actually sounds like a mix of Bazzi, which I think is so interesting. But other than that, the lyrics were so nice, and the chorus was so amazing. But yeah, such an outstanding song overall. But I'm not sure if it'll be on the countdown though, but let's see if it does soon.

Mimi Webb - Red Flags: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. This is absolutely another heavenly song and it's actually a step up from House On Fire. With my opinion on this song, the production was super phenomenal, Mimi's vocals were so heavenly, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was super heavenly. So yeah, this is absolutely another heavenly song overall. Let's see if this should make the countdown soon.

Gracie Abrams - Where Do We Go Now: I've actually known her because she opened up for Olivia Rodrigo's tour last year and this year she's going to open up for Taylor Swift's upcoming tour, which I think is so amazing. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Gracie's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should be on the countdown soon.

Owl City - Kelly Time: This was actually their first song on Hits 1 after like 10 years since Good Time became a hit. He also brought us Fireflies back in 2009, and that was also a hit back then. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another amazing song. But definitely not as good as Good Time, but it's still amazing. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, his vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Maneskin/Tom Morello - Gossip: This is absolutely another amazing song. But definitely not as good as Supermodel, but it's still amazing. With my opinion on this one, the production and instrumentation both sound so amazing, Damiano's vocals were super amazing, Tom's vocals were also super amazing in his contribution, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

PinkPantheress - Boy's A Liar: This is absolutely another phenomenal song. Although this wasn't as good as Where You Are, but this is still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, PinkPantheress's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was super phenomenal. But I don't think it's ever going to be on the countdown because I know it's her. She has a lot of Hit Bound dropouts recently. But let's see if it'll do it soon.

P!nk - Never Gonna Not Dance Again: I'm so glad to see this song come back on there. This totally deserves it! Now, let's see if this should have another chance to be on the countdown soon.
