AT40: Taylor Swift (3) Week Of September 9, 2023

So I've now officially started my 3rd year of college. So far I'm off to a good start on my first week. Hopefully I'll keep on working hard throughout the school year! Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so phenomenal. We are now back in the Golden Ages of the countdown because of our #1 song this week on there. And we do have some more interesting debuts this week, which I'm gonna get to later like always. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Harry Styles - Late Night Talking (1 of 3 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm fine with Noah Kahan/Post Malone - Dial Drunk (+9) gaining some airplay on there this week. I'll still give credit to it. Now, let's see if it'll be in the Top 20 soon.

Morgan Wallen - Last Night (-4) sure has been losing some airplay recently. Though I'm sure it's already on it's way out of here so it might leave sometime soon.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

Jelly Roll - Need A Favor: This is another country song that has been doing super well on the country radio charts which was interesting. And I've also been hearing this song a lot on The Highway as well. I've also been hearing Save Me on The Highway a lot recently. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Son Of A Sinner. But definitely not as good as Save Me, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, his vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this one does on there.

Olivia Rodrigo - Bad Idea Right?: The best debut this week. Since Vampire hit the top spot on there last week, we now have this song making it's debut on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Vampire, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Olivia's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Miguel - Sure Thing: I kinda expected it to drop because I know it has been in the Top 5 for a while. And I'm sure this is going to be out of here within the next week or so.

4. Dua Lipa - Dance The Night: I'm pleased to see this song move up. And I'm sure this is going to be in the Top 3 next week. Let's see if it'll happen.

3. Rema/Selena Gomez - Calm Down: I'm sure this song is going to be out of the Top 3 next week. I know it has been in there for a while so I'm sure it's going to be out of here very soon.

2. Olivia Rodrigo - Vampire: It dropped out of the top spot. But it still had a nice time in there last week. But I don't think it's ever going to come back to the top spot, but I'd like to see it stay in the Top 3 for a few more weeks longer.

1. Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer: I'm super pleased to see this song come back to the top spot. And again I'm sure it'll hold the spot for a few more weeks longer. Let's see how long it'll hold the spot on it's second run.
