Dua Lipa (3) Week Of February 17, 2024

As far as the Super Bowl goes, I thought that it actually went super amazing. Although it's actually long, but I still had a lot of fun watching it. The Chiefs won that one 22-25. The game went to overtime after they're both tied at 19. Then the 49ers came back in the lead after a field goal and then with 3 seconds left of overtime, Patrick Mahomes threw the ball to Mecole Hardman for the game-winning touchdown to give them their second straight Super Bowl title. I'm so pleased to see that happen. And of course I'm also pleased to see Mahomes get his second straight Super Bowl title. He really deserves it! And I thought Usher did an amazing job on the halftime show. He really nailed it especially in his old songs. But yeah, this is such a fun game overall. I had a blast watching it. Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so amazing. We do have some more amazing debuts this week, but like always, I'm gonna get to them later on in this post. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so pleased to see Justin Timberlake - Selfish (+12) take the biggest jump to the Top 20. This really deserves it! What a week for him! Now, let's see if it'll go to the Top 10 soon.

I'm not too thrilled about Jack Harlow - Lovin On Me (-8) taking the biggest drop out of the Top 10. Why would it do that? But I'm sure it's going to be out of here soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Fletcher - Lead Me On: The best countdown debut this week. We actually haven't heard anything from her since a couple years ago when she had Becky's So Hot on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Becky's So Hot. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, her vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this one should get on there.

Paul Russell - Say Cheese: Since Lil Boo Thang left the countdown a couple weeks ago, we now have a new song from him making it's debut on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Lil Boo Thang. With my opinion on this one, the production was super amazing, Paul's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see how far this goes on there.

LANY - XXL: They've finally made their first ever countdown appearance on there this week. And I've actually heard of this duo before this song because I've heard some of their other songs and I thought they were amazing. As far as this song goes, it's absolutely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, the vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this one does on there.

Victoria Monet - On My Mama: She has finally made her first ever countdown appearance on there this week. And of course we all remember her in her collaboration with Ariana Grande on Monopoly back in 2019 which Hits 1 should've picked up. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Victoria's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this goes on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Knox - Not The 1975: I'm pleased to see this song debuting the Top 5. And now this is his first Top 5 appearance on there. Now, let's see if it'll go to the Top 3 soon.

4. Olivia Rodrigo - Get Him Back!: Well I actually didn't expect this song to come back to the Top 5, but I'm pleased that it's back in there. But again I don't think it'll go back to the Top 3.

3. Tate McRae - Exes: This also debuted the Top 5 this week and now it's in the Top 3. I'm so pleased to see this song in there. Now, let's see if it'll go to the top spot soon.

2. Sabrina Carpenter - Feather: Maybe this song might remain in the Top 3 for a couple more weeks and then be on it's way out of here. But let's see what happens next.

1. Dua Lipa - Houdini: Holding the top spot for the 3rd week in a row. Gosh, this song sure is becoming a hit on there. I'm pleased that it's still in there once again. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.

Madison Beer - Make You Mine: We haven't been hearing from her since last year when she had Home To Another One which dropped out of Hit Bound last year. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Home To Another One, but it's still phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Alex Warren - Before You Leave Me: This is absolutely an amazing song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so amazing, Alex's vocals were super amazing and I actually found him that he actually sounds like another Lewis Capaldi wannabe on there which was actually so interesting. But other than that, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Dua Lipa - Training Season: Since Houdini hit the top spot on the countdown, we now have this song making it's debut on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Houdini, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Dua's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.

The Beaches - Blame Brett: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. I've been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. And now, here they are making their first ever appearance on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song. With my opinion on it, the production was so heavenly, the vocals were super heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. This is definitely going to end up in my Top 10 Songs of the year when it makes the countdown. Hopefully it'll be in there soon.

Nicky Youre - S.A.D.: Interesting title. I was actually wonder what that actually stands for. But I'm gonna have to look it up sometime. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely another phenomenal and fun song. But definitely not as good as Found, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was super amazing, Nicky's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
