Shaboozey (2) Week Of August 10, 2024
As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it actually looks so interesting. There has been lots of interesting stuff happening on there including our one debut this week that has made it out of the abyss, and we also have quite another interesting Top 5 this week. But like always, I'm gonna get to it later on in this post. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm so pleased to see Benson Boone - Slow It Down (+5) take the biggest jump, but I don't think this song is ever gonna come back to the Top 10. But it's still a nice thing to see on there.
Hozier - Too Sweet (-8) has started to lose airplay on there recently. But I'm sure this is going to be out of here very soon. But it still had an incredible run on there.
New Song/s on the countdown this week are:
UPSAHL - Summer So Hot: She has finally made her first ever countdown appearance this week. And what I've noticed about her is that she was a songwriter who writes songs for Dua Lipa and a bunch of other artists, which was so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's absolutely a phenomenal and fun song. With my opinion on it, the production was so unstoppable, UPSAHL's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this one gets on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Teddy Swims - The Door: I'm still waiting for this song to move up and get to the Top 3, but I'm really hoping that it should do it very soon.
4. Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe!: I'm pleased to see this song come back to the Top 5 this week. And I'm really hoping that this should be back in the Top 3 within the next week or so.
3. Post Malone/Morgan Wallen - I Had Some Help: I'm still okay with this song still in the Top 3, but again I'm sure this is going to be out of here very soon. This might be it's last week in there.
2. Sabrina Carpenter - Please Please Please: I'm still waiting for this song to get to the top spot. But I'm not sure if it'll actually happen, but hopefully it does soon.
1. Shaboozey - A Bar Song (Tipsy): Holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. I'm so pleased that it's still in there. It really has been doing so well on both pop and country radio charts recently. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:
1. Jessie Murph/Teddy Swims - Dirty
2. Katy Perry - Lifetimes (DEBUT)
3. Machine Gun Kelly/Jelly Roll - Lonely Road
4. Megan Thee Stallion/Yuki Chiba - Mamushi

13. Dasha - Didn't I
14. All Time Low - Dear Maria, Count Me In (ATL's Version) (DEBUT)
15. Maren Morris - Push Me Over
16. Joe Jonas - Work It Out
New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Katy Perry - Lifetimes: After Woman's World flopped harder than J Christ, we've now picked up a new single from her. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Woman's World, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Katy's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Khalid - Heatstroke: It's actually been a couple years since we last heard from him. And now he has made his return on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. But definitely not as good as Skyline, but it's still amazing. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Khalid's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were very interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Beabadoobee - Beaches: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. I've been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song and it's actually the best song that I've ever heard from her. In fact, it's actually among her better vocal performances which was amazing. With my opinion on this song, the production was super phenomenal, her vocals were so heavenly, the lyrics were super duper nicely-written, and the chorus was super heavenly. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.
Shawn Mendes - Why Why Why: He's finally back after having that Hit Bound dropout called What The Hell Are We Dying For last year. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another amazing song and it's actually a little bit of a step up from What The Hell Are We Dying For. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Shawn's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so nice, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Finneas - For Cryin' Out Loud!: He has made his return on there since Till Forever Falls Apart with Ashe back in 2021. But I gotta say, this is just a decent song. There really isn't anything interesting to say about it. With my opinion on it, the production still sounds so amazing, but I'm not really huge on Finneas's vocals. He doesn't sound that good here. But the chorus was decent and I don't really mind the lyrics here because I think they're still very nicely-written. But this is decent overall. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
All Time Low - Dear Maria, Count Me In (ATL's Version): So they did a remake of their 2008 hit song, which was actually super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and this new version of it is actually on the same level as the original. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Alex's vocals were super phenomenal, I'm definitely a huge fan of the lyrics, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll make the countdown soon.
