200,000 Pageview Special: 2000's Billboard Hot 100 Decade End List

So my blog has now reached 200,000 pageviews recently. And again I really would like to thank everyone for reading all my posts and I'm super pleased that I made it this far. Gosh, I feel like I'm getting popular right now. As for this very special post, I decided that I wanted to do a review of Billboard's Hot 100 Songs of the 2000's. Now, I've actually done the 2010's back when my blog hit 100,000 pageviews. But this time, it's going to be in the 2000's. It's basically 100 songs from each year of that decade that were so popular and have done super amazing on there that made it on this list. Now again, just like what I did with the Hits 1 Year-End review, I'm gonna go through the list, go over my opinions and thoughts on every song on this list, talk about how well they did on the Hot 100 that year during it's run on there, and do a Top 100 review at the end to see how Billboard did with music that decade. Once again the total score will be 500, which of course I'll be converting so that the score will be out of 100 and I'm going to calculate the percentage to see what grade they did. So without further ado, let's get it started in here! (see what I did there?) Here's the color-coding code for this list:

Purple = Best Song (5 Points)

Dark Blue = Song Is In My Top 5 (5 Points)

Green = Great (5 Points)

Blue = Good (4 Points)

Pink = Decent (3 Points)

Yellow = Mediocre (2 Points)

Turquoise = Bad (1 Point)

Red = Crap (0 Points)

Dark Red = Song Is In My Bottom 5 (0 Points)

Orange = Worst Song (0 Points)

Now, we're ready to get into Billboard's Hot 100 Songs of the 2000's. So, let's get right into it.

#100. Chris Brown - Forever (2008) [5; Great]

This is absolutely an amazing song. I also think the music video for this song is so entertaining because it took place in Los Angeles during the two-day shooting and I've noticed that the music video was placed at #55 on the Notarized: Top 100 Videos countdown according to BET, which was actually so cool. With my opinion on this song, the production was so amazing, Chris's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so phenomenal and I really fell in love with it. The song has peaked at #2 during it's run in there which was amazing. Such an amazing song overall and I'm pleased to see this song making this list.

#99. Beyonce - Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) (2008) [5; Great]

What I've noticed about this song is that it was actually released as a single as a double-A side alongside If I Were A Boy as the lead singles according to Columbia Records, which I think is super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another amazing and fun song. For my opinion, the production was so amazing and fun, Beyonce's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. It has hit #1 a total of 4 weeks on there during it's run, 3 weeks in 2008 and 1 week in 2009, which was actually super amazing. But yeah, this is such an amazing song overall and I'm pleased to see this song on this list.

#98. Aaliyah/Timbaland - Try Again (2000) [5; Great]

Of course we all remember her death. She died from a plane crash back in 2001, which was so sad. And of course we will always remember her like always. As far as this song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. And I've also noticed that the intro from this song contains an interpolation from Eric B. & Rakim's 1987 song I Know You Got Soul, which was actually super interesting. But let's get to my opinion. Timbaland's production was so phenomenal, Aaliyah's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. It has hit #1 on there for 1 week during it's run, which was super cool. So yeah, phenomenal song overall and I'm pleased to see this song making this list.

#97. Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah (2007) [5; Great]

This is such an outstanding song. I've also noticed that this song was written by frontman Tom Higgenson after meeting Delilah DiCrescenzo who was a nationality ranked American steeplechase and cross country runner, through a mutual friend around 2002. To me, I think it's so cool for him to write a song about her. And now, here it is on there. With my opinion on this song, the production was so outstanding, the vocals were super outstanding, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so amazing. It has hit #1 on there for 2 weeks during it's run, which was so awesome. It's such an outstanding song overall and I'm glad to see this song making this list.

#96. Missy Elliott - Work It (2002) [3; Decent]

Yes, this is just a decent song for me. Though Timbaland also produced this song which was so interesting, but this is still decent. And what I've noticed about this song is that it samples Run-DMC's Peter Piper and Rock Master Scott & the Dynamic Three's Request Line which was interesting. But let's get to my opinion. I'm not really huge on the production here and I don't really like the "ra-ta-ta-ta" and the elephant noises in the chorus, but Missy's vocals still sound amazing here and I don't mind the lyrics because I think they're still interesting. It has peaked at #2 during it's run in there, which I'm okay with. So yeah, this is a decent song overall and I'm fine with this song on there.

#95. Eve/Gwen Stefani - Let Me Blow Ya Mind (2001) [5; Great]

Though this is not the only time that they've collaborated, but they also collaborated on Rich Girl back in 2005, which I think is an amazing song for me. But I would actually say that this song is actually better than Rich Girl, because it is another phenomenal song for me. The song also became Eve's highest-charting single on there (later tied with 2002's "Gangsta Lovin"), which I think is so amazing. With my opinion on this one, the production was super amazing, Eve's rapping was so phenomenal and she flows very nicely here, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and Gwen's vocals in the chorus were super phenomenal. It has peaked at #2 during it's run in there, which I'm cool with that. So yeah, overall it's such a phenomenal song and I'm pleased to see this song in there.

#94. Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend (2007) [5; Great]

This has got to be the best song that I've ever heard from her. In fact, this was actually my #1 song of 2007 in case you don't know. And I've also noticed that this song was produced by Dr. Luke, which I think is super amazing because to me he's such a talented producer. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was super heavenly, Avril's vocals were extremely heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. It has peaked at #1 for 1 week during it's run in there, and of course I was super pleased to see it do that. But yeah, overall it's such a heavenly song and I'm super pleased to see it in there.

#93. Chris Brown/T-Pain - Kiss Kiss (2007) [5; Great]

This is absolutely another amazing song. I've also noticed that the two artists wrote this song and T-Pain also produced it, which I think is so interesting. And the music video for this song was also directed by him alongside Erik White, who also directed the music video for his last #1 single Run It, which I'm gonna get to later on. That was also another interesting fact that I found about it. With my opinion on this one, the production was super outstanding, both Chris and T-Pain sound so amazing, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was super amazing. It has hit #1 for 3 weeks on there during it's run, and that I was super glad to see. Such an amazing song overall and I'm super glad that this song has managed to be on there.

#92. P!nk - So What (2008) [5; Great]

This is such another amazing song and this was actually the lead single off of her album Funhouse, which was so interesting. And what I've also noticed about this song is that the lyrics are based on her separation from freestyle motocross rider Carey Hart, which occurred six months prior to release. To me, I think it was so interesting. But let's get to my opinion on this song. The production was so amazing, P!nk's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal and so fun. It has hit #1 on there for 1 week during it's run, and that I was so pleased to see. It's such an amazing song overall and it really deserves to be in there.

#91. Kanye West - Stronger (2007) [5; Great]

What I've noticed about the song is that he and Daft Punk wrote it and they were credited as co-writers due to their work being sampled, while Edwin Birdsong also received a credit from a master use of "Cola Bottle Baby" and Kanye decided to sample "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" after first hearing the duo's work when touring in 2006, and then he made the beat and spent months re-writing his verses. To me, I think this is a super interesting fact about it. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal and fun song. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Kanye's vocals were super phenomenal especially in his rapping, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. It has also spent 1 week at #1 on there during it's run, and that I was so pleased to see. But yeah, this is such a phenomenal and fun song overall and I'm pleased to see it in there.

#90. Usher - U Remind Me (2001) [4; Good]

Yes, this is just a good song for me and not really that great. I've also noticed that this song is about a man who meets a woman who seems like a nice catch, but he decided not to enter a relationship with her because she looks too much like an ex-girlfriend with whom he had a bad breakup, which I think is a cool fact. But let's get to my opinion. The production here sounded good but not the best, but Usher's vocals still sound amazing here and the chorus still sounds good. And the lyrics were still nicely-written, so I'll still give credit to them. It has spent 7 weeks at #1 on there during it's run, and I'm actually good with that. So yeah, overall it's good but not great for me and I'm cool with this song in there.

#89. Nickelback - Photograph (2006) [5; Great]

What's interesting about this song is that lead singer Chad Kroeger said the photograph he holds up in the music video of himself and his friend Joey Moi with a champagne chiller on Joey's head is the same one he referred to in the lyrics. To me, I think that is super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was super amazing, Chad's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. It has peaked at #2 on there during it's run, which I'm actually cool with. So yeah, this is such a phenomenal song overall and I'm pleased to see this song in there.

#88. Beyonce/Slim Thug - Check On It (2005) [2; Mediocre]

Yeah this is just a mediocre song for me. There really isn't anything interesting to say about it. I've also noticed that the song was served as the main theme of the 2006 film The Pink Panther, in which she co-starred as Xania, and it was supposed to be featured on the film's soundtrack but it wasn't. But let's get to my opinion on this song. I actually hate the production here because it sounds horrible, but Beyonce's vocals still sound great here and the chorus was okay. But Slim Thug's vocals were so awful in his verse. But I don't really mind the lyrics here because I think they're still interesting. It has spent 5 weeks at #1 on there during it's run, which I'm okay with. So yeah, this is mediocre overall and I'm okay with this song in there.

#87. Ludacris/Shawnna - Stand Up (2003) [5; Great]

Those two have collaborated a lot in some of his singles, and this song was one of them. And I've also noticed that Kanye West actually produced this song which was interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing and fun song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so amazing and fun, Ludacris's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal and super fun and I really love the backing vocals saying "just like that" in it. This was also his first song to peak atop the Billboard Hot 100 as it remained on the chart for 28 weeks, which I think is so amazing. Such a fun song overall and I'm glad to see it in there.

#86. James Blunt - You're Beautiful (2005) [5; Great]

What I've noticed about this song is that there's newspapers that have claimed that the song was about a former girlfriend of his, Dixie Chassay, casting assistant for the Harry Potter films, although he refuses to confirm or deny this. To me, I think that was so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an outstanding song. With my opinion on this one, the production was so outstanding, James's vocals were super outstanding, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so amazing. It has spent 1 week at #1 on there back in 2006, which was actually super awesome. But yeah, this is such an outstanding song overall and I'm glad to see this song on this list.

#85. Usher/Young Jeezy - Love In This Club (2008) [5; Great]

This was actually the lead single off of his fifth studio album, Here I Stand, which I thought it was super interesting. And I've also noticed that the song was produced by Atlanta-based music producer Polow da Don, as he was inspired to create a beat during his weekend stay in Las Vegas for the MTV Music Video Awards, and he did. He produced a Las Vegas-inspired synth-driven beat to the song, which is basically everything in the beat that has a Las Vegas feel to it. In fact, I've actually never been to Las Vegas before. Although I'm not 21 yet, but sometime when I'm 21 I'd like to go because it would be fun and they have lots of casinos there and maybe I'd like to gamble and start drinking some beer and some more alcoholic drinks there. But let's not talk about it and let's get to my opinion on this song. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song and this was actually the best song that I've ever heard from him. It's definitely way better than all of his other songs. With my opinion on this song, the production was so heavenly, Usher's vocals were super heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, the chorus was extremely heavenly, and Young Jeezy's rapping in his verse was so heavenly. It has spent 3 weeks at #1 on there during it's run, which was super amazing. So yeah, this is such a heavenly song overall. Definitely one of my favorite songs from 2008 and I'm super pleased to see this song in there.

#84. Black Eyed Peas - My Humps (2005) [4; Good]

I've noticed that the song was originally written by will.i.am for the American girl group the Pussycat Dolls, which was so interesting. But one weird thing about the song is that it's lyrics center on Fergie using her breasts and buttocks to accomplish her goals which I think is so weird. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a good song, but not great. For my opinion, the production doesn't actually sound good here, but will.i.am and Fergie's vocals still sound super amazing here and I don't really mind the lyrics here and the chorus still sounds awesome. It has peaked at #3 on there during it's run, which I'm fine with. But yeah, this is just a good song overall and I'm cool with this song in there.

#83. Avril Lavigne - Complicated (2002) [5; Great]

This was actually her debut single from her debut album Let Go, which I think was so amazing. And according to her, the song is about being honest with oneself rather than "putting on a face". To me, I think that's an interesting thing about it. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Girlfriend or Sk8er Boi, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Avril's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. It peaked at #2 on there during it's run, so that's off to a great start for her in her career. So yeah, this is absolutely a phenomenal song overall and I'm pleased to see this song in there.

#82. Ja Rule/Ashanti - Always On Time (2001) [2; Mediocre]

Yeah I don't really like Ja Rule because he doesn't have a good voice. Although this is just a mediocre song in my opinion. There really isn't anything interesting about it. I've also noticed that the song was also produced by Irv Gotti, who also produced in their other collaboration Mesmerize, which I actually prefer over this one. But let's get to my opinion on this one. The production here doesn't actually sound good and Ja Rule's vocals were awful. But I really love Ashanti's vocals. I think she sounds pretty amazing here. Though the chorus sounds okay and I think the lyrics were still nicely-written. It has spent 2 weeks at #1 on there back in 2002, which I'm okay with. So yeah, overall this is mediocre and I'm okay with this song in there.

#81. Shaggy/RikRok - It Wasn't Me (2000) [5; Great]

One thing that I found interesting about the song is that the song's lyrics depict one man asking his friend what to do after his girlfriend caught him cheating on her with "the girl next door" and his friend and Shaggy's character's advice is to deny everything, despite clear evidence to the contrary, with the phrase "it wasn't me", hence the title of the song. I think this is so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Shaggy's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was super phenomenal. It spent 2 weeks at #1 on there back in 2001, which I'm actually cool with. It's such a phenomenal song overall and I'm pleased to see it on there.

#80. Flo Rida/Kesha - Right Round (2009) [5; Great]

I've noticed that this song actually samples the Dead or Alive song You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) from the 1980's in the chorus, which I think is super amazing. In fact, this was actually my #1 song of 2009 because of that in case you don't know. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely a heavenly song and this was definitely his best song ever. It's way better than all of his other songs. With my opinion on this song, the production was so heavenly, both Flo Rida and Kesha sound super heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. It spent 6 weeks at #1 on there during it's run, and I'm super pleased about that. So yeah, overall it's such a heavenly song and I'm super pleased to see this song on this list.

#79. Colbie Caillat - Bubbly (2007) [5; Great]

Of course this was her debut single. And I've noticed that this was the only song from her to peak within the Top 10 on here and it remains as her highest-charting song. I think that was so amazing for this song to do that, although I know it should've ranked higher than that, but it's still amazing to see that. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. But definitely not as good as Realize or Fallin' For You, but it's still amazing. With my opinion on this one, the production was so amazing, Colbie's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. It peaked at #5 on there during it's run, and I'm actually cool with it. It's such an amazing song overall and I'm pleased to see this song making this list.

#78. Matchbox Twenty - Bent (2000) [5; Great]

One thing I've noticed about this song is that it's actually the lead single off of their second album Mad Season, which was cool. And this was the only song was the band's first and only song to top the Hot 100, which I think was so interesting. Although I know they should've had more #1 singles than this one because I know they have more hits in the 90's, but oh well. Let's get right into the song. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Rob Thomas's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. It spent 1 week at #1 on there during it's run which I'm happy with. This is such a phenomenal song overall and I'm pleased to see it in there.

#77. Sara Bareilles - Love Song (2007) [5; Great]

This was actually her debut single. I've also noticed that the song was nominated at the 2009 Grammy Awards in the categories Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. To me, I think it's super nice to see this song get nominated in those categories during that. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Sara's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly and I really fell in love with it. It peaked at #4 on there during it's run, which I'm glad to see. It's such a phenomenal song overall and I'm so pleased to see this song on this list.

#76. Akon/Eminem - Smack That (2006) [0; Crap]

I really have no idea what's going on with this song, but my gosh this song was so awful. I know this actually features one of my favorite rappers, but it's still not good. I've also noticed that the song was released as the first single from Konvicted, but I think that's the only thing I've found interesting about the song. There's nothing else interesting about it. It's absolutely a garbage song. With my opinion, the production was so awful, Akon's vocals don't sound good here, the lyrics were a huge mess, and the chorus was total garbage. Although Eminem sounded okay in his verse, so I'll give credit to him. But this is still an awful song. It peaked at #2 on there during it's run, but thank goodness it didn't go to the top spot. But this is an awful song overall and this does not deserve to be in there. NEXT!

#75. Joe - I Wanna Know (2000) [2; Mediocre]

Yes, this is another mediocre song for me. I've also noticed that the song also appeared on the soundtrack of the film The Wood, which I think is so interesting. And according to the song's co-producer Edwin "Tony" Nicholas, it was originally intended for his previous album All That I Am, but he removed the song from the final track listing due to taking issues with the label hands waiting to be involved in the creative process. I think that was so interesting. But like what I said, this song is mediocre. There really isn't anything interesting to say about it. With my opinion on this song, the production doesn't sound good here, but Joe's vocals sound okay but definitely not the best. And the chorus sounded fine and I don't really mind the lyrics because I think they're still very nicely-written. But this is mediocre overall. It peaked at #4 on there during it's run, which I'm okay with. But yeah, this is mediocre overall and I'm okay with this song being on there.

#74. R. Kelly - Ignition (2002) [5; Great]

This is such a fun song. I've also noticed that the original version of the song was released first to urban contemporary radio stations even though it never officially charted on there in this manner at first. And at the end of the song, he gives the listeners "a lil' preview of the remix", which includes only the first verse then fades out. I think that was super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing and fun song. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, R. Kelly's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal and super fun. It peaked at #2 on there during it's run, and I'm cool with it. So yeah, this is such an amazing and fun song overall and I'm pleased that it managed to be in there.

#73. Taylor Swift - Love Story (2008) [5; Great]

Of course you remembered when I reviewed this song before but the Taylor's Version of the song a few years ago. It's definitely an amazing song. Though definitely not as good as the Taylor's Version of it, but it's still amazing. And this was also the lead single off of Fearless of course. And I've noticed that she wrote this song using William Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet as a reference point inspired by a boy who was unpopular with her family and friends. To me, that was quite an interesting fact about this song. Now, let's get to my opinion. The production was so amazing, Taylor's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was absolutely phenomenal. It peaked at #4 on there during it's run, which I'm actually cool with. But yeah, amazing song overall and I'm pleased to see this song in there.

#72. Chingy - Right Thurr (2003) [0; Crap]

Yeah I don't really like him either. He doesn't have a good voice. And this was also his debut single and the lead single off of his debut album, which it shouldn't have been. And I've noticed that the music video takes place at his birthplace in St. Louis, which was actually one thing that I've found interesting about it. But still, this song was not good. It's such a garbage song. With my opinion, the production here sounded so bad, Chingy's vocals do not sound good here at all, the lyrics were so weird, and the chorus was so garbage. It has peaked at #2 on there and remained in there for 5 non-consecutive weeks, but thank goodness it didn't hit the top spot on there. But still, this is not a good song overall and I really have no idea why it's in there. Let's just move on.

#71. T-Pain/Yung Joc - Buy U A Drank (2007) [0; Crap]

This is absolutely another garbage song. It is also drenched in auto-tone which I really hate. And this was also the lead single off of Epiphany which of course shouldn't have been. And I've also noticed that he said during a USA Today interview that this song was "the first record where I was trying to make a hit song. I was going into the studio consciously like, 'What do people like talking about? They like drinking and they like drinking with girls. What do you say to a girl to get her a drink?". To me, I think I have to say that I don't agree with anything he said in the interview because of course this song was horrible and total garbage. With my opinion, the production sounded so horrible, T-Pain's vocals were awful and Yung Joc's vocals were also awful in his contribution, the lyrics were so bad, and the chorus was absolutely total garbage. It has spent 1 week at #1 on there during it's run, which I wasn't very happy to see. So yeah, overall it's a horrible and garbage song and I really have no idea why it would be on there. NEXT!

#70. Lil Jon/East Side Boyz/YingYang Twins - Get Low (2003) [5; Great]

This is actually a much better song. There's also three different radio edits of the song that have been released. One had amended lyrics (i.e. "take that thang to the floor, you skank, you skank"), while the other two bleeped out certain profanities. Of the two bleep censored versions, one version left the word "goddamn" intact while the other censored the word. And in the clean version of the song, the word "skeet" is said six times in the original place of "motherfucker" and the word "goddamn" is shortened to "got". And the song vulgarly popularized the word "skeet" in African-American Vernacular English (to ejaculate). I think that was super interesting for them to do that. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely a phenomenal and fun song. With my opinion on this song, the production was super amazing, Lil Jon's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was super phenomenal and so fun. It has peaked at #2 on there during it's run, which I'm actually cool with. But yeah, this was such a phenomenal song overall and I'm pleased to see this song on there.

#69. Katy Perry - Hot N Cold (2008) [5; Great]

It's such another phenomenal song. What I've found interesting about this song is that it's lyrics address an unstable romantic relationship caused by a partner's mood swings and it's music video features her as a bride who is about to marry her fiance, who experienced a daydream in which she pursues him after he flees from the wedding. To me, I think that is such a super interesting fact about the song. But now, let's get to my opinion. The production was so phenomenal and fun, Katy's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. It peaked at #3 on there during it's run, which I'm actually good with. So yeah, phenomenal song overall and I'm pleased with it in there.

#68. 3 Doors Down - Here Without You (2003) [5; Great]

One thing I've found interesting about this song is that Brad Arnold stated that the main inspiration for the song was his now ex-wife as he explained the whole story behind the song. And like the song When I'm Gone, this song was heavily influenced and inspired by Metallica's song The Unforgiven off of their 1991 self-titled album, which was super interesting to me. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. Though definitely not as good as When I'm Gone, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, the vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were very nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. It peaked at #5 on there during it's run, and I'm good with that. But yeah, this is such a phenomenal song overall and I'm glad to see this song on this list.

#67. Matchbox Twenty - Unwell (2003) [5; Great]

What I've noticed about this song is that it's music video predominantly features lead singer Rob Thomas seeing various odd occurrences throughout, all the while singing along to the song. And the other band members only appear in cameos, notably when Thomas boards a subway and they are seen in the background. That was such a super interesting fact to me. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Rob's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. It has peaked at #5 on there during it's run which I'm actually good with. So yeah, this is such a phenomenal song for me to listen to overall and I'm so pleased to see this song on there.

#66. Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl (2008) [5; Great]

This is such another phenomenal song and this was her actually her debut single. And of course one thing I've noticed about this song is that she stated it's lyrics are "about the magical beauty of a woman" and the song sparked controversy for its handling of bi-curious themes, but in retrospect has been credited with increasing LGBT awareness in pop music. I feel like that's such a super interesting fact about it. Now, let's get to my opinion. The production was so phenomenal, Katy's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly. It spent 7 weeks at #1 on there during it's run, which of course I'm so pleased about. That was off to an amazing start for her in her music career. But yeah, overall it's such a phenomenal song for me and I'm super pleased to see this song on there.

#65. Janet Jackson - All For You (2001) [5; Great]

What I've noticed about this song is that it actually samples The Glow Of Love from Change in 1980, which was actually super interesting. And lyrically, the song is about flirting with someone on the dance floor, being a reflection of the singer's state of mind at the time. I feel like that was also interesting about it. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Janet's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. It has also spent 7 weeks at #1 on there during it's run, which of course I'm pleased to see. So yeah, this is such an amazing song overall and I'm pleased to see this song on this list.

#64. Rihanna - Disturbia (2008) [5; Great]

One thing I've noticed about this song is that it's lyrically about the experiences of depression, anxiety, anguish and confusion. And it also received positive reviews from music critics, who generally praised it's dark musical tone, lyrics and beat, and noted that it is reminiscent of her previous single, Don't Stop The Music, which was super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely another phenomenal song. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Rihanna's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. It spent 2 weeks at #1 on there during it's run, which was definitely an amazing thing for me. It's such a phenomenal song overall and I'm pleased to see it in there.

#63. Sean Paul - Temperature (2006) [5; Great]

What's interesting about this song is that it actually uses the dancehall riddim "Applause", which I think is so interesting. And there's actually two versions of this song which only differ in their rhythm. I also think the music video of this song is so fun because in that video, he is seen rapping with female backup dancers and the dance sequences were the four seasons (first being the blowing leaves centered in autumn, second being him in the snow while the thermometer is freezing centered in winter, the third being in the rain centered in spring, and finally being him at a tanning salon squirting sunscreen centered in summer), which was so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. With my opinion on this one, the reggae production was so amazing, Sean's vocals were super amazing especially in his rapping, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. It spent 1 week at #1 on there during it's run, which was so amazing. But yeah, this is such an amazing song overall and I'm pleased to see it in there.

#62. Jennifer Lopez/Ja Rule - Ain't It Funny (2002) [0; Crap]

I really have no idea what's going on with this song, but my gosh this song is such another garbage song. And there's also the Murder remix of the song, which was also garbage. And I've noticed that she and Cory Rooney wrote this song for the Adam Shankman-directed romantic comedy The Wedding Planner, which they shouldn't have. For my opinion on this song, the production sounded so awful, Jennifer's vocals don't sound good at all here, the lyrics don't really make any sense at all, the chorus was total garbage, and Ja Rule's vocals sounded super awful. And this has also spent 6 weeks at #1 on there during it's run, which I'm not really happy to see. So yeah, definitely a garbage song overall and I really have no idea why this song should be in there. NEXT!

#61. Jason Mraz - I'm Yours (2008) [5; Great]

This song has actually spent 76 weeks on the chart, breaking the record for the longest charting song on the chart that was previously held by LeAnn Rimes' song How Do I Live with 69 weeks on the chart. Well actually this was not the longest charting song recently because the longest charting song on there was by the Glass Animals' song Heat Waves with 91 weeks on there, but it was still one heck of a long run for this song on there. And I've also found the music video for this song being recorded in Hawaii. Maybe it's because this song has a Hawaiian vibe in it. That is so fun to see him record the music video in there. And I've actually been to Hawaii before a few times and it was a lot of fun. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an outstanding song. With my opinion, the production sounded so outstanding, Jason's vocals were super outstanding, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so amazing. It peaked at #6 on there during it's long run, which I'm actually fine with. Although this would've been a Top 5 hit for him, but it's still not bad. But this is such an outstanding song overall and I'm glad to see this song in there.

#60. Justin Timberlake - SexyBack (2006) [5; Great]

What I've found interesting about this song is that he described the song as musicians David Bowie and David Bryne "covering" James Brown's 1970 song Sex Machine and Timbaland also does the backing vocals while Justin's voice is distorted, which was so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal and fun song. With my opinion, the production was super amazing and fun, Justin's distorted voice actually sounds so phenomenal and Timbaland did an amazing job on the backing vocals. And the lyrics were super interesting and the chorus was super phenomenal and so fun. It has also spent 7 weeks at #1 on there, which was so amazing. So yeah, this is such a phenomenal and fun song overall and I'm pleased to see it in there.

#59. Ciara/Missy Elliott - 1, 2, Step (2004) [5; Great]

This is such a phenomenal song. And I've noticed that this song was inspired by 1980s electro music production, which was actually the best thing about it. And throughout the song, she gives a description of how the song's beat feels as she exhorts party-goers to dance to the music. And the song also references her past song Goodies which I'll get to later, and Queen's We Will Rock You which was the best thing about it. With my opinion, the production here sounded super amazing, both Ciara and Missy Elliott sound so phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was super phenomenal. It has peaked at #2 on there during it's run, which I'm good with. But yeah, this is such a phenomenal song overall and I'm pleased to see this song in there.

#58. The Fray - How To Save A Life (2006) [5; Great]

I've noticed that this song is lyrically about the lamentation of a person unable to help a troubled friend which I think fits very well with the title. This song was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal back in 2007, but unfortunately it lost to Dani California from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but that's okay. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Isaac Slade's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was super phenomenal. It has peaked at #3 on there during it's run, which I'm cool with. But yeah, phenomenal song overall and I'm pleased that it made it on there.

#57. Rihanna/Jay-Z - Umbrella (2007) [5; Great]

Absolutely one of the best songs off of Good Girl Gone Bad and one of my favorite songs from her. I've also noticed that the song received universal critical acclaim upon release and was a global success, topping the charts in 19 countries which was crazy and it has one of the highest digital debuts in the U.S. at the time. Gosh, this song sure has got to be her biggest hit single because of all of that. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was super phenomenal, Rihanna's vocals were so heavenly, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. It has spent 7 weeks at #1 on there, which of course I'm pleased about. But yeah, this is such a heavenly song overall and this deserves to be on this list.

#56. Daniel Powter - Bad Day (2005) [5; Great]

This song was actually first recorded in 2002, but unfortunately he and Jeff Dawson were initially unable to find a record label to release it. And it was also used in a French Coca-Cola television advertisement in Christmas 2004 before it was officially released, which was super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another outstanding song. With my opinion on this one, the production was so outstanding, Daniel's vocals were super outstanding, the lyrics were so nice, and the chorus was so amazing. It has spent 5 weeks at #1 on there back in 2006, which of course I'm cool with. So yeah, this is such an outstanding song overall and I'm glad to see this song on this list.

#55. Vertical Horizon - Everything You Want (2000) [5; Great]

I've found out that throughout the music video for this song, a split screen effects depicts two versions of lead singer Matt Scannell acting differently in mirror environments and the lyrics flash across the screen as the band performs the song in a bright, illuminated room with black, vertical pinstripes. That was so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another amazing song. With my opinion on this one, the production was so amazing, Matt's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. It has spent 1 week at #1 on there during it's run following a commercial release, which I'm happy about. But yeah, this is such an amazing song overall and I'm pleased to see this song in there.

#54. Savage Garden - I Knew I Loved You (2000) [0; Crap]

I really have no idea what's wrong with this song, but I gotta say this song is also a garbage song. Though not as bad as Truly Madly Deeply, but it's still not a good song. I've also found out that the music video for this song features then teen actress Kirsten Dunst as member Darren Hayes' love interest which I think is cool. But this is still a garbage song for me. With my opinion, the production doesn't sound good here and the vocals sound so bad and the chorus was total garbage. Although I don't mind the lyrics here because I think they're still nicely-written. It spent 4 weeks at #1 on there during it's run, and of course I'm not happy to see that. This is such another garbage song overall and I don't know how this song got in there. Let's just move on.

#53. Timbaland/Keri Hilson - The Way I Are (2007) [5; Great]

What I've found out about this song is that the music video for this takes place in a dark alley-like area in Salford, England and the extended version which was used in the video also features Timbaland's brother Sebastian and rapper D.O.E., who both contribute an extra verse after the bridge. That was such an interesting fact about it. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Keri's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. It has peaked at #3 on there during it's run, which I'm actually cool with. So yeah, overall it's such a phenomenal song and I'm pleased to see this song on there.

#52. 50 Cent/Olivia - Candy Shop (2005) [3; Decent]

What I've noticed about this song is that it received mixed reviews from critics, with some calling it a retread of his collaboration with Lil' Kim on Magic Stick. It was also nominated for Best Rap Song at the 2006 Grammy Awards and it was also nominated for Best Male Video at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards, which was awesome. But I gotta say, this is just a decent song. There really isn't anything interesting to say about it. Though the production doesn't sound good here and the horns sound weird, but 50 Cent and Olivia's vocals still sound amazing here and the lyrics were super nicely-written. It has hit #1 on there for 9 weeks during it's run on there, which I'm okay with. So yeah, this is decent overall and I'm fine with it on there.

#51. Alicia Keys - If I Ain't Got You (2004) [5; Great]

Inspired by the 2001 death of singer Aaliyah, the attacks of 9/11, and other events in the world and in her life, this song is about "how material things don't feed the soul". And the single cover of it depicts her similarly to the subject Man Ray's 1924 photograph Le Violon d'Ingres, which was so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion on this one, the production was super amazing, Alicia's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. It has peaked at #4 on there during it's run, which I'm actually cool with. But yeah, this is a phenomenal song overall and I'm pleased to see this song in there.

#50. Sean Paul - Get Busy (2003) [5; Great]

This song was actually one of the many hits from the jumpy handclap riddim known as the Diwali Riddim that was produced by then-newcomer Steven Mardsen, and it was the only song that never made the "Diwali" rhythm album on Greensleeves Records as it was more than likely a late entry. That was such an interesting fact that I found out about it. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Sean's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal and so fun. It spent 3 weeks at #1 on there during it's run, which was amazing. But yeah, this is such an amazing and fun song overall and I'm pleased to see this song in there.

#49. Coldplay - Viva La Vida (2008) [5; Great]

Absolutely one of my favorite songs from them. And the song was written by all members if the band from their studio album. And the lyrics to this song contain historical and Christian references (King of France Louis XVI, Roman cavalry choirs and the French Revolution), and the track is built around a looping string section in unison with a digitally processed piano, with other layers gradually being added as the song builds. It also won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in 2009, which was absolutely amazing. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was super phenomenal, Chris Martin's vocals were so heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly. It spent 1 week at #1 on there during it's run, which I'm so happy about. So yeah, this is such a heavenly song overall and I'm pleased to see this rank this high on there.

#48. Snoop Dogg/Pharrell - Drop It Like It's Hot (2004) [4; Good]

Yes, this is just a good song for me. It's not really that great. And what I've noticed about this song is that it was actually nominated at the 2005 Grammy Awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. And on December 10, 2009, it was named the most popular rap song of the decade by Billboard, which I'm actually good with. With my opinion on this song, the production sounded okay but not that great, but Snoop and Pharrell both sound amazing here and I think the lyrics were still super interesting and the chorus doesn't actually sound that bad. It has spent 3 weeks at #1 on there during it's run, which I'm actually good with. So yeah, this is just a good song for me overall and I'm cool with it ranking this high on there.

#46. Creed - With Arms Wide Open (2000) [5; Great]

What I've noticed about this song is that Scott Stapp and Mark Tremonti began writing the lyrics of this song in early 1998 during the My Own Prison tour, when he found out that his then wife Hillaree Burns was pregnant with his first child, Dagger. The song also received honors at the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2001, being nominated for Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group, as well as Stapp and Tremonti winning the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song, which was so amazing. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, the vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. But yeah, this is such a phenomenal song overall and I'm pleased to see this song make it in there.

#45. Terror Squad/Fat Joe/Remy - Lean Back (2004) [4; Good]

What I've noticed about this song is that it was actually ranked #55 on VH1's "100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop" back in 2008, which was actually so amazing. And Fat Joe described the dance in the music video as throwing back the right shoulder to the beat of the song, which was super interesting. As far as the song goes, this is also a good song for me, but it's actually not that great. With my opinion on this one, I'm not really huge on the production here, although it doesn't actually sound that bad but it's okay. But Fat Joe and Remy both sound super amazing here and the chorus still sounds amazing. And I think the lyrics were still super interesting here. It has spent 3 weeks at #1 on there during it's run, which I'm actually cool with. So yeah, this is just a good song overall, but not great. But I still like it and I'm cool with this song ranking this high on there.

#44. Nelly Furtado/Timbaland - Promiscuous (2006) [5; Great]

One thing I've noticed about this song is that it's lyrics feature a conversation between a man and a woman who call each other promiscuous, hence the title. It also won the "Best Pop Single of the Year" at the 2006 Billboard Music Awards and received a nomination for the "Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals" at the 49th Grammy Awards, but unfortunately it lost to Tony Bennett and Stevie Wonder's "For Once In My Life", but that's okay. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Nelly's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. But I gotta say, this is just a decent song for me. There really isn't anything interesting about it. Though I don't really like the production here, but Lil Wayne's vocals still sound amazing here and the chorus was okay. But I think the lyrics were still super interesting. But I gotta say, this is also a decent song for me. There really isn't anything interesting to say about it. Though I'm not really huge on the production here, but Ciara's vocals still sound amazing here. Though Petey Pablo's vocals doesn't actually sound that good in his contribution. But the lyrics were still very nicely-written and the chorus was just decent. It has spent 7 weeks at #1 on there which was actually so amazing. But this is decent overall and I'm okay with this song on there.

#30. Jennifer Lopez/Ja Rule - I'm Real (2001) [0; Crap]

Oh gosh... here we go again. This is absolutely another garbage song. And like Ain't It Funny, there's also the Murder remix of the song, which was also garbage. And the remix also received mixed reviews for it's lyrics. But however, both songs have been appreciated for the use of the samples. But this is still a garbage song. There's really nothing good to say about it. Though this wasn't as bad as Ain't It Funny, but it's still garbage. With my opinion, the production was so bad, Jennifer's vocals don't sound good at all here, the chorus was total garbage, and Ja Rule's vocals of course sound super awful. Although I could say that the lyrics were still nicely-written, but this is still garbage overall. It has spent 5 weeks at #1 on there during it's run which does not deserve. I really have no idea why this song would rank in the Top 30 on this list. NEXT!

This is also her debut single. And what I've noticed about this song is that it won three Grammy Awards in 2002, including Song of the Year, Best R&B Song, and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, and it was also nominated for Record of the Year. Absolutely one of my favorite songs from him. And I've noticed that the song's lyrics explicitly sum up the background of his character in 8 Mile, B-Rabbit, with the first verse summing up much of the plot of the movie. It also incorporates several aggressive themes, largely dealing with the struggles dealt with by B-Rabbit, and how he eventually overcomes his many problems and obstacles to gain the respect of other rappers, which was super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so heavenly, Eminem's rapping was super heavenly, the lyrics were super duper interesting, and the chorus was extremely heavenly.
