AT40: Doja Cat (2) Week Of November 18, 2023

As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it still looks super amazing, although we did get rid of a song that was going to be in my top songs of the year, and of course it will forever be missed. But we do have some more amazing debuts this week, but I'm gonna get to them later on in this post like always. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Doja Cat - Vegas (3rd and final week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm super pleased to see Diplo/Jessie Murph/Polo G - Heartbroken (+5) take the biggest jump. It deserves to gain some airplay this week! Now, hopefully this should go to the Top 20 soon.

I'm not really to thrilled about The Weeknd/Playboi Carti/Madonna - Popular (-11) taking the biggest drop this week. This does not deserve it! But I do know it's been in there for a while so I'm sure this is going to be out of here very soon.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

Taylor Swift - Slut: The best debut this week. And I have exciting news for everybody! She has officially put out her re-recorded album that we've all been waiting for, and that is 1989 (Taylor's Version). I was really waiting for this to come out, and now it's finally here! As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Cruel Summer, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Taylor's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.

Doja Cat - Agora Hills: Since Paint The Town Red hit the top spot on there, we now have this song making it's debut on there. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Paint The Town Red, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Doja's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should do well on there.

The Kid Laroi/Jung Kook/Central Cee - Too Much: This is just a decent song. There really isn't anything interesting to say about it. Although I could say that this song wasn't as good as Thousand Miles by a little bit, but it's still decent. I'm not really huge on the production here, but Laroi's vocals still sound outstanding and I actually like Central Cee's verse because he also sounds so outstanding in it. And Jung Kook's vocals in the chorus were actually so amazing and the lyrics are what I don't mind with because I think they're still so nicely-written. But this is a decent song overall. Let's see how this one does on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. SZA - Snooze: It dropped out of the Top 3. But it still had an amazing run on there. But I'm sure this song is about to be on it's way out of here.

4. Miley Cyrus - Used To Be Young: It debuted the Top 5 this week. I'm pleased to see this song in there. It deserves it! Now, let's see if it'll go to the Top 3 soon.

3. Doechii - What It Is (Block Boy): I'm pleased to see this song in the Top 3, but I'm not sure if it'll actually go to the top spot. But let's see if it actually does soon.

2. Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer: I'm pleased that it's still at this spot. But yeah like what I said I'm sure this song is probably gonna remain at this spot for a few more weeks longer and then be on it's way out of here. But let's see what happens next with it.

1. Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red: Holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. I'm super duper pleased that it's still in there. And again I'd like to see it hold the spot for a couple more weeks longer at the very least. Let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
