Tate McRae (4) Week Of November 11, 2023
As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it still looks amazing, though there were some good and bad stuff happening on there. However, we do have another interesting Top 5 this week, but like always, I'm gonna get to it later on in this post. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm so pleased to see Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now (+11) take the biggest jump. This really deserves it! And I'm really hoping that it should go to the Top 10 very soon.
I'm not really too thrilled to see Olivia Rodrigo - Bad Idea Right? (-11) take the biggest drop. This does not deserve to leave the Top 10 from the Top 5! But I do have a feeling that this might be the end of it.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Post Malone - Enough Is Enough: Yes, this deserves to drop! And this seriously needs to be out of the Top 5 next week. We don't want to see him in there.
4. Doechii - What It Is (Block Boy): I actually expected this song to leave the Top 3. And I'm sure that it's going to be out of the Top 5 sometime soon.
3. Olivia Rodrigo - Get Him Back!: I'm so pleased to see this song in the Top 3. And she also replaced herself in the Top 5 this week, which was so amazing. Now, hopefully this song should be at the top spot soon.
2. Miley Cyrus - Used To Be Young: I'm glad to see this song move back up to this spot, but I don't think it's ever going to come back to the top spot. But let's see how long it'll remain in the Top 3.
1. Tate McRae - Greedy: Holding the top spot for the 4th week in a row. I'm so pleased that it's still in there, however I'm sure another song might take over the top spot very soon, but let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:
1. Matt Hansen - Something To Remember
2. Jack Harlow - Lovin On Me (DEBUT)
3. Elle Darlington - Wish You Would
4. AJR - Touchy Feely Fool (DEBUT)
5. Jonas Brothers/Bailey Zimmerman - Strong Enough (DEBUT)
6. Pitbull/Nile Rodgers - Freak 54 (Freak Out)
7. Olivia Rodrigo - Can't Catch Me Now
8. Jessie Murph/Jelly Roll - Wild Ones (DEBUT)
9. Henry Moodie - Pick Up The Phone
10. Dua Lipa - Houdini (DEBUT)
11. The Kid Laroi - Bleed (DEBUT)
12. Lily Meola - Without You
13. PinkPantheress/Central Cee - Nice To Meet You (DEBUT)
14. Jung Kook - Standing Next To You
15. Maneskin - Honey (Are U Coming?)
16. Neiked/Ayra Starr - You're Hired
New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Jack Harlow - Lovin On Me: What I've noticed about this song is that it actually uses the same formula as First Class last year. In First Class, he sampled Fergie's song Glamorous from 2007 in the hook. And now in this new song, he sampled Cadillac Dale's song Whatever from 1995 in the hook, which was a song that I've actually never heard of before. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song and it's actually a step up from First Class. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Jack's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
AJR - Touchy Feely Fool: So they put out a new album recently, and this was one of the songs that was off of the album. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another amazing song. But definitely not as good as Yes I'm A Mess, but it's still amazing. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Jack's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were super duper interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
Jonas Brothers/Bailey Zimmerman - Strong Enough: This is such an interesting collaboration. And of course we remember Bailey had a Hit Bound dropout last year called Rock And A Hard Place, and that was a song that I enjoyed back then in case you remember. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely another amazing song. With my opinion on it, the production was so amazing, both Nick and Joe sound super amazing, Bailey's vocals were also super amazing in his contribution, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Jessie Murph/Jelly Roll - Wild Ones: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. This is absolutely a pretty heavenly song and it's actually the best song that I've ever heard from her. It's definitely a huge step up from Heartbroken and all of her other songs. With my opinion on this song, the production was pretty heavenly, Jessie's vocals were pretty heavenly, Jelly Roll's vocals were also pretty heavenly in his contribution, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was pretty heavenly. This is definitely going to end up in my Top 10 Songs of the year when it makes the countdown soon. Here's to hoping that it should be in there.
Dua Lipa - Houdini: One thing I've noticed about this song is that it's actually produced by Kevin Parker and Tame Impala, which I think is super amazing. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Dance The Night, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Dua's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
The Kid Laroi - Bleed: So his new album The First Time has recently been dropped out, and now here he is with one of the songs that was off of the album. But I gotta say, this is also a decent song. There really isn't anything interesting to say about it. Though I'm not really huge on Laroi's vocals here, but the production actually doesn't sound that bad and the chorus actually sounds decent and the lyrics were still so interesting. But overall, this is decent. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
PinkPantheress/Central Cee - Nice To Meet You: This is absolutely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Mosquito, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, PinkPantheress's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, the chorus was so heavenly, and Central Cee's rapping in his verse was super phenomenal and even way better on here than in Too Much. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
