Once again I sure hope everyone's been having a great Mother's Day weekend. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so heavenly. And we also have some more interesting debuts, but I'm gonna get to them later on in this post like what I always do. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Harry Styles - As It Was (1 of 8 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm super pleased to see David Guetta/Anne-Marie/Coi Leray - Baby Don't Hurt Me (+12) take the biggest jump. This totally deserves it! And I'm sure hoping it'll go to the Top 10 very soon.
I'm not too thrilled about Lizzy McAlpine - Ceilings and PinkPantheress/Ice Spice - Boy's A Liar (-6) both taking the biggest drop. I don't know why they would do that. But I'm sure they're going to be out of here soon.
New Song/s on the countdown this week are:
Luke Combs - Fast Car: Wow, I totally did not expect him to make his debut on there. And of course I've also been hearing this song a lot on The Highway and it has also been doing super well on the country radio charts recently. And what I've also noticed about this song is that it's actually the cover of the original song from Tracy Chapman back in 1988, which I think is so amazing. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Luke's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this gets on there.
Harry Styles - Satellite: The best countdown debut this week. So this has being pushed as the next single right around the same time Bebe Rexha and Snoop Dogg put out their song called Satellite, but Hits 1 actually picked up Harry's song. As far as this one goes, it's also another phenomenal song. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Harry's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Jonas Brothers - Waffle House: It debuted the Top 5 this week. I'm so pleased to see it in there. This deserves it! And I'm sure hoping it should go to the Top 3 soon.
4. Sabrina Carpenter - Nonsense: I actually expected this song to drop out of the Top 3. But I'm sure this song is going to be out of the Top 5 sometime soon.
3. Fall Out Boy - Love From The Other Side: I'm so pleased to see this song in the Top 3. And I'm sure hoping that it should go to the top spot very soon. They haven't had a #1 song in a while.
2. Niall Horan - Heaven: It dropped out of the top spot. But it still had a nice time in there. But I'm sure this song is going to stay in the Top 3 for a couple more weeks and then it'll be out of here.
1. Latto/Lu Kala - Lottery: I'm super pleased to see this song at the top spot. I totally did not expect it to be in there, but this totally deserves it! And I'd like it to see it stay in this spot for a few more weeks longer. Let's see how long it could hold the spot.
Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:
1. Pitbull/Lil Jon - Jumpin (DEBUT)
2. Ed Sheeran/Luke Combs - Life Goes On
3. Dominic Fike - Dancing In The Courthouse
4. Icandy - Keep Dat
5. Jack Harlow - They Don't Love It
6. Jason Derulo - Glad U Came
7. Jonas Brothers - Summer Baby (DEBUT)
8. Ice Spice/Nicki Minnaj - Princess Diana
9. Presley Regier - Nevermind
10. Lauren Spencer-Smith/Gayle/Em Beihold - Fantasy
11. Gayle - Don't Call Me Pretty (DEBUT)
12. Bakar - Hell N Back (DEBUT)
13. Lu Kala - Pretty Girl Era
14. Coco Jones - ICU (DEBUT)
15. David Kushner - Daylight
16. Drake - Search And Rescue
New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Pitbull/Lil Jon - Jumpin: What I've noticed about this song is that it also samples an old hit song, this time it's Jump Around from House Of Pain, which I think is so interesting. Gosh, how many songs that sampled old hit songs have we picked up recently? As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Pitbull's rapping in the verses was so phenomenal and he flows very nicely in them, the lyrics were super interesting, and Lil Jon's shouting in the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Jonas Brothers - Summer Baby: Since Waffle House hit the Top 5, we now have this song making it's debut on there. So they've put out a new album last week, and it was actually called The Album, which was weird. I wish it would actually have a name. But this is definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Waffle House, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, both Nick and Joe sound so phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Gayle - Don't Call Me Pretty: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. So she has put out a new single last week, which I think is so amazing to see. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from FMK. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Gayle's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.
Bakar - Hell N Back: This song is actually from 2019, which was 4 years late. But this is still an outstanding song for me. With my opinion, the production was so outstanding, his vocals were super outstanding, the lyrics were very nicely-written, and the chorus was so amazing. But I'm not sure if it'll actually be on the countdown and I don't think it'll ever be as big if a hit on pop radio, but let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Coco Jones - ICU: I've actually known her way before this song was released because I know she starred on the Disney Channel show So Random back in 2011 and 2012. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion on this one, the production was super amazing, Coco's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see if this should make the countdown soon.
