Taylor Swift (3) Week Of September 2, 2023
I hope everyone's been having a great Labor Day weekend! I sure am having a great one. I actually can't wait to start my 3rd year of college on Tuesday. Hopefully I'll do amazing! Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it still looks amazing, however we did get rid of a song that was going to be in my top songs of the year which of course it will be missed. But we do have some more interesting debuts. But like always, I'll get to them later on in this post. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm so pleased to see Olivia Rodrigo - Bad Idea Right? (+7) gain some airplay this week. This deserves to take the biggest jump! Now, let's see if it'll be in the Top 20 soon.
I'm not really too thrilled to see David Kushner - Daylight (-7) take the biggest drop. This does not deserve it! But hopefully it'll move back up soon.
New Song/s on the countdown this week are:
Selena Gomez - Single Soon: She's back with new solo music since My Mind & Me last year, which was actually so interesting. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. But definitely not as good as My Mind & Me, but it's still amazing. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Selena's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were very nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see how this one does on there.
Miley Cyrus - Used To Be Young: The best countdown debut this week. This is absolutely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Jaded. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Miley's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should do well on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Olivia Rodrigo - Vampire: It debuted the Top 5 this week. I'm so pleased to see this song in there. It really deserves it! Now, let's see if it'll go to the Top 3 soon.
4. Doechii - What It Is (Block Boy): I'm glad to see this song move up, but again I don't think it's ever going to hit the Top 3 on there, but maybe it might. Let's see what happens next.
3. Harry Styles - Satellite: I'm so pleased to see this song in the Top 3. I actually expected it to be in there and thank goodness it finally did it. Now, let's see if it'll go to the top spot soon.
2. Dua Lipa - Dance The Night: It's almost at the top spot, but again I don't think it'll ever going to be in there, but it might stay in the Top 3 for a couple more weeks at the very least, but let's see if it'll be at the top spot soon.
1. Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer: Holding the top spot for the 3rd week in a row. I'm super pleased that it's still in there. Gosh, she sure has been getting super popular on there. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Nicki Minaj - Last Time I Saw You: Since Barbie World is on it's way out of the countdown, we've now picked up this song on there. As far as the song goes, is absolutely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Barbie World, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Nicki's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll make the countdown soon.
Timbaland/Nelly Furtado/Justin Timberlake - Keep Going Up: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. And this was actually the second time those three collaborated because the last time they collaborated was Give It To Me back in 2007, which was a song that I enjoyed. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Give It To Me. With my opinion, Timbaland's production was so phenomenal, both Nelly and Justin sound super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
