#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Miguel - Sure Thing (1 of 7 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm so pleased about Doja Cat - OKLOSER (+9) gaining some airplay throughout this week. It deserves to take the biggest jump! What a week for her! Now, let's see if it'll go to the Top 20 soon.
Beyonce - Texas Hold 'Em (-12) sure has been losing some airplay recently. I'm not too thrilled to see it take the biggest drop. But I do have a feeling that it's going to be out of here very soon.
New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:
Marshmello/Kane Brown - Miles On It: They have collaborated for the first time since One Thing Right back in 2019, and of course that was a song that I enjoyed back then in case you're new here. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal and fun song and it's actually a step up from One Thing Right. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Kane's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this goes on there.
Benson Boone - Slow It Down: The best debut this week. We now have this song making it's debut on there since Beautiful Things hit the top spot. And it looks like he was trying to use the same formula he used on Beautiful Things with this new song. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Beautiful Things by a little bit, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Benson's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this one does on there.
Shaboozey - A Bar Song (Tipsy): I've been hearing this song a lot on The Highway. And what I've noticed about this song is that it actually samples J-Kwon's 2004 hit song Tipsy, which was super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Shaboozey's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly and super fun. Let's see how far this goes on there.
Post Malone/Morgan Wallen - I Had Some Help: So it looks like he's now starting to do country music, so I'm actually okay with that I guess. At least he decided to do a new genre instead of that crappy hip-hop music. Although I still hate him, but he actually sounds a little better in country music but still not that good. I actually gave this song a listen on The Highway to see if he'd have a better voice, though it worked out a little bit, but not by much. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a decent song. With my opinion on this song, the production was actually so amazing, but Post's vocals still don't sound that good here but they're not awful like in his other songs, but still not there. But Morgan's vocals were actually super amazing in his contribution and the chorus was still so phenomenal and the lyrics were still very nicely-written. But this is decent overall. Let's see how this one does on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Sabrina Carpenter - Feather: Well I actually didn't expect this song to still be in the Top 5. But again I'm sure this will definitely be it's last week in there.
4. SZA - Saturn: I'm so pleased to see this song debut the Top 5 this week. It really deserves to be in there! Now, can we please let this song go to the Top 3 soon?
3. Teddy Swims - Lose Control: I have a feeling that this song is going to be out of the Top 3 soon. But it still had quite an amazing run on there overall.
2. Ariana Grande - We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love): It's almost at the top spot! And I'm sure this song is going to be in there very soon because I know she's been having a lot of #1 songs on there.
1. Benson Boone - Beautiful Things: Holding the top spot for the 4th week in a row. Gosh, this song sure has been becoming so popular recently. But I'm sure another song might take over the top spot soon, but let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
