AT40: SZA (1) Week Of June 15, 2024

As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so amazing, however we did get rid of a song that was going to be in my top songs of the year which will forever be missed. But we do have yet another brand new #1 song on there once again which was always a nice thing. And we also have some more amazing debuts this week. #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Miguel - Sure Thing (3 of 7 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm fine with Billie Eilish - Lunch (+11) taking the biggest jump into the Top 20. I'll still give credit to that. Now, let's see if it'll be in the Top 10 soon.

Olivia Rodrigo - Obsessed and Tate McRae - Greedy (-9) were tied for the biggest drop this week and they both dropped out of the Top 20. Though I do know they have been losing some airplay recently so I'm sure they're going to be out of here soon.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe!: The best debut this week. She has finally made her first ever appearance on there this week. Now in case you remember last year, she had a Hit Bound dropout called Kaleidoscope which never made it on there, and that was a song that I enjoyed back then. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Kaleidoscope. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Chappell's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this will do on there.

Gracie Abrams - Risk: I believe this was also her first ever appearance on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from I Know It Won't Work. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Gracie's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were so marvelous, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this one goes on there. Hopefully it'll do well.

Camila Cabello/Lil Nas X - He Knows: She has finally made her return on there this week. Gosh, I've actually been waiting for it to happen since she's been a super talented singer in my opinion. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Camila's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, the chorus was so heavenly, and Lil Nas X's vocals in his verse actually don't sound that bad here. Let's see how far this gets on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Teddy Swims - Lose Control: It dropped out of the Top 3 which I actually expected to happen. And I'm sure this is going to be out of the Top 5 within the next week or not.

4. Hozier - Too Sweet: I'm super pleased to see this song debut the Top 5 this week. It totally deserves it! Now, hopefully this should go to the Top 3 next week.

3. Ariana Grande - We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love): It dropped out of the top spot. But it still had a nice time in there last week. Though I'd somehow like it to come back to the top spot, but I'm not sure if it'll actually happen.

2. Benson Boone - Beautiful Things: Yeah I'd like this song to stay in the Top 3 for at least a few more weeks and then be out of here. Let's see how long it'll remain in there.

1. SZA - Saturn: I'm so pleased to see this song at the top spot. It has also made it to the top spot on it's Top 3 debut on there this week, and that was always an amazing thing to see. Now, let's see how long it'll hold the spot.
