AT40: Rema (1) Week Of May 20, 2023

As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so interesting. We do have yet another brand new #1 song on there, which was always a nice thing to see, but unfortunately we got rid of a song that was going to be in my top songs of the year, and it will forever be missed. But we do have some more interesting debuts, but I'm gonna get to them later on in this post like what I always do. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Imagine Dragons - Enemy (2nd and final week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so pleased to see The Weeknd/Future - Double Fantasy (+16) take the biggest jump to the Top 20. This really deserves it! What a big week for them! And I'm sure hoping it should go to the Top 10 soon.

The Kid Laroi - Love Again and Lizzo/SZA - Special (-16) were tied for the biggest drop this week as they were both losing some airplay recently. And I'm sure they're going to be out of here very soon.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

Kim Petras/Nicki Minaj - Alone: This is absolutely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Brrr, but it's still phenomenal. With  my opinion on this one, the production was super amazing, Kim's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, the chorus was super phenomenal, and Nicki's rapping in her verse was super phenomenal. Though I'm not sure if this should do well on there since it dropped out of Hit Bound a few weeks ago, but let's see how far this one gets on there.

Charlie Puth/Dan + Shay - That's Not How This Works: I've noticed that this song was actually not a pop-country song, even though he collaborated with a country duo. But as far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. With my opinion on this one, the production was so amazing, both Charlie and Dan sound super amazing and they actually have great chemistry, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if this should do well on there.

Lizzy McAlpine - Ceilings: I've actually known her before this song because I've actually listened to some of her other songs and I thought they were so amazing. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Lizzy's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this goes on there.

Taylor Swift - Karma: The best debut this week. And this song has now made it's debut on there after All Of The Girls You Loved Before left this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from All Of The Girls You Loved Before. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Taylor's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Metro Boomin/The Weeknd/21 Savage - Creepin': Well it's about to be out of the Top 5 since it's dropping. But it still had a nice time in there.

4. SZA - Kill Bill: It dropped out of the Top 3. But it still had a phenomenal time in there as it spent a couple weeks at the top spot. But I'm sure this is going to be out of the Top 5 pretty soon.

3. Miguel - Sure Thing: I'm so pleased to see this song in the Top 3. But I'm not sure if it'll actually go to the top spot. I don't think he's ever had #1 songs on there. But let's see if this should be his first.

2. Miley Cyrus - Flowers: It dropped out of the top spot once again. But it still had a nice time back in there for a couple weeks. And I'm sure this is going to stay in the Top 3 for a while because of how well it did. Let's see how long it'll remain in there.

1. Rema/Selena Gomez - Calm Down: I'm so pleased to see this song at the top spot. This is now his first ever #1 song on there, and that was always an amazing thing to see. Now, let's see how long it could hold the spot.
