Olivia Rodrigo (1) Week Of December 9, 2023

So my birthday is coming up this Monday. Again I'm gonna be turning 21 which was going to be a big one because at that age, I'm going to start gambling at the casinos and start drinking some beer, which I'm really looking forward to. Hopefully it'll be a blast! Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so amazing. We do have another brand new #1 song on there, but I'm gonna get to it later on in this post like always. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero (4 of 10 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so pleased to see Jack Harlow - Lovin On Me (+16) take a huge big jump this week into the Top 10. What a big week it has been for him! Now, let's see if it'll go to the Top 5 soon.

Doechii - What It Is (Block Boy) had the biggest drop for the second week in a row. And not only that, but The Kid Laroi/Jung Kook/Central Cee - Too Much (-8) was also tied for the biggest drop this week, which I'm actually okay with. But I'm sure they might be out of here very soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Sabrina Carpenter - Feather: This song has now made it's debut on the countdown this week after dropping out of Hit Bound 8 months ago and came back a couple weeks ago. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Nonsense. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Sabrina's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this one does on there.

Olivia Rodrigo - Can't Catch Me Now: The best countdown debut this week. And this was actually one of the songs that was taken from the soundtrack of the new Hunger Games movie, which was actually super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Get Him Back, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Olivia's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should do well on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Post Malone - Enough Is Enough: Yeah, this deserves to move down! Now we just need to get this song out of the Top 5 next week.

4. Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now: I'm so pleased to see this song move up. And I'm sure this song is going to be in the Top 3 within the next week or so.

3. Miley Cyrus - Used To Be Young: I have a feeling that this song is going to be leaving the Top 3 within the next week or so. But I'm still glad that it's still in there though.

2. Tate McRae - Greedy: It dropped out of the top spot. But it still had a phenomenal run on there. Though I'm sure this song is going to stay in the Top 5 for a few more weeks longer. Let's see how long it'll stay in there.

1. Olivia Rodrigo - Get Him Back!: I'm so pleased to see this song at the top spot. And this was actually her first #1 song on there since Good 4 U in 2021, which was actually super amazing. Now, let's see how long it'll hold the spot.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Jung Kook - Standing Next To You

2. Boys Like Girls - Miracle (DEBUT)

3. Petit Biscuit/AJ - You Don't Ignore (Too Late)

4. Alec Benjamin - I Sent My Therapist To Therapy (DEBUT)

5. Dove Cameron - White Glove

6. Patrick Martin - Dandelion Eyes

7. Nicki Minaj - Pink Friday Girls (DEBUT)

8. Mitski - My Love Mine All Mine

9. The Kid Laroi - Bleed

10. Knox - Girl On The Internet (DEBUT)

11. PinkPantheress/Central Cee - Nice To Meet You

12. LANY - XXL

13. Tate McRae - Run For The Hills (DEBUT)

14. Neiked/Ayra Starr - You're Hired

15. Dominic Fike - Mama's Boy

16. Bruce Melodie/Shaggy - When She's Around (Funga Macho)

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Boys Like Girls - Miracle: Does anybody remember this group? They brought us Love Drunk and Two Is Better Than One back in 2009 in which they're both hits back then. And now, they're finally back. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Love Drunk or Two Is Better Than One, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Martin Johnson's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should be on the countdown soon.

Alec Benjamin - I Sent My Therapist To Therapy: I really have no idea what's going on with this song, but my gosh this song is so horrible and garbage. And there's one thing about that in this song compared to all of his other songs: he was trying to rap, and that was definitely not my type. His vocals of course don't sound good here and he can't really rap very well and the production is so generic and the chorus was so garbage. But I'll give credit to the lyrics because I think they're still interesting. But this is definitely not a good song overall for me. Easily his worst ever. I'm really hoping this doesn't make the countdown. NEXT!

Nicki Minaj - Pink Friday Girls: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. And what I've noticed about this song is that it actually samples Cyndi Lauper's 1984 hit song Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, which was super amazing. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song and it's actually a step up from Last Time I Saw You. With my opinion on this song, the production was super phenomenal, Nicki's vocals were so heavenly, I'm definitely a huge fan of the lyrics, and the chorus was super heavenly. Hopefully this should be on the countdown soon.

Knox - Girl On The Internet: So I've figured out that he's now the next One To Watch, which I think is super amazing because it's always nice to see new artists make their first appearance on there rather than the same artists. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Not The 1975, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Knox's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Tate McRae - Run For The Hills: So she has put out her new album Think Later recently, and we've now picked up a new single from the album. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Exes, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Tate's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should make the countdown soon.
